HOLLISTUPID got a reaction from Normann in What are your thoughts on the very first version of LSPDFR? What would you like to see in the future?I have a couple suggestions that may or may not be possible with the game/Ragehook, but I'm going all out as I'd love to see this in any form of game:
-Add the LSPD helicopter for air patrols and have dedicated callouts for that role (Roofchecks, providing assistance for perimeter, pursuit overwatch, etc. basically like what the LAPD's air support division assist with) along with helicoper spotlight control.
-Remove Hydra from the vehicle selection screen, this looks like it would be fun for testers and whatnot but I think it would be more appropriate if it had to be spawned in via a trainer and not a "feature" of LSPDFR. Unless of course military callouts were to be later added.
-Add penalties for breaking the law, feels alot like LCPDFR being able to go full terminator on everyone as police. Penalties such as traffic infractions when not traveling code, using emergency lights when not responding to a call. I think this might be a more extensive feature that seems complicated but I hope Ragehook can one day make this happen. Penalties could be deduction of money or demotion from LSPD and being marked as a rogue cop if the player goes terminator. This would add great realism to the mod and give actual consequences that I believe will add greatly to the immersion factor.
-Obviously license plate checks/license checking. Like in LCPDFR 1.0 I'd like to see this come back again during traffic stops or on foot, with it being tied in to warrants along with a suspect's likeliness of fleeing.
-Submission to arrests, I think in V it is way too easy to beat someone to death. Perhaps making it much more difficult (if not impossible) to beat someone to death in two blows will make a gateway to a more complex arrest system.
-Obvious issue with the population/traffic going crazy when you point a gun or use force. It would be great if it was possible to tone this down, as whenever I point a gun at a suspect traffic always ends up running into me and my car (GTAV taking over). Maybe having people pull out their phones and recording would be a more realistic route.
-Foot pursuits, having certain pedestrians with warrants run when they see you/being able to jump over walls to evade capture would be exhilarating
-Bringing back the "search circle" from LCPDFR. In 1.0 having the circle in which the pursuit suspect was last seen was a great inclusion and I would like to see this again (with the LSPD helicopters broadening the circle in searching)
-BOLO suspects and vehicles, a pursuit suspect can be called into dispatch and will remain an active BOLO suspect until shift ends. The BOLO suspect and or vehicle remain a constant and have a chance of spawning near or around the player (very low percentage).
-MWS/MDT information on suspects, active calls.
-Inclusion of more finetuned backup callouts; you may provide real assistance to officers already on an existing callout such as breaking up fights and ongoing foot pursuits.

HOLLISTUPID reacted to Iconography in Donations Page & G17 Media Shirt StoreDonations
After the release of LSPDFR (and even before it), we have been getting a lot of questions about donations, and how users can donate to the site. For anyone who wishes to donate to our site, you may do so on this page. We will never beg for donations, but we also want to ensure that anyone who wants to contribute to this site may do so. Anything you donate will go straight toward helping this site - either by contributing to our hosting payments, our forum suite license fees, or any miscellaneous fees associated with site or LSPDFR development. On behalf of everyone at G17 Media, I would like to thank all of those who have contributed in the past, and all those who contribute in the future.
G17 Media Shirt Store
We have also been asked many, many times over the past few years if we'd ever consider selling LCPDFR/LSPDFR t-shirts, and we never had a clear answer to provide. Now, however, I am happy to announce that we have created a store with a variety of LCPDFR and LSPDFR themed shirts. With much appreciated help from @MichaelV, we have several high quality designs to choose from. A small portion of each shirt's price is paid to us as a commission (roughly 15%), so this is a bit of a win-win - you can get a shirt you enjoy wearing, while also donating to the site at the same time. The main point behind the store is to offer our fans products they'll enjoy - we aren't using it to make lots of money. We encourage everyone to take advantage of our provider's generous return policy if there is ever an issue with your purchase. Please also use this thread to let us know what you do and don't like (shop layout, products, prices, or anything else). Our store provider offers very nice international shipping rates as well, so this store is not restricted to just our members in the US! You can also filter by category (LCPDFR, LSPDFR, and Mugs), along with shirts for men or women.
Our shirt store can be found here.

HOLLISTUPID reacted to Synthacrat in GTA V Spotlight ModSo there was a police helicopter spotlight mod released at www.gta5-mods.com as some of yall may know. Now with LSPDFR on the brink of release, all of us would like some of that eye-candy and with that being said, I mean a spotlight script to shine the light of justice in those dark crime ridden corners of Los Santos/Blaine County/San Andreas County! Now for all we know, LSPDFR might come with a spotlight script but just in case, is their a WIP?

HOLLISTUPID reacted to Original Light in How to Increase PerformanceHi everyone,
The last day or so I haven't been playing the game's story line as most of you are (I've already played through it a few times on the old versions), instead I've devoted my time to observing the game's graphic options and characteristics. In general, seeing what I can do to squeeze the best graphics out of it with the best FPS possible. After doing countless reboots and benchmark testing, I've found a few helpful things.
Not all of us are able to afford expensive computers, but that doesn't mean you can't enable higher quality graphics.
As of now, I am able to run the game on Ultra (1080 resolution) with 40 fps average, sometimes higher. Though on the advanced graphics menu, I have all enabled except the extended distance/shadow sliders all the way down.
My hardware:
Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.2 Ghz
EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked (2 GB)
12 GB of RAM.
I consider my rig at least mid grade or entry level high end.
All in all, I've found several ways to increase performance:
Run in Borderless Window mode. This allows you to turn off VSync, and you also won't have any screen tearing. Easy FPS boost. On the Population Variety Slider, feel free to move it down. This is a very VRAM hungry option. I believe it has to do with the amount of extras on Peds, such as backpacks or items in general, or the variety of vehicles on the street. If I'm wrong please correct me. I moved it down and noticed little to no difference. Use your sacred VRAM on something more useful! Additionally, if anyone is experiencing random performance drops (such as the game locking up, super low 1-5 fps out of the norm) this is likely caused because of overloading. Decrease this to ease your VRAM. I personally suffered from this and decreased the slider to the near bottom (2 notches) and no longer experienced this. NVIDIA cards - Use FXAA instead of MSAA. While it may not look as good, it has nearly no performance cost and I can't really see any difference. Additionally, enable it through your control panel rather than in-game for more FXAA options (different levels mostly), while in game you only have one option, which I assume is 16x. AMD cards should also use their equivalent if they want to increase performance.
NVIDIA cards - Go to the NVIDIA control panel. Enable Threaded Optimization, set Maximum pre-rendered frames to 3, and under power management mode, select Prefer maximum performance. Additional note: You may select "Ignore Suggested Limits" to On in the in-game graphic settings menu. This allows you to exceed your VRAM limit. I'm personally around 800 MB over my limit and suffer no issues in regards to performance. For those of you who want the most out of this game graphically, I suggest you do the same. If you prefer to have VSync for any reason, don't enable it in game. Instead, do it through you graphic card's control panel. Along with this, enable Triple Buffering. This helps increase performance while VSync is enabled. Overclocking:
Note: Overclock at your own risk. I am NOT responsible for any damage caused to your card. You have been warned!
Download the program for your respective card. For us NVIDIA users, I recommend EVGA Precision X.
I was able to increase GPU CLOCK OFFSET by 42 MHz, and MEM CLOCK OFFSET by 115 MHz. I have not gone any higher, nor do I plan to as I found the sweet spot for my card. Pushing your card too far may cause overheating, instability, game crashes, and possible damage. You may also increase the fan curve and voltage. Don't mess with voltage unless you know what you're doing.
I hope this helps many of you and you can enjoy this amazing game to its highest potential. Also, a special thanks to Murphy and Sniper296 for aiding my research.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reply,
Nick

HOLLISTUPID reacted to l3ubba in POLICE EXAMWhat exactly is the point of this thread? I feel like you are just trying to get attention. Do you seriously think that anyone one this forum has the ability to grant you a pardon or start a petition that will get you hired? I'm pretty sure you already started a thread about this several months ago asking if you could be hired as a police officer with a felony and everyone told you no. What is the purpose of starting this all over again? This just looks like an grab for attention or trolling.

HOLLISTUPID got a reaction from MasterCop7 in Investigative Mode? MVA? Helicopter Mode?I really like the idea of more emphasis on Air Support role. With the spotlight being controllable and it only gives you callouts AI are able to complete. Detective and FBI roles might be more complicated.
-
HOLLISTUPID reacted to MasterCop7 in Investigative Mode? MVA? Helicopter Mode?So I was wondering, what if you could be a detective or FBI and investigate murder scenes or something like that? Or would that be too much or not desirable enough to be added?
Another small suggestion, MVAs, vehicle accidents. Why aren't those implemented by now? Is it too hard to spawn cars and maybe freeze them, or would that be too much of a FDLC job or too boring and drawn out with the reports?
And finally, I know it's already possible, but I think there should be a Helicopter Mode of some sort. By this, I mean, where you can fly and patrol that way instead of in a car or boat. I have tried this before in a pursuit when they were in a different borough as me and the spotlight turned on if I was close enough, so it's kind of already working, but role playing as Air Support would be pretty cool for me.
What do you guys say?
