Adding Cars
It worked. Thank you so much! I would not have been able to figure it out without your help! All of the files I've downloaded all say "just replace your latest patchday with these files and you're good to go," but I'm still back on GTA IV and how simple (at least, compared to V...) it was. Thank you again.

Adding Cars
I think where I'm lost is when the whole "patch day" thing comes into it. By files of the car, I mean yft, ytd, etc. When it comes to police2, police3, sheriff, etc., that's where I'm having trouble.

Adding Cars
Thanks for the very detailed explanation! I thought I understood but apparently I did something wrong. A couple clarifications: 1) Am I supposed to keep the police3hi+.ytd even if the car I downloaded doesn't have one that came with it? 2) Where am I supposed to put the files of the car I downloaded? In the "mods" folder or elsewhere?

Adding Cars
Greetings- I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong spot. I am having issues when it comes to adding other police cars to the game. I have managed to add cars in both the police and fbi slots, but when I try to put cars in police2 or police3, I do it the exact same way as I did the police and fbi cars and when I go to play the game, they are not there, just the original cars in the respective spots. Has anybody else encountered this issue? What is the way around this? Thanks!

LSPDFR Feature Preview
Wouldn't it be something if they did something like what Netflix did with Orange is the New Black and release it a little early?

Ill-Gotten Gains Update and Modding
So if I backed up the directory, and then started the game (and it inevitably updates), will putting the backed up directory back in there constitute putting it back to it's pre-update state?

Ill-Gotten Gains Update and Modding
Now, this is just showing my ignorance but when Sam said he "recommends that you make a backup of your game files and avoid updating to the latest version" does he just mean to backup the GTA V directory? Also, how do you prevent Steam from updating?

Download Section Frustration
Let me start off by saying that I love the new site...but with one exception. A part of the download section. On the old site, there was a tab specific for LCPDFR API downloads. That made it very easy to go and see a particular file has been updated (among other things). With the new site, API downloads are grouped together with ALL script and data file modifications and so it's more difficult to just filter for the API downloads. Is this something that's easy to change? Thanks!

Emergency Lighting System IV
I had that problem on my last computer. IDK why it happened. Never got it figured out. That problem didn't exist anymore though when I got a new system. Maybe your system can't handle it all?

GFWL & Loading Issues

GFWL & Loading Issues
I am having issues left and right today. I noticed I had both dsound.dll xlive.dll in the folder. Don't know how that happened but it was there. The game and LCPDFR were loading fine. Thought to take out one or the other. Since (I believe) ELS requires dsound.dll to be there, I decided to remove xlive.dll. Well that was apparently not the right choice. The game wouldn't even get past the loading screen. So I think, 'Well, I'll just xlive.dll back and pretend none of this ever happened.' Nope. Now, (obviously) I have to sign into GFWL. Fine. After messing around for 10 minutes with a forgotten password, I get it signed in. Game starts to load. Great! Then after the loading screen fades to black, it says at the bottom "Starting a New Game..." -__- Before this mess happened, I had completed all of the story missions but hardly any of the other things to get it to 100% completion. I just want it to work. Now, I'm thinking, 'I'll just outsmart the game and go to the menu and select "Load..." GTAIV says there are no savegames on the hard drive. Well, I disagree. I open up Documents...Rockstar Games....GTA IV...savegames and voila, my save games are there. Anybody have any sort of an idea on how to fix this? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Most callouts crash game
First things first. Running LCPDFR 1.1 on GTAIV. Only extra mod installed is ELS 8.5. I believe all of the needed files are attached. Most of the callouts crash the game, every time, without fail. The add-ons I have are Backup Callout 1.20, The Wasteland 0.9.0, WoutersCallouts 1.1, and Callouts+ 0.7.3. The crash will happen upon arrival to the area. Backup Callout rarely crashes the game. Callouts+ occasionally crashes the game with the Murder call and more often crashes the game with the Suspicious Person call. Wouters Callout crashes the game every time with the Fuel Theft, Robbery in Progress, Cardiac Arrest. The Wasteland is pretty stable, the callouts associated with it will crash the game here and there, but nothing like "If I take this callout, the game WILL crash upon arrival. However, what I've found to be the worst culprit are the callouts associated with LCPDFR itself. For instance, "Reports of Shots Fired," "Drug Deal," "Armed Robbery," (and I'm sure there are others but I can't find a list of LCPDFR callouts) will, every time, like clockwork crash the game. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

In-Game Music
Awesome. It works. Thanks!

In-Game Music
I apologize in advance if this is not in the correct section but I thought this was the best place to post it it since it's not really "support." Anyway, is there any way to get the in-game music? Not talking about the radio songs so much as I am the bumpers when you complete a mission for example. Also, I've already purchased the album with the main themes so I'm not talking about that either. Thanks for any help.

(Ped. And veh. Request) Clackamas county sheriff. (Oregon)
I don't know how possible it is to integrate this too, but an ELS lightbar configuration such as that featured in this video would be really cool, too!

ELS 8 Confusion
I think I've managed to figure out how to get everything to work.

ELS 8 Confusion
My apologies if this is not posted in the correct section. So now that I've got it installed, I'm having issues when I try to enter an ELS-enabled vehicle. I'm guessing it's because the vehicle is V7 compatible and not V8 and, therefore, needs to be converted...that's where I'm having problems. I'm not too clear on how to make them compatible from V7 to V8. The "conversion guide" included with the download is not helpful for me. It says "Must be converted to new format: X, Y, Z" but that means nothing to me. Any help would be appreciated.

EFLC Installation
It's alright...I was sort of expecting to have to do it all over again. It's just so annoying when it takes 12+ hours to do. Oh well, it's done and it installed with no problems this time - thanks for the suggestion!

EFLC Installation
The game does not get past the load screen. No, I have not tried re-downloading it. That's what it looks like I'm going to have to do.

EFLC Installation
To make a long story short, yesterday, I uninstalled EFLC and re-downloaded it overnight and finally just got to re-installing it. During installation, I got this message: CRC error: The file F:Program FilesRockstar GamesGTAEFLCEFLCpcaudiosfxspeech.rpf doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor. With options to: Abort----Retry----Ignore I clicked "Retry" for two times before I clicked "Ignore." After everything else was said and done, I get the message saying it's been successfully installed. 1) What does that mean? 2) What do I need to do to fix it? I purchased the game on Amazon and downloaded it through them. Thank you in advance for your help.
