  1. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Development Tutorials & Questions. LCPDFR Development is for discussion about creating API plugins for LCPDFR.
  2. You mean the traffic moves out of the way with only the lights on? You need to open ELS.ini and find and set this: Lstg3LightsMoveTraf = on
  3. Search %appdata% in the start menu (assuming you're on Windows 7). Pressing enter will bring you to the Roaming folder, so click on AppData in the directory bar, then open local and go from there.
  4. Make sure you have all of the dependencies installed (listed below). Also make sure you only install the x86 version of each, and uninstall any x64 versions. You can do this by opening the control panel, going to Uninstall a program and finding the following programs in there. If you find one of these with an x64 in it, uninstall it. Install all of these: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 Edit: LMS has informed me it is no longer necessary to remove x64 versions, so ignore that part :)
  5. And by "depends on your asiloader" he means it is in the first one with xlive (because GFWL is disabled in this case) and the second one with dsound (because it saves with GFWL so the savegame transfers to other computers I guess). It will also go to the second one without any asi loader.
  6. Actually it would be true because he said, "The person below me does not understand what I am writing." (No translator needed :D) False...I will not be a dog when I grow up. Pero quiero un perro cuando crezca. (slight translator use for the meaning and conjugation of "crecer...") The person below me has played Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
  7. Simple...uninstall the Big City Life mod. If you really don't want to do that, then try disabling the keys for the trainer. You'll just have to open the trainer to do everything with it. In trainer.ini, set KeyBindingsDisabled=1
  8. You need to have a multiple-livery enabled vehicle (pretty much every modded vehicle). The default cars are not multiple-livery enabled.
  9. Unless the game automatically does through a callout, you need to press Alt-E to start a pursuit. This will make the backup, as well as other units, join in on chasing the suspect.
  10. You need something like 7-Zip to open it. rar is similar to zip; it's another form of compressing files.
  11. Well, those shouldn't cause any crashes. I don't know how the different languages work. The "Value not found" just means there is no value for that control in LCPDFR.ini; it will use the default controls when that happens. Your original problem is here: I'm not sure how to fix that, or if you even can. You could try using PreloadAllModels=True in the [Main] section of LCPDFR.ini.
  12. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Support Requests. Suggestions & Requests if for requesting a new mod to be made.

MODERATOR NOTICE LCPDFR related content belongs in LCPDFR Media, moving.
  14. It isn't just a "watch this video and you will know how to script" type thing. It takes a lot of learning and practice. There are places you can look on the internet for some basic knowledge, and then learn how to specifically script for GTA IV from there, but it's not really something you can just pick up and do. MODERATOR NOTICE Also, moving to GTA IV Discussion & Media.
  15. The game was on Greenlight, but wasn't actually Green...lit. They got a publisher (Excalibur) so didn't need the Greenlight thing anymore. It's being released as a full game, not early access, but I think there will be updates in the future (but they really are not obligated by anyone to update since it will be a full game). Of course, you could be right, and it's good to be skeptical in today's world where any neckbeard in a basement can be a "professional" game developer. I do agree the game could probably be more polished, it seems like they've been rushing the development since getting a publisher, but I'm still going to pick it up when it's released.
  16. You just need to have the latest version for most mods, which is 1.0.7.0, found on the Rockstar website. Unless, of course, you have it on Steam, which auto-updates. For vehicles and peds, you'll need OpenIV or SparkIV to open the archives where the files are.
  17. Does it crash without any other mods installed? Each mod you add will reduce the stability of the game; GTA IV was not built to work with any mods. When and how it crashes, and what mods it crashes with, is different for each person for whatever reason.
  18. I guess I'll see how the preview works on my never-used MacBook Pro (which is only slightly better than the MadBookTM and DeadBookTM) later tonight. I installed the Windows 8 preview on it when that came out and almost immediately removed it.
  19. LCPDFR already uses all of the street name audio files that are available in the game. Dispatch will update car make and color, street, location, direction of travel, and speed (well the text shows speed, but the audio always says 90MPH) during pursuits. All new audio would have to be recorded to have officers calling in location and street names.
  20. Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One. Office 2010, 2013, 365. Windows 7, 8, 10. Microsoft cannot count. If they make the upgrade from 7 cheap when it first comes out like they did with 8 (or if it is free like I read it might be, more likely for just 8 users and not 7 users though), then maybe I'll upgrade. Maybe.

  22. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to Development Tutorials & Questions. Suggestions & Requests is for requesting a new mod to be made. I just started messing around in Zmod a little recently, so my knowledge is extremely limited. Based on what I do know, make sure you have the "Quadr" selection mode and Move active on the left. Use right click to select whatever you want to select, then press spacebar or click "Selected Mode" on the bottom ("Selected Mode" should be red) and use left click to move your selection.

  24. You don't need to open the diagnostic tool to view the logs. They are generated in your main GTA IV folder, and can be opened with any text editor. LCPDFR.log, AdvancedHook.log, AdvancedHookInit.log, ScriptHook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log
