would that be added as a weapon? like on the weapon wheel or do you think just a key binding to pull it out??

I think a key binding would be appropriate for the flashlight, but it's their choice whatever they wanna do with it, and if they even plan on doing it.

  • A trailer showcasing animations doesn't make for very good viewing, especially not for a first reveal.  Was it a normal cop chase?  No, every entity involved in the pursuit except the player was spaw

Hey Sam - are you guys going to be using the same plugin system for the callouts as with LCPDFR (because I'm def' gonna be on scene making callouts for V) - or changing up the method... or... I am just getting way ahead of everything at this point?  Was just wondering :|

Help my channel grow and I can explain to my wife why this addiction to coding is a good thing!

Not sure, too early to tell.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

There's 8 new screenshots on the forum index!

Now cue some guy talking about how the pictures are fake and he can just make them all with a trainer or something

He's being arrested :)

Did you crack the code on the arrest animations or make your own? Did Rockstar have it in the game all along and just change it to having suspects getting shot on sight? Because if they are in the game it would be nice if that could be used such that the player when playing LSPDFR engages in an arrest, the game's native animation is triggered instead of the buggy scripted handcuff thing from LCPDFR with the coronas at the car doors that always bugged if something was inevitably in the way.

Great work though!

I love that you guys are using the "online" heads for the females. It sounds weird, but the normal female heads are ugly af. Are you guys going to do the same for males?

I see you guys found an arresting animation too. Can't wait to see what you guys have in store!

Not entirely true, we're (at the moment) using the normal single player models for both male and female cops as far as backup units, etc. are concerned.  I was tempted (and still am) to use the multiplayer models for the LSPD entirely, but they don't have holsters on their belts and their uniforms lack detail compared to the normal ones.  This may or may not be something that comes as an optional extra at some point.

I still have big plans somewhat related to this, though.

The models from online deathmatch thing (with the cops and crim theme) don't have belts or holsters, but the models from the heists do. They have all the equipment. So that being said, what heads are you using? They definitely aren't the default ones.

Player controlled spotlights??? I hope so!

If you look at the minimap, it looks like the player is in the front patrol car (just entering the intersection), which would make the spotlight an AI-controlled one.

That gave me an idea, imagine if when you select your officer you can use the GTA:O character maker to create your officer

Great job on those arrests! Even evil R* can't stop Sam from arresting people. Seriously, this is a great step forward, thanks to the team!

Will those arrests work outside the mod, btw? (like LSPDFR installed and on, but I'm still going to the station to get on duty)

And another question, if that's all right: Pic5 shows 7 Noose guys in a Granger. Is that a backup unit? Are they gonna respond fully staffed now, not like in the vanilla game, when there were only 3 guys per vehicle?

And how do you feel  about enabling Police Riots to actually respond along with other vehicles? Nothing's like a huge Noose van pulling to a perps' location and wasting them all up.

I've gotten Riots to respond in SP. It was in the county, at 5 stars, and rare, but they responded.

Nice touch, R*, an LSPD-marked vehicle responds in the county area! :D

Maybe they were forming a roadblock nearby and officers just used them to chase you? I've never seen a responding Riot, but things may be different in PC version...

Are we gonna have handcuffed arrests or just the kind of arrest pictured? It would be odd to escort a suspect to a car without them being cuffed, but if that's the way you got it to work, it's still pretty good.

Ah'm orderin' you to STAHP!

He's being arrested :)

Amazing! I have an idea for frisking too- in the Underbelly Of Paradise tv show, there's guys with their hands against the wall being frisked. It would be cool if we could do that!!
