TheUniT reacted to Sam in We need lspdfr for cyberpunk 2077Watch Dogs was quite quirky in the way that the open world worked. Everything more or less revolved around the player and most of the NPCs were pre-defined to be distrusting or just outright hostile towards you. It was fine for the missions and the storyline of the game, but it made trying to mod the game very difficult. There didn't seem to be a good way to get cops to be friendly towards you, nor was there much control of the wanted system or anything like that. Even if, for example, a criminal NPC in a side-mission fired a gun at you, you would still be 'blamed' for it by the game and the civilians would call the police against you.
That being said, there were massive changes in Watch Dogs 2 where they added a factions system. It was a huge improvement that the player could have a different 'heat' level with each faction and that they would also have their own 'felony' system as it's called in the game. Being able to be 'wanted' by the 580s for infringing on their turf, but still have other entities like the police or other gangs remaining neutral towards you is something that was done quite well.
Where WD2 really shone, though, was that it let the different factions enter into combat with each other and it did this using the same, or almost the same, system as the main wanted system for the player. I believe that the game actually started a new 'felony' on the hostile NPC and let the appropriate faction respond according to its configuration while also following the different 'stages' of the felony system where they'd either be actively chasing or hunting/searching. This meant that you could have the police cruising around the block, spotlights on, searching for a hostile NPC in basically the exact same way that they would for the player. I think there were potentially limits in terms of the number of pursuers and aggressors, probably so that things didn't get too crazy, but even so it might actually be the best implementation of a wanted system that I've seen in a game.
Sadly, the one thing that lets Watch Dogs down from a modding perspective is that they are very different to GTA as far as the scripting is concerned. In GTA, scripts control almost everything in the game. In WD, the scripts are far more mission-centric and rely more heavily on the game engine. In practical terms, this means it is more difficult to do things like spawning, playing animations, controlling NPCs, and so on. Most of the things that you can script in WD relate to the player and not the world, or other cars, or other NPCs like in GTA.
In fact, to fully appreciate WD2 for what it is, these two videos do a great job in explaining how the AI works, and how the open world shines.

TheUniT reacted to Sam in Welcome to the new LCPDFR.comI should note as well that I added a new reaction type on a whim last night, which it's nice to see some people are using liberally already!
We haven't had 'negative' reactions on the community for a little while now, and we won't going forward, but I think it'd be fun to add a couple more positive reactions to play around with instead of just the plain-old 'like'.
One thing I'll do as well is see if we can make some of them more 'special' than others, like the new one possibly awarding more points than just a like, but coming with a time/use limitation in that you'd only be able to use it every so often.
If anyone has any ideas, feel free to reply.

TheUniT reacted to GTAIVCode3 in Welcome to the new LCPDFR.comBeautiful work guys!
This seems like yesterday and it's crazy to think 8 years have flown by in the blink of the eye. Here's a little throwback to 2012...

TheUniT reacted to Sam in Welcome to the new LCPDFR.comSince early this year, we've been working on a project to drastically overhaul and improve our website and community by upgrading it to the latest version of the community software that we use, as well as building an all new look and feel and developing enhanced functionality and features. Despite serving us well over the years, our website had become a little dated and disorganized, and bringing about profound changes is something we've wanted to do for a while.
Today, we're pleased to welcome you to the new LCPDFR.com, the culmination of our work on this project, which not only features a ton of improvements, enhancements and changes across the board in Invision Community 4.5, but also introduces a brand new, custom-built by us theme.
Our new theme, LSPDFR Retina and its sister theme, LSPDFR Dark (Beta), are fresh, content-centric looks fit for a modern website in 2020. We've worked hard to prioritize content across the board with a far greater emphasis on images and our members. Aside from this, our new theme features a far brighter user interface with better contrast and more saturation than before which blends in to a simpler overall style.
Please note that the darker variation of our theme is still in beta, is currently only available to registered members, and there are some elements and colors which are yet to be fully configured.
Additionally, there are a number of other changes to the way in which the community works. @Cyan describes these in full in our LSPDFR on IPS 4.5 Changelog, but here's a summary of the most important changes:
Ignore Lists & Blocking
A new opt-in system designed to give creators additional control over their content. Our enhanced blocking system prevents ignored users from being able to comment on and review both gallery images and files. This feature can be enabled in your Account Settings.
Submission Ratings
Files uploaded by members are now automatically screened according to the member's standing within the community, with certain submissions now eligible for automatic approvals. You can view your own rating in your Creator Settings.
Disable Comments
It's now possible for creators to disable comments when they first upload a new file. Please do note that files with comments turned off may not be featured as prominently throughout the community.
LSPDFR Character Cover Photos
You can now add a cover photo to the profile pages of your LSPDFR Characters, check out an example by @LMS here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/lspdfrsync/character/140-kim-orange/
We think that our new website is a giant leap forward for us, and very much hope that you'll enjoy the new LCPDFR.com as much as we have making and designing it for you.
Of course, we're very open to feedback regarding both the new features on the website and our new design, and welcome you to share your thoughts or comments with us below.
Thanks for reading, and welcome to the new LCPDFR.com!
Sam.

CopPerformArrest(Ped Cop, Ped Suspect, bool ArrestOnGround) if false officer would arrest just like holding E in front of an Ped (detaining).
if true officer would arrest like AI already does for example in pursuits.
void PlayPedRadioAction() for having an Ai to play this Animation.
void PlayOfficerScannerAudio(string audiostring) PlayScannerAudio() always uses the DISPATCH_INTRO files. But sometimes a Unit does the radio traffic.
would be nice if there came a function which would switch to OFFICER_INTRO files

TheUniT reacted to ineseri in FIX THE GAME!So for starters... Which people? There's 2 developers, all focused on RDRFR & LSPDFR. Hardly a team of AAA game developers. Secondly, the fix for LCPDFR was released as a fun thing for LMS to do as a proof of concept. The latest officially supported version was LCPDFR 1.1 and it's supported on GTA IV patch 1070 only. Thirdly, I think most people moved on to LSPDFR when it was released. The numbers speak for it. As for RDRFR, hard to say that no one cares about it since it only just released. Please keep in mind, I say this not to be rude only to state the facts. We've no dedicated support team, only fans kind enough to lend their time and aid.
So, in closing, your only chance of playing LCPDFR (for now) is to downgrade your game version to an earlier version. I think Rockstar still keeps them around.
-
TheUniT reacted to LMS in FIX THE GAME!LCPDFR itself works fine on the latest version of GTA IV, it is the underlying hooks that need fixes. I have released a compatibility patch for the Complete Edition when it was released, but I think R* has updated the game again and broke that. I cannot say when/if I will have another look at GTA IV, but you are more than welcome to have a look at the bad offsets yourself and see what broke.

Hello Community,
I was seeing some LSPDFR Videos from steamers lately and some of them i saw are using callouts that ruin the environment.
Of course we have to understand first what the average user is doing or which mods he is using.
For example: a answer from dispatch if you are accepting a calllout is normally pretty nice but the idea destroys themselves when the callout you are using is telling you 10-4 AND the plugin like GrammarPolice is doing the same. (i don't want to insult anybody its just an unfortunate coincidence )
Another example is when the Suspect is down and the callout ends immediately. that is usually the Time for using the coroner or sending the ems. Instead many plugins just ends here and the LSPDFR is showing you back on duty which is not that what everybody wants.
I'm asking you what is your main thoughts about how a callout should be designed and what functions should be there?
Which things should do the tool plugins and which the callout plugins or maybe its a thing for lspdfr to control?
The Goal is to share some ideas just like here [Standardisation of API Plugin Colors]. To be clear sill everybody can design a plugin freely but some Guidelines that makes everything well planed would make it better.
Topics to discuss:
- double "En Route" answer from dispatch
- "Officers arrive on Scene" - ("is that necessary?", "Shouldn't the Officer report that to dispatch?" )
- Should a Plugin end a callout when the suspect is down? (Or should the Player Decide when to call Code 4)
- ---> Your Question/Discussion here<---
If this is the wrong place for this topic, please move it where it belongs.

TheUniT got a reaction from ziipzaaapM16A4 in [REL] Realism Dispatch Enhanced 3.1.1So since @Hastings left a little story here, I'll do the same now.
So I parked a getaway car for my upcoming heist in an alleyway in Davis, close to Rancho. I casually left the alleyway when an LSSD Granger pulled up. To break the line of sight, I just hid behind a pole so the cops couldn't ID me. I had a warrant, after all. And this is where it got funny.
Across the street, I could see a man punch another, who instantly fell. The sheriffs didn't notice that. The man that didn't get hit then pulled out a gun and finished the guy lying on the ground.
The sheriffs that noticed the gunshots then got out. There was more gunfire in the distance, some of it hit the killer.
Surrounded by gangsters that had killed the killer and more armed people that were coming from behind, the sheriffs didn't stand a chance. One of them got shot and the other was bitten by a dog that was first locked in on a yard but freed by someone who destroyed the fence.
And then there was silence (apart from the dense AI drivers causing major havoc).
A couple of seconds later you could start hearing sirens in the distance. The backup the sheriffs had apparently called has arrived, including NOOSE PIA, more sheriffs and multiple PAP trucks that had come from the bridge leading to the port. After a short shootout - some gang members have been shot and some used the confusion to flee - there was silence again.
The scene had started to clear out, an ambulance arrived to run over treat the downed sheriffs, and some more units including detectives pulled up. I could now carefully leave my hiding place. However, I had to find a new place to stash my getaway vehicle, the area got as hot as the guns that have been fired.

Gebe an, welche Lösungen Du schon probiert hast.
Was soll ich tun?
Installiere Deine Mods neu.
