About

 

  • Bait Car is a plugin that allows you to catch car thieves in the act. Select a vehicle model, wait for it to arrive, park it somewhere, hide down the street, and wait for the car thieves to come in. Once someone steals the vehicle, follow them and the on screen prompts to proceed.
  • Vehicle models, Ped models, Weapons used in scenarios, wait times, keybinds, etc. are fully customizable in the configuration file.
  • Vehicles can be re-used multiple times.
  • Multiple suspects can now take the bait car!

 

 

Currently Supports

RAGE Plugin Hook 1.89 & 1.90 (Latest)
LSPDFR 0.4.9 (Build 8037+ required for new API functions. Older versions will work, but will crash the plugin when you call for backup)

 

 

Installation

  1. Extract the included zipped folder to any location (ex. your desktop)
  2. Drag all files from the "Grand Theft Auto V" folder included with this plugin into your main Grand Theft Auto V game folder.
  3. If asked to replace any files, select replace.
  4. Once all files have been copied, start up your game, and go on duty with LSPDFR to load the plugin.
  5. Installation is complete

  2. Please ALWAYS include your RagePluginHook.log file from your main directory (the text document) with any support request

  • Built for Rage Plugin Hook v1.90/LSPDFR v0.4.9 (0.4.8037.37597, Latest)
  • Fixed detection issues when player parked the bait car (green circle not showing up)
  • Fixed crash on plugin load when there is an invalid keybind in the configuration file
  • Fixed suspects going to same offset from vehicle, bumping into each other
  • Added link to list of possible keybinds to configuration file
  • Fixed CompuLite crash
  • Fixed rare occurrence where suspects could not be pulled out at gunpoint (felony stop)

This week on Bait Car - Trevor attempts to steal a stanier, police attempt to apprehend said suspect. Trevor slaps an officers behind and attempts to steal that officers police car.

    Haven't played the mod yet, but looking at the .ini file I see

    then a little further down...

    The first one is in the [Keys] section, the second one is in the [Controller] section. I'll make it clearer in the next release that the second section is for the controller.

    Very excited to try this and the new Ragehook update! If the Author reads this: I posted a Review asking a Q instead of here, litterally my first post on a mod so didn't notice. xD Anyways the download was successful. Playing now and trying it out!

    Doesn't work for me. The cursor keeps getting dragged to the center of the screen. But I don't think it's only related to this mod, because I get this issue with PoliceToolbox as well. Any idea?

    That's odd, and what makes it even more odd is that I can't replicate it, and none of my testers encountered it. The log doesn't have any information as far as I can see. I don't think this will do anything, but just to be sure, can you try installing the latest version of the RAGE Hook? It'll crash any plugins that use animations, so things like police radio will crash, but you can downgrade afterwards.

    Fantastic mod.  This is way more polished than what was released for LCPDFR; I truly love it!

    My only crash was after suspected was arrested and placed into vehicle by AI cops I hit "end" and it immediately crashed lspdfr.

    ForceCleanup is only for if the plugin glitches out. You don't need to use it after every bait car :)

    Is the car supposed to automatically reset after the arrest?  I've had a few incidents where the arrest takes place but the bait car sits there.  I can't drive it away, and if I drive away in my patrol car it does not disappear.

    So glad this modification came out! I'm really sad because new RPH crashes GTAV. I'm also cursed with the Crash-On-Shift. I re-downloaded the whole game and I still get the error. It's very, very, very frustrating. :/
