0.4.1 Stable List (with links, authors & video demos)

I am constantly updating this thread with more mods so keep an eye on it. My computer is pretty low spec so if your PC is a beast then add more on top of this list, just remember add one thing at a time and test for as long as possible then add more. Add what suits you and fits your PCs capabilities. That has been my key to getting this far with near perfect stability with play times of up to 2 hours... most of the time. Be warned LSPDFR will break eventually! The .ini files have been tweaked to my preferences which is basically maximum difficulty. Cars that are designed to be fast will get away in pursuits if you're not quick and same goes with the super sprint being tuned down to be a more of a realistic burst of energy so foot pursuits will last longer! I don't play this game to win I play for immersive roleplaying so tweak the settings how you want them if these do not suit you!

Plugins & mods list that I am running at the moment with the most stability:

Gameplay & Meta:

With just these running and nothing else the game should work almost flawless. It's when you start adding callouts and immersive mods is when LSPDFR becomes very delicate.

Guides & Help:

Use CleanWorld in console ingame (F4) to clear 99% of things in the world.

To reset everything (for example: StopThePed blips and/or backup/ems blips) pause the game and go to select character, select your character and game should reset. Going to Police Station/Apartment should also do the same thing, I think.

It's best not to alt tab during the game load up.

Are you going to be updating this for 0.4.3?

No worries! Your .ini is pretty damn cool too, by the way👍🤩 And thanks for sharing the love with Jurisdictions+ from @TreadRed😊

  • Correct, testing a mod in a stable environment is not a way to tell if its outdated or not working properly.....    Wut?   Even if the crashes were magically made up by sssneaky, j

Interesting new recopilation, thanks for the contribution! I'll take a look on those handling and traffic behaviour plugins 🤗

They work great! Let me know how it goes for you!

Just to let your know, Tacco Highway callouts still has some big bugs, the author confirmed it as well (after I reported it to him).

Code3 Callouts, PeterUCallouts, AgencyCallouts and CodeRedCallouts seem to work perfectly fine for me though, you could test/add them to your list.

Mod it until you break it.

Yeah they're all on the back burner and I haven't tested THC enough yet but I am aware of those issues, thank you!

Thanks for this list.  I'm starting a fresh install since my old one simply wasn't working at all (hanging up on the loading screen) simply upgrading from LSPDFR .3 to .4 and a few other updated mods.  Just was NOT working.

Avoid callout packs until you get the base version of LSPDFR running smooth imo.

I'm running the same visual mods as you plus CityLights, Forests of San Andreas, LA Roads, Real Ads, Real Police Stations and Better License Plates. It's been stable for me so far but it's demanding. I'm also playing with the game settings maxed out, so that's definitely contributing. But if your machine can handle it, you won't find a better GTA V/LSPDFR experience from a realism standpoint. I just need a couple more cars to complete my real CA agencies fleet and then I'm set.

Also, I don't know if you missed it or not, but I started this thread when LSPDFR 0.4 first released. I've been a little slack in updating it recently but most everything works now, at least that's used by the majority of the community.

Oh wow that's your thread!? Dude you're basically the reason I'm at the stage I'm at. Combined with Albos tutorials I am now very fast at testing this mod and understanding what to do when something goes wrong. Thank you!

Yikes, I have no idea how to use half the stuff anymore.  So much has changed!

Just take your time and start from a base of LSPDFR and use the meta plugins you understand without callouts. Play for a bit, then add more. Add visuals after plugins, then add callouts last imo. I have found most crashes are caused by World events triggered by callouts, at least in my experience. Good luck!

That's me haha! No problem, glad I could be of assistance! I'll agree that it's usually callouts (or very outdated plugins) that cause 'random' crashes. I see people using plugins that haven't been updated since 2015-2016 and wonder why they're crashing nonstop. Lol

A good rule of thumb is that aside from game memory issues, graphics mods and .ymaps and the like won't crash your game/LSPDFR. That's mostly why I never included them in my original list and only stuck to the meat and potatoes of LSPDFR.

Yes agreed. I will format my thread in a bit and make that more clear. I'm going to start testing all those visuals you've mentioned especially the forest one, I've seen that on fiveM RP servers and it looks amazing. OTB callouts just updated fyi. If you're playing you should test it out!

gta-grand-theft-auto.gif

Its such a pain trying to get regular stuff I used before to work again.  I can't get the Player Location Display to work or the mod I used to let me use my steering wheel.  Ugh, starting from scratch with little to no guides, haha.  And then the chaos of LSPDFR.  Yeah, I really need to just start with one mod at a time to figure out what buttons do what.  Like I can't get the ELS console to come up to control my lights and sirens.  Just so much I need to relearn and reset.

Why are you running on such low settings? Also, thank you for the list! Definitely will help out tremendously.

ah gotcha, also. The police radio.. do you use that or..? Also every plugin you listed, you use?

because some of the ones listed require the police radio...

Yep every plugin here is my current build. Played last night for at least one hour without a crash. If you look at the plugins list there is PoliceSmartRadio in there 🙂
