No I'm not. Look at this from my perspective here. I have no immediate answer as to why the vehicle spawned in the water. Over 4,000 downloads, and only you have reported that it spawned in the water. 

For me to know there is a bug in the spawning I would have to get multiple reports of the same thing or an error code to show me what went wrong. Otherwise what is there to say that this isn't just a freak 1 off occurrence? You've come on to the forum and posted the reports (which I do appreciate) and I have tried to provide an answer to them for you. Hell I even straight up fixed the 2nd issue within 5 minutes and re-released. But I don't even get any appreciation for that you just pick fault with what I said. 

I lose motivation to work on projects like this when people have a negative attitude towards me, and if I lose too much motivation then quite frankly I delete the whole thing and say "fuck this".

 

I'm sorry for my slight rant.

I will look at introducing a catch so that you can dismiss the removal cop and the medic should you need to. But right now I'm tired. I'm going to sleep.

Just to add to what LukeD said; He doesn't have to add any functions, or fix anything. He doesn't really have to do anything with the mod. Callouts+ is, as LCPDFR, developed in his own spare time because he enjoys it. That doesn't mean that he has to fix any of the bugs, he does that because he has a passion for it. Now, constructive critism is always good, but appreciation is never wrong either :P

how about ( searching a entire building for drugs and guns with the assist of some other officers)

                  (a scene to put the whole city on lock down, where as you will have to join the road block and stop and search every car)

                  (assisting another officer on a traffic stop, where the officer thinks the suspect has drugs,so you will go down to help him with the car search)

                  (a domestic call, where a supervisor assist is required, by victim and suspect)

                                     (please can you try make some calls for only highways, which we can respond to for people who like playing as a state trooper)

Dumb question.  How do I set it so hazard lights don't come on when I push J?  This never happened until I installed the new update of Callouts+ this afternoon.

I do not understand why you put things in brackets. That makes no sense lol.

 

Anyway, Searching buildings would require me to map every single building and then map points for spawning inside those buildings. That will take a lot of time time so don't expect me to implement that any time soon, if at all.

A scene to put the whole city on lockdown. No. You're a beat cop not the president's guard. I'm making beat cop stuff not movie drama. But thank you for the suggestion.

People keep asking for the domestic. That's been suggested about a thousand times (read the suggestions list).

 

No I can't make just highway calls. There is no way for me, using the API, to map every single highway and only do highway stuff. There is also no way easily that I can make things only spawn and then stay on the highways. As I said above, you're a beat cop not a state trooper. I appreciate people roleplay different things but it cannot be done in a way you would want.

You are correct it is in the ini. It's set to J by default.

If you wanted to change it you can change the hotkey itself, and you can add a modifier if you like (where it is currently set to "None") if you set both to None you disable the feature by the fact that there is no hotkey to trigger it.

English is not my native language and I thought "could you please" is a polite proposal. Am I wrong with this?

BTW 0.4.1 didn't fix the removal cop crash. I get the very same stack trace.

"Could you please" is a polite proposal.

"Are you kidding me?" is not polite. And in most cases is a phrase used to express disgust or disapproval of an answer. That was my issue.

 

I've fixed it again, (I missed one of the lines off, there were 2 causing this issue)

You wanted me to look at it from your perspective. Now please look at it from my perspective. I was just standing besides a car and I pressed Shift+X. So how is that my fault?

I create mods myself and whenever there's something wrong the people come complaining, I resolve the problem in an objective manner and even though I know from their descriptions that it's most likely an installation error by the user I don't say "it's your fault". That's not professional.

If you need people to lick your feet in order to keep you motivated then I feel sorry for you. Just look at my PTS mod. Over 5.300 people downloaded it but only a handful gave me an appreciation. So what? I create mods because I like creating software and I like to see my ideas become reality. I just let others participate. If they like it, fine. If not I'm still okay with it because I'm having fun with my mods no matter of their popularity.

I never said "it's your fault" I said either you've caused it yourself or the AI derped. I respond to a lot of support requests on the forum and a lot of them are user error rather than bugs. Explain to me how saying "you've done something wrong" is not professional? If you've fucked up I am going to point it out to you so you know what you did wrong. I merely applied the same here, like I said, either you did something wrong or the AI derped out. I was unaware of any underlying issues as statistically the chance it occurred (only for you) was so low I didn't even know it was possible to spawn in the water, and so my only possible answer was to say you may have done something wrong or the AI broke.

 

I find it hugely disrespectful that you've come here now for the sole purpose to bitch about my response. Unlike you, I make mods for the community's enjoyment. I don't play GTA IV at all, I test my code and then that's it. I get my enjoyment out of seeing others happy and having fun using the plugin I made. So getting some appreciation back from the community is my reward if you like, it's how I get paid, because as you know I don't get a single penny for this plugin. Not one. If I got 0 appreciation and nobody liked the plugin I wouldn't release it, I wouldn't have even bothered. But as it stands, I got a lot of positive feedback from users during the time I had the WIP thread out and as a result I released the plugin. The same reason applies as to why I release the plugin with new features, people want to see more of what I can add.

 

If you don't like the way I operate, you know where the door is. I'm not making you use my plugin. You didn't pay to have access to my plugin, and as a result I owe you absolutely no duty of care.

I just downloaded 0.4.2a and my game crashed after the loading screen (the cousins bellics..) When I switched back to 0.4.1a, the game was able to load

 

I highly recommend you complete a couple of missions before using LCPDFR and this plugin. Without any further information like error logs I can't help you.

Unfortunately, I still have some problems with game. Without callouts everything is fine but when I install them there are some problems but it seems that it's all about 1.0c hotfix, because I receive announcements about errors. It's not a message about wrong plugin or sth like that.

What is the connection of LCPDFR and the plugins with the ingame missions? could you tell me how many missions needed?

 

Well, you have to complete the first mission for the game to be open to you. I've never had it crash when starting a new game, though. Save files also bake-in a lot of things, and any time you change files, you should delete your saves and settings.

This is the first I'm hearing of this (unless you're referring to a "clean install").

Can you give proof (or a topic where it was suggested by someone) as to when deleting save files & (video) settings have given lesser crashes/bugs?

 

I've never deleted save files & my game is still very good, hardly crashing in 1-2 hrs (usually that's my max per game playtime) even with LCPD:FR 1.0, indicator mod, .spotlight, firepatrol, PS, SNT, ELS, EVCS, DLM, & lessovertake mods (& even with Low PC Graphics mods).

I always thought people had 1% Game Completion save files because they were too lazy to complete the game (yet again) after a clean install.

I saw it myself when I was trying to edit ped relationships to make gang members fight. I'd revert back to earlier settings when they didn't, but when I'd load the game back up, they still would. Deleting my save file got it back to normal.

 

There was also a graphics tweak I used on my old system where the creator said to delete saves and settings because some of those were kept in save files, too.
