How to remove roadblock problem while pressing ALT+B

Featured Replies

Hello guys.

I've got a little problem.

I've GTA 4 1.0.7.0 with the latest LCPDFR ( 1.0 c ).

The problem is begining when you're police officer.

I think everybody knows that it's possible to request backup by pressing combination : ALT + B.

When I AM NOT in police car and I press ALT + B, there is an information about requesting backup but at the same time I have to set roadblock.

May I show you what I'm trying to explain you by taking a photo.

It's really annoying because when I try to stop the suspect and I want to request backup, suddenly I have to set roadblock. During this time I can't run, so the suspect may leave the area.

I used to use a few mods. Lately, I've removed some of them from SCRIPTS folder and also from LCPDFR/plugins.

I'm not sure what exactly it is. It could be related to LCPDFR or some mod which hasn't been removed so far.

I haven't got any idea what it could be.

Any ideas?

In the picture you can see the moment when I pressed ALT + B to request backup, backup was requested but there is a problem with roadblock.

Cheers.

Setting up a roadblock is defaulted to CTRL-B and backup is ALT-B, make sure you are not pressing both at the same time. If there is still an issue, open LCPDFR.ini and find these settings in the [Keybindings] section and change it whatever free keys you want:

CheckpointControlStart=B

CheckpointControlStartModifierKey=ControlKey

If they do not exist, create them in the [Keybindings] section and set the controls.

Thank you, I'll check it. I decided to uninstall GTA 4 and install once again because I had problems with my LCPDFR.

Still the same problem.

Let's look how I did it.

I opened to edit LCPDFR/LCPDFR.ini.

I was trying to find these lines:

CheckpointControlStart=B

CheckpointControlStartModifierKey=ControlKey

I decided to created them, so in [Keybindings], I placed these two lines between :

BlockAreaModifierKey=None

ConfirmCopModel=Return

Now it looks like this:

[Keybindings]
AcceptCallout=Y
AcceptCalloutModifierKey=None
AcceptPartner=E
AcceptPartnerModifierKey=None
AimMarker=LMenu
AimMarkerModifierKey=None
Arrest=E
ArrestModifierKey=None
ArrestCallTransporter=N
ArrestCallTransporterModifierKey=None
ArrestDriveToPD=Y
ArrestDriveToPDModifierKey=None
BlockArea=M
BlockAreaModifierKey=None
CheckpointControlStart=B
CheckpointControlStartModifierKey=ControlKey
ConfirmCopModel=Return
ConfirmCopModelModifierKey=None
ConfirmCopCarModel=Return
ConfirmCopCarModelModifierKey=None
Dialog1=F9
.....

Anyway, it doesn't work. May I did something wrong?
