  1. It enables flashing coronas for the different lights on the car. There are 6 modes, 0-5. I don't know what each pattern is so you'll have to find out by trying them in game.
  2. I think the ini line only limits the amount of backup that automatically responds, but police that are just patrolling will still join in. I think I remember seeing a mod that reduces the amount of police patrolling Liberty City, I'll see if I can find it again. You can go on duty without going to the station by starting LCPDFR with Alt-P, then pressing ~ and typing forceduty. Edit: Here is that mod: http://gtaforums.com/topic/403696-relivless-cops-around-liberty-city/

  4. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Discussion & Media as this isn't a support request for LCPDFR. DROT is a mode where the primary lights will rotate in a similar way as the default GTA IV lights. It only uses one of the extras, so it also leaves room for other normal ELS-style lights on the vehicle. It looks really nice in my opinion. Here is an example of a DROT enabled car by Bxbugs123: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

  8. The mod should still work. The diagnostic tool failed to find the valid installation because the registry files are probably missing, I'm guessing that has something to do with Steam, but not sure.
  9. I don't know much about PSU's but this one seems like a good deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264 The 10% off promo will bring it below $100 if the code (RMNEXSAVE10) works. Of course, you'll want to make sure it will work with your computer's setup (size, required connectors, etc).
  10. When you have the skin open, right click then click "Save image as..." to download it.
  11. That's the best card you can get from Nvidia with a 300 watt power supply. Anything better will require a PSU upgrade.
  12. It will always set back to being partially read only (some files are read only and some are not) because of being in Program Files. I'm going to steal this from one of LMS's posts:
  13. The User Guide for ELS v7 says that the siren functionality is altered in multiplayer, but it doesn't say how. I'm guessing it will be the same as ELS v8. I believe you will be able to use the ELS v6 siren in multiplayer the same as in singleplayer, but traffic will not respond to it. I'm not sure how the ELS v6 siren works because I never used it (because it didn't move traffic).
  14. From the ELS User Guide. It shows DF where the siren modes would normally be because you cannot use the ELS siren modes in multiplayer. It uses the normal GTA IV siren.
  15. Your thread has been moved to GTA IV Support Requests. Please read the Showroom Style Forums announcement and the pinned >"About this section" topic before posting in the showroom forums. ELS 8 will act differently in multiplayer. How it works is all outlined in the ELS user guide.
  16. Then why post? This topic is over a year old (nearly two years if you go back to the OP). I'll give you a solution though: try removing all, or at least some, of your mods. Install them one by one to find out what may be causing the problem. If you still have issues create your own topic. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  17. Known issue that should be fixed in the next version. You can also look up a few posts above yours to see this.
  18. Since you are asking for help, not showcasing this mod, I'm moving this to GTA IV Development Tutorials & Questions. Please read the Showroom Style Forums announcement before posting in the showroom forums, as well as the pinned >"About this section" topic.
  19. Because Miku is depicted as female...the same way you would refer to a female video game character or a female cartoon character as "she" and "her."
  20. I don't understand the excitement of seeing her live in the beginning of the second video...it's no different from watching her on the internet. Either way it's just a video.
  21. There is no need for the all caps. It's fine to suggest that someone get into modding because they might like it, but you come off as very aggressive in this post, especially with the caps. Please do not tell other members what they can and cannot do. Leave the moderating to the staff team.

  24. You can't simply put a bunch of car models in a .rar and upload it if you didn't edit the models yourself in anyway.
