The penalty should be whatever the normal penalty for making a fake 911 call is in his state, plus whatever damage was caused because of the fake 911 call. 25 to life is ridiculous, and swatting is hardly an act of terrorism.

The notification he is referring to is on the website, not in the game. Everybody who follows the LCPDFR file in the downloads section would have gotten a notification saying it was updated a few days ago. I'm guessing someone changed something in the description. There is no new update at this time.

I'm pretty sure that entire website is fake, similar to The Onion, but I never heard of it before. Just read the "Headline:" things on the top of the screen. One of them is "President Obama to resign January 1st." An actual news company would have reported on that.

The only reason people think it's going to be delayed is because Rockstar hasn't said anything else about the game yet (at Gamescon, etc). But...why would they need to release anything new for a game that is already out? There is no need for them to "hype" a game that is only being re-released. The only other thing is that they haven't announced a release date yet. But you never know with Rockstar, they could announce it the day before it releases.

No, you don't have to install the taser manually. AdvancedHookInit.asi automatically adds the taser to the game every time you play, it doesn't matter which LCPDFR install method you use. Press T to spawn it. I missed that part in the original post.

No, but you can go to the audio folder and fix it by copying other files and naming them as the streets that are missing. Go to this directory in your GTA IV folder: lcpdfrAudioPoliceScannerStreets Make a copy of one of those files and rename it to whatever you are missing, i.e. make a copy of ACTER_CANAL.wav and rename it to BROWN_PLACE.wav. Like I said, the audio most likely isn't the issue, but you can try that to see if it fixes it.

Are you continuing to aim at them while using the menu? You have to keep aiming.

You can disable random police chatter in LCPDFR.ini with this setting: DisableRandomPoliceChatter=true I don't think this disables the police radio in pursuits, though.

Just because they are the last lines in the log file doesn't mean they are causing the crashes. If you look at the time stamps: [iNFO - 02:05:17] [updateCheck] DoUpdateCheck: No updates available This is done as soon as you start LCPDFR. [WARNING - 02:05:37] [AudioDatabase] GetAudioFileForAction: No file found for: FELDSPAR_ST This happened 20 seconds later. You said the game crashes after 10 minutes, not 20 seconds. If you have ANY other mods, try playing without them. GTA IV gets less stable with more mods.

Type help into it and it will list all the commands. Use Page Up and Down to scroll through.

Rockstar actually has given consent to make videos of their games, back when all the gameplay copyright stuff was going on. Is dsound.dll and xlive.dll in your main GTA IV folder? If so, delete one of them. Use this download to update your game to 1.0.7.0
