LMS and Sam (mostly Sam) is working 24/7. Literally. I don't think Sam sleeps anymore.

Well, I hope he is working 24/7 because he likes it and enjoys scripting LSPDFR for it really has great potential!

  • A trailer showcasing animations doesn't make for very good viewing, especially not for a first reveal.  Was it a normal cop chase?  No, every entity involved in the pursuit except the player was spaw

That's not a good idea at all, life isn't a game, health won't regen after damage caused by weeks of heavy coding without enough rest =\

Sometimes the addiction is real... laying in bed you'll get a idea of how to defeat a problem... and then boom... forget sleep - I just got over that problem, ON TO THE NEXT!

I understand your addiction Sam :D

Help my channel grow and I can explain to my wife why this addiction to coding is a good thing!

Really, if I was rich, I would pay your overtime and graveyard shifts just for the sake of LSPDFR lol

I am pretty sure that you can enable the holsters/belts/hats by editing the right hashes for each ped.

Not for the multiplayer models.  They simply don't come with holsters.  They would need to be modded in (something which is probably quite far in the future)

The normal cop models have interesting variations though - you can switch them between having their gun holstered and having their holster empty.  LSPDFR does this automatically for each cop it manages, based on whether or not they have their gun out or not.

Sam we do not give you permissions to sleep, you need to work 24/7 on LCPDFR!
( :3 )

What is this sleep you speak of?  It sounds nice :(

You may not sleep until LSPDFR is finished

I finally finished the story :P

Figured I'd check in and see how modding progress was going (beyond the bans I've been hearing about anyways).  Personally I'd probably trade GTA:O functionality for LSPDFR any day, though the simple solution to the bans is probably block the game in the firewall when playing with mods and restore non-modded files when going online.

So far it seems like modding potential is growing quicker than I expected o.O

Sam/LMS

You guys are doing great! this mod is gonna be sick when it comes out!

Sorry, but... How do I do that?

Two questions :

1.) is LMS also known as Caine, the author of ELS ?

2.) While I am aware that the game just came out and there are a whole lot of rocks to uncover for answers to determind the limits, I was wondering if the game offers a much more stable platform to create mods like ElS quicker ? I'm sure that this can't be confirmed until we have more scripts that allows us to go deeper in the rabbit hole. Last night, I was flying the helicopter and I was checking out the beacon lights. I thought to myself, would it be possible to use that beacon prototype, manipulate it to create strobe patterns and a much realistic radiation effect and make a realistic whelen hide-a-way strobes, or to manipulate gta v current light behaviours and create realistic LED reflection behaviours.

1. LMS is LMS and Lt. Caine is Lt. Caine. They're not the same person.

2. No comment on that, but as far as I've seen, the game itself offers a lot more stable platform than, for example, GTA IV.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Well shit. I use Norton360's firewall.

Edit: Never mind, found out how to do it with Norton. :P

Are you not satisfied with the existing lights? Or is it that you just want more control of which lights are on, etc.?

It's probably worth mentioning that the cops put their hands on their gun holster when threatened, usually if the player walks close to a cop. Do you think this animation could be utilized in the future? I think it would be pretty neat just as extra eye candy, before actually drawing your weapon. Just for realism. And the fact that you actually take the gun from your holster now (so to speak) sounds pretty cool
