Hey, could you find a way to make the gangs less prone to shoot you as soon as you try to arrest them? 

I've never been to LA (or the USA for that matter) but you would think even gangsters react differently towards cops aiming a gun at them, than they do towards some random guy doing the same.

Another question: Is the mod going to have a configurable ini or, better yet, an ingame menu to persistently change some options like LCPDFR had and more (e.g. weapon loadout, max number of cops/cars in a pursuit, max/min time to next callout etc.)?

Also, would it be possible to make all police vehicles unlocked so I don't have to smash in the window when getting a new one from the precinct?

I've never been to LA (or the USA for that matter) but you would think even gangsters react differently towards cops aiming a gun at them, than they do towards some random guy doing the same.

I think this a good point, most of the time the gangs will back down when presented with a police presence.  I would like to see a possibility of it going south especially if you try to handle it by yourself without calling for backup.  Not sure how much you can manipulate the AI behavior but that would be a cool random event when dealing with gang members or biker gangs.

Would it be possible to enable/disable which other police vehicles are on patrol/respond as backup? Let's say I just wanted LSPD Vapid Staniers and LSSD Vapid Staniers responding as backup.

The same thing happens when simply changing the player model with a trainer. I think it's just the game itself being weird about it as you're technically no longer one of the main characters.

Just reading through a few comments, and I must say I am happy to have a stable gameplay. LCPDFR for me was a nightmare on my machine. I can play this happily for a couple hours straight, no crashes no problems.

It will always run on ragehook. Pne reason is because it is really powerful. Another reason is that LMS help devlop ragehook and LSPDFR so they are able to easily communicate and add more to each thing.

Why wouldnt you want it to run on ragehook.

Is LSPDFR ever going to run on script hook or are we stuck with ragehook

Probably not, as a lot of the planned features have been said to not be possible with ScriptHook. By just taking a look at the mods made/being made with it - as well as being aware of the constant praise of its capabilities by other modders - RageHook is a much, much more powerful tool than ScriptHook.

 

I, personally, like RageHook way more than Scripthook.

As we've seen from the screenshot, how about, when interacting with a ped, you can flash your badge? that would add a nice touch to the process. Also, being able to call in a spike strip unit would be an amazing way to end pursuits (maybe making it a harder chance to spawn, so that it's not overused?)

Is LSPDFR ever going to run on script hook or are we stuck with ragehook

The simple reason is that we've developed with the RAGE Plugin Hook since day one, even before the C++ Scripthook was released.  In any event, LSPDFR would never use the C++ hook as it is written in an entirely different language.  The only feasible alternative would be to use the Community ScriptHook .Net.

Ultimately, I know there's some bad bits about the RAGE Plugin Hook.  It also has its good bits too, though, and the team here does its best to reduce the bad parts.

Hey Sam, I noticed the LSPDFR now reads 1.0e.. Has there been an update or is that simply a mistake? 

It should be "e" there was a update two days ago to work better with the latest version of Rage.

hi guys, I wondered if in a future version it will be possible to translate the mods LSPDFR because I am french and I'd like to translate it into French and share it to the community.

I havent seen any mod that does this, but what would be really cool if the random stealing events would be implemented. Like when you are in singleplayer and you see someone robbing someone and you have to chase him, and then have option to keep the stolen money or return it. But in this mod you could just catch the criminal.. 

I havent seen any mod that implements these random events so is there somekind problem why they cant be done? It would be really cool addition to this mod especially. :D
