  • Something like this was maybe planned, but it'd rely on us having the jail interior working I think. A taste of things to come:

I think that the first release of LSPDFR is very good considering its age. It is amazing what the development team has accomplished in the short period of time since the game release, and with such li

  • Ultimately the limitations imposed by the RAGE Plugin Hook were not made by any LSPDFR developers.  With LCPDFR, we didn't provide support for people using cracked versions of the game, but it wasn't

I havent seen any mod that does this, but what would be really cool if the random stealing events would be implemented. Like when you are in singleplayer and you see someone robbing someone and you have to chase him, and then have option to keep the stolen money or return it. But in this mod you could just catch the criminal..

I havent seen any mod that implements these random events so is there somekind problem why they cant be done? It would be really cool addition to this mod especially. :D

Funny story: I just decided to do a patrol as Michael in his beta LSPD uniform, and came across one of these events. I arrested the robber, and took him to the station, and it all worked pretty well, except that the guy kept saying things to the effect of "get away from me," "stop chasing me," etc. when he was in the cruiser on the way to jail.

in the future will online come out?

Right now there is no plan to include online since Rockstar will not allow any modifications on its servers.  Until either Rockstar backs down and allows it or someone comes up with a private server, online is not an option.  However should either one happen i'm sure the G17 Media will consider doing/supporting online play with LSPDFR.  I hope this answers your question.

can we ask rockstar for permission

I'm sure you could always ask but I'm also pretty sure the answer will remain no.  If Rockstar made an exception to LSPDFR then every other mod developer(s) would want similar treatment.  Assuming Rockstar gave permission I'm sure they would want to approve everything or place restriction on how its developed and I don't think Sam or the G17 team want anything to do with that.  Rumor has it that someone is developing a way to have a private server or session so they can use mods, I don't have the link but give it some time I'm sure there will be a work-around at some point.  Once that happens I'm sure some consideration will be given to having a multiplayer option to the ones who want it.

Also its probably better that multiplayer isn't an option right now, it will give the developers some time to build a good framework and include many more features along with ironing out the minor issues.  If multiplayer comes into play then everything will slow down because they will have many more issues to work out.  Also just to be clear I am in no way part of the development team just a supporter :)

Thought of an idea, how about a way to document our arrests? Makes it feel more realistic.

Like when we take someone to the station a menu comes up that we choose from a few options or even be able to write it in and then we have a full history of our arrests.

This would be pretty cool, however arbitrary it is, when you take someone to the station a box pops up where you type up what happened/what the suspect did and why you arrested them, and the whole thing could be tracked through lcpdfr.com like LCPDFR stats were recorded online if you enabled it.

Lol, I asked for something similar in LCPDFR and I got told to get a pen and paper!  Anyways I think this would be a awesome addition to anyone who likes to add more "Realism" to the game, for others it a waste of time and sadly most people want action over other things but hopefully someone can do something like this.

I think Rockstar could allow only LSPDFR because this comunity is so famous, the same reason that Rage was only available for LSPDFR...

Actually, the whole RAGE thing has nothing to do with how famous we are (or aren't), but with the fact it was partially made by LMS.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Rage developed by one of the G17Media team members?  <(Answered by SuperStumpje)

Also I thought Rage was developed so LSPDFR could have more flexibility in what they want/need to do?

On a unrelated point, @Sam is it possible to have a interaction with civilians and weapons?  I mean not everyone who carries a gun is a hostile threat, many civilians can carry hunting rifles and pistols even concealed carry for ones who are walking the street.  I'm wondering can we have a more detailed interaction with civilians so even a traffic stop isn't a 30 sec event? (Yes I know you are working hard and there will be more detail and interaction coming :) )  I was just curious if something like the following would be possible to add.  I know in LCPDFR if they had a weapon it was automatic jail because of gun control laws but LS has open stores and carry so not everyone who has a gun would be a criminal.

Example:

Traffic Stop

> Officer has ability to ask if there are any weapons on them or in the vehicle

> Driver says YES > Officer ask for licence/permit > If licence if valid (If no Jail/Fine)> Officer Secures weapon until end of traffic stop.

> Driver says NO > Officer searches person/vehicle > Weapon found > Officer can search using computer if driver has a carry licence/permit > NO > Jail

The carry licence can be tied in with the driver licence information when they hand it over, since normally during a traffic stop the driver will tell the cop right away and hand the licence/driver licence over at the same time.

You must be new here.

The chances of Rockstar ever allowing the use of things like this are basically, none. Rockstar is dependent on their own things for the sake of the online community. The best thing to do is to wait for some kind of SA:MP style server hosting to where you can do your own thing outside of Rockstar's bubble.

I like this idea. for accuracy purposes, it'd probably only work for conceal carry because open carry is not licensed and anyone can do it (in most states) so when I call names into dispatch, I only find out if they have a conceal carry permit. That said, this is a fictional city and I'm sure few would oppose having all both open and conceal permits.

Correct, I misspoke when I said about open carry, although like you said some states have open carry like Texas for example.  I meant for like hunting rifles that were in the open and visible in a truck bed or hanging in the back of the cab.  Not sure why I said open carry maybe I'm slowly going insane.  But I agree it would only work if you allowed concealed carry with a licence.

It would be great if we could secure that weapon and give it back later at the end of the stop/questioning.    Thinking long term it would be nice if we found a weapon to look up its serial number and see if it may be stolen or unregistered.

You can go in discussion with Rockstar about what kind of mods can be allowed...

e.g. Vehicles,Peds,Legit Script mods

Cause the only mods that I think they're not okay with are mods that can give you money/rp/cars/godmode etc

I honestly don't think that they care about those trainers in single player. Cheating money and reputation in Online is another thing.

Did someone say countdown?

Everything about the first beta release is awesome!

However, I noticed that the despawning of peds and vehicles in LSPDFR is extremely fast (well, to be honest, in the vanilla GTA V, despawning is extremely fast ) but are you guys working on something to prevent police and suspect cars/peds to despawn so quickly?

I know this is due to lack of memory and the game having been designed on last gen but if there was something you guys could do to prevent things to despawn that fast would be great!

Can't wait for future updates but take as much time as needed, no rushes!
