  1. My birthday present to you is that I installed a couple of your non-ELS vehicles to try to make my game more stable. Happy birthday!
  2. Well they did have a fire to put out, so at least the saying "where's the fire?!" doesn't work here.
  3. You can try this: DisableRandomPoliceChatter=True in the [Main] section of the LCPDFR ini.
  4. Will posted a gallery image in GTA IV Galleries
  5. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Development Suggestions & Requests. The LCPDFR Suggestions forum is for suggestions regarding the LCPDFR modification only.
  6. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Development Tutorials & Questions. Please read the Showroom Style Forums announcement and the pinned >About this section topic before posting in the showroom forums.
  7. _SLOTCONTROL.ini in the ELS folder controls what vehicles have ELS enabled on them.
  8. A Notary Public is someone who observes you signing a document, and verifies that it is actually you signing it (among other things, but this is why you would need one in this case). You must show them ID and they will stamp the document you are signing. I went to my bank when I needed a notary, so check there. Edit: DO NOT sign it if you need a notary. They must watch you sign.
  9. Unfortunately, Tusken Raiders captured Tom while he was picking vaporator mushrooms. (Star Wars reference for whoever doesn't get it)
  10. Since you were stopped and the truck looked to be off, ETS was making it very hard to turn the steering wheel because there would be no power steering in the truck. It was giving as much resistance as possible, causing it to make those sounds. If it does it while you're driving then turn down the force feedback settings, specifically the one for the engine since that causes a lot of feedback (assuming they haven't changed the settings in recent updates, I haven't checked), and isn't realistic in my opinion.
  11. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests since this isn't regarding the LCPDFR modification itself, which is what the LCPDFR Support forum is for. I'm guessing it's the same error as this? '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Try the solution posted there and post back here if you still have problems.
  12. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support requests since this is not regarding the LCPDFR modification itself, which is what the LCPDFR Support forum is for.
  13. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests. The LCPDFR Support section is for support regarding the LCPDFR modification itself. Are you trying to play multiplayer? ELS will act differently in MP than is does in singleplayer.
  14. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests. Vehicle Modifications is a showroom style forum dedicated to showing off WIP or released vehicle modifications. Please read the Showroom Style Forums Announcement or the pinned >About This Section topic before posting in the showroom forums .
  15. I don't think they like the new section :(
  16. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests. The LCPDFR Support section is for support regarding the LCPDFR modification itself. I'm not sure what you're talking about...modded cars shouldn't be making scraping sounds.
  17. Completely uninstall any existing version of ELS; Place the ELS.asi, the ELS folder, and the AdvancedHook.dll into your main GTAIV game directory (this is the same folder that houses the gtaiv.exe file); unless you already possess the following files and they are more recent than the ones provided, place the dsound.dll and ScriptHook.dll files into your main GTAIV game directory; if you do not already have any, download and install pro-ELS vehicle models to use with ELS; (update any existing vehicle configurations files you may have to the latest ELS version standard, as older VCFs may be incompatible with new ELS versions); open, configure the ELS.ini file and the ELS vehicle configuration file(s) from the ELS folder to suit your needs, save them; and, launch your game. This is directly from the ELS User Guide. Read that for everything you will ever to need to know about ELS.
  18. Not only is this the wrong section, .95 is no longer supported. Update to 1.0c; if you still have problems post in the correct section linked below. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff as it has been posted in the wrong forum section. This forum is not for LCPDFR support requests. Please post your topic in the LCPDFR Support Forum instead, following the clearly presented instructions there. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  19. The memory full error will always happen when you close the game with LCPDFR installed. This is because of the way the taser is installed. You can fix this by manually installing the taser, there is a tutorial in the knowledge base section for LCPDFR. It isn't really a problem though, just a crash when you close the game. Logs will be generated every time you play the game, you don't need to run the diagnostic tool for them. They are located in the root GTA folder and are either .log or .txt.
  20. True. The person below me likes to play simulator games like Train Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator.
  21. Pressing J once will turn on all of the lights except the secondaries. You can then press K to turn them on and off. Pressing J again will turn all of the lights off.
  22. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Discussion & Media. The General & Miscellaneous section is for all forms of miscellaneous discussion not catered for by any subject-specific forum.
  23. When a vehicle comes with a VCF, you need to change _SLOTCONTROL.ini so ELS knows about it. Say a vehicle that is replacing the "police" model comes with a VCF called "CVPI.ini". You place CVPI.ini in the ELS folder, then open _SLOTCONTROL.ini and under [ POLICE ] change "File = default_config" to "File = CVPI". Also make sure Status = on. It should look like this: [ POLICE ] Status = on File = CVPI To have it so you go straight to stage 3 with one press, you need to change "LstgActivationType" to "Jump" in the VCF for the vehicle: LstgActivationType = Jump To stop the ambulance, either change the keybind for calling an ambulance in LCPDFR.ini or change the keybind for the menu in ELS.ini. Everything you ever need to know about ELS is included in the ELS User Guide. It will be extremely helpful.
  24. ^ Which is a type of mission in the default game, mods will make default missions crash if you try to do them.
