  1. It is okay to double post in and bump your own media thread if you are posting an update. Moved to LCPDFR Media.
  2. MODERATOR NOTICE Please read the descriptions of each forum section before posting a new topic to make sure you are posting in the correct section. The LCPDFR Support section is for support regarding the LCPDFR modification only. I'm moving this to GTA IV Support Requests as this is your third topic in the wrong section on this subject. Continuing to post in the wrong section will result in sanctions to your account.
  3. Increase the value for "ChanceOfRandomDispatch" to something higher than 8 to decrease the chance of a random ambulance spawning.
  4. Open TrafficFlow.ini and find this:
  5. It really isn't that uncommon to find girls who play video games if you participate in different communities. I have 9 friends on Steam who are female (out of 87, so not a very good ratio...but they exist). They are mostly either from the Bro Team Pill community or the Inside Gaming community (and one from FCRP). At least 2 of them are in relationships with someone they met through video games on the internet. There are more people that I know are girls from those communities as well, but are not on my friends list.
  6. I found out that it was TrafficLoad causing crashes (unrelated to other mods, was doing it even on a clean copy). Everything has been much more stable since removing it.
  7. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to GTA IV Discussion and Media. Please read the "Showroom Style Forums" announcement before posting in the showroom forums: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-792/announcement-11-showroom-style-forums/
  8. Here's a very short story about something that literally just happened: I got a call for homeless people disturbing LTA passengers. I respond code 2 and pull up to see 2 homeless people - one armed with a knife and the other with a baseball bat (well, baton in my case because mods). They start approaching my car so I call for backup. By time I'm done calling for backup, they are at my car and pull me out. As soon as that happens, a car barrels through sending me flying, knocking my door off, and killing the two suspects. Then the game crashed (I'm pretty sure unrelated to the plugin). It was actually quite terrifying being pulled out of the car by armed homeless people. I had a feeling it wasn't going to go well...then the car came and I just sat there in a "WTF" kind of way.
  9. All files uploaded here are scanned for viruses before they are approved so I doubt you're getting anything from this website.
  10. MODERATOR NOTICE Moving to GTA IV Development Tutorials & Questions. General & Miscellaneous is a general purpose forum for all forms of miscellaneous discussion not catered for by any subject-specific forum.
  11. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to GTA IV Development Suggestions and Requests. Please read the "Showroom Style Forums" announcement before posting in the showroom forums: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-792/announcement-11-showroom-style-forums/
  12. There is a hidden "Administrator" account on Windows that has to be enabled with the command prompt, but I'm pretty sure logging into it will give you a different desktop. Did you try renaming them so they don't have all those extensions?
  13. Depends on the mod. Script mods that end in .asi generally go in the main GTA IV folder. Script mods that end in .net.dll go in the "scripts" folder. If it is a plugin for LCPDFR, like Callouts+, then it goes in the plugins folder, which is inside the LCPDFR folder. Mods that change the content of the game (vehicles, peds, etc) are a different story. They need to be replaced using SparkIV or OpenIV.
  14. You need to complete at least the first mission, so you will start in the apartment when you play. After that, you can press Alt-P to start the mod.
  15. It just means there is no value set for each of those items in the ini, meaning the mod will use the default. Most of them should be controls for features that were added after the initial release, and weren't added to the ini. You can manually add them if you would like to change those settings.
  16. Yes, except for towing. You can use >LukeD's Callouts+ for that. The ELS folder is part of the installation. Just drag all of the files and folders from the INSTALLATION FILES folder into your main GTA IV directory.
  17. Here is a tutorial for the manual install package: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Read the user documentation included with LCPDFR if you need more info on the mod and its features. Police chases, arrests, issuing traffic tickets, frisking pedestrians, and the police database to check for valid licenses are part of LCPDFR, not separate mods. For car mods, you need to use either OpenIV or SparkIV. There are tutorials available in our tutorial database, as well as other places on the internet. A lot of vehicles are ELS enabled, meaning you will need ELS installed. >Here is that download. Again, read the user manual for an explanation of everything. Also, be advised that LCPDFR is not supported with third-party mods, such as vehicles. The more mods you have, the less stable the game will be.

  19. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to GTA IV Discussion and Media. Please read the "Showroom Style Forums" announcement before posting in the showroom forums: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-792/announcement-11-showroom-style-forums/ I'm pretty sure it isn't in-game audio; sounds like it's edited into the video.
  20. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff as it is a support topic concerning an unsupported version of LCPDFR. We do not support old versions of LCPDFR, and recommend you use and download the latest version. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  21. I'm not completely sure, but I think those config lines control how many cops will respond to the pursuit. Random patrolling cops will still join in. Also, it applies to each person individually I believe. So if you have it set to 3 cars and there are 4 suspects in the car you are chasing, then it will actually be 12 cars (3 per suspect). This is because each suspect is considered a different pursuit. I'm not completely sure about this since I didn't develop it, though.
  22. MODERATOR NOTICE Why do these topics always end up being about semantics? Keep on topic from now on or you will be sanctioned.
  23. It looks like you are trying the mount the img. To open it, you need to use SparkIV or OpenIV, not disc image mounting software.
  24. There's no problem in that log, but if you need support then post a new topic in the LCPDFR Support Requests section, following all of the instructions presented to you.
  25. Technically, you only need to read them their rights if they are being questioned, and only after being placed in custody. If you are only transporting them you don't have to, and if you haven't yet arrested them you don't have to. As I said above, they only need to be read before questioning. If they are not, it only means that anything said by the suspect after being placed in custody can't be used in court. Also, people seem to think that they don't have rights unless they are read to them...also not true, you have your rights all the time. Anyway, it is a good suggestion that would definitely add immersion to the game, but a minor detail.
