cp702's post in ELS-Added Vehicle Support was marked as the answerELS works on added vehicle slots emerg1-emerg7. It doesn't work on other added vehicle slots (besides police3, police4, policeb, and maybe a few other cars that are in TBOGT, and thus aren't exactly "added" vehicles in GTA IV).

cp702's post in What directory do I need to put ELS in to get it to work with TBoGT? (A few questions) was marked as the answerELS goes in the EFLC folder.

cp702's post in AdvancedHook.dll problem was marked as the answerWhile that was likely the case with this topic (it does indeed use the old AH), it is no longer the case with 1.0c that you should use the ELS AdvancedHook. 1.0b came with AH 0.29, which did *not* support ELS; ELS support was added with AH 0.33 (which was the version packaged in ELS 8's download), but LCPDFR 1.0c requires (and contains) AdvancedHook 0.34 (the version packaged with LCPDFR 1.0c). If you have LCPDFR 1.0c, or any version in the future, use the copy of AdvancedHook that comes with your copy of LCPDFR.

cp702's post in ELS v8 on windows XP was marked as the answerThe function it's attempting to call was added in Vista. ELS is trying to make a system call which simply doesn't exist in XP. If it required compiling the mod on XP to fix, you'd be *completely* out of luck; it's objectively unreasonable to expect Caine to get Windows XP just to compile his mod to support it. But it's slightly different: The API function ELS uses isn't there. There's a dependency to a function in the Windows API DLL that isn't in the DLL. The only fix would be to replace the function; this might be possible, but Caine may have chosen GetTickCount64 for a good reason.
Now, this call could potentially be replaced if ELS detects it's running on XP. Caine might be willing to do that. Alternatively, if this is being used to handle light flash ticks, it's possible that GetSystemTimeAsFileTime might work as well (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms724397(v=vs.85).aspx ). However, if this doesn't work, then it's likely that the mod wasn't actually tested much on XP, so there may be other bugs. Advice: Drop XP now. It's past end-of-life, with no more security patches, no bugfixes, nothing. It should be presumed to be insecure. It was first released 13 years ago. Running it on your computer is a serious security risk; if you're willing to put up with a serious security risk to play GTA with full graphics, then get a newer computer that can do so with an operating system that still gets patched. But you should not be using XP. Period.

cp702's post in GTA 4 Crash was marked as the answerLCPDFR and ELS v8 both come with a file called "AdvancedHook.dll". You need to use the version that came with ELS, *not* the one that came with LCPDFR - the LCPDFR one is slightly older, and doesn't have the features the ELS one needs (this will change with future versions of LCPDFR, but for 1.0b, the ELS AdvancedHook replaces the LCPDFR one). So, just go to your ELS v8 download, drag "AdvancedHook.dll" into your main directory, and that should stop this crash.
About 0.91 - That version is frankly ancient, and there have been *2* newer versions - 0.95 and 1.0. With 0.95, we initially said "it's not stable, so use 0.91 if you want support", but eventually dropped support on 0.91 entirely. LCPDFR 0.91 should not be assumed to work with any LCPDFR-related mods developed since 2012 or so - they're all designed to work more with LCPDFR 0.95 or 1.0.

cp702's post in Does Aim+T still discharge a taser in RC2? was marked as the answerNope. The Taser is now much more realistic; instead of hitting T from your pistol, you hit Alt+T to draw the Taser (which is actually a model ingame, which is what installing the Taser file adds - it replaces the nailgun with a Taser). When you draw the taser, you then use it like any other gun; it causes the suspect to go down in convulsions.

cp702's post in Question about SMPA60 (Yes, I read the explanation it's a different question) was marked as the answerThis is an issue I've been having as well. In EFLC, there is only one safehouse, and my cars there are unmodded. And yet, I get SMPA60 errors when just driving around - they don't seem to be location-based, though.
BTW, this belongs in GTA IV support, so I'm moving it there.
