  • Let's all take a deep breath and rest assured that we're still committed to releasing 0.4 this month.

  • Just as a heads up, I can't think of much that makes me grumpier than having to hide 24 nonsense posts after working without sleep on 0.4.  Lack of sleep I can deal with; people being idiots not

  • I've been informed we'll have to delay release by one day for each cat that is killed.

I mean it's not as if this won't be announced on all of our social media when it's released. If you don't want to keep checking, you can always opt to log off from LCPDFR.com, and instead wait for a notification on social media.

Where's the fun in that?

So.

Why is there no fixed release date?
The least you could do was say "We are ready to release about the 15th, but says we release it 25th - That give us 10 days if something comes up"

I have to be honest, it smells like you're trying to increase traffic and make some money. And should that be the case, then just sell it for 10 bucks.

There's no fixed release date because there's likely work still being done, touchups etc. As has been mentioned by @Cyan users are more than welcome to wait it out for social media announcements. People choose to come to this website, if its a personal issue for you and you think you're being used for ad revenue, close the page 🙄

Well, I hadn't been here if they hadn't said that 0.4 was soon to release.

I honestly just feel they didn't make a definitive release date because they are trying to perfect it before release and are just running final test or other such things. Doing so might bring up problems that can be quickly fixed, but might delay the release a little. I would prefer they spend a little more time as opposed to releasing it to us a little early and we play a broken mess. It seems perfectly reasonable though because they have been working on 0.4 for what seems to be years and one single month seems minuscule in the grand scheme of the progress.

However, I do hear you. It is a tad bit annoying to have a release window of a whole month and it is very true that this announcement has cause increased traffic to their website, but I'm sure that wasn't their intention. But hey, if they're trying to do that then it is of 0 concern to me because they've made a great mod for free for all these years that doesn't require us to pay.

You guys DO realize that the more you post here and teh more you cry about it not being released, it's possibly getting more and more postponed than if you didn't do so? Administrators are making money off of the traffic in this situation and will delay the release as much as possible to make the most money off of your thirst. If anything else would be the case, they would give some info and probably close this thread but of course they don't. Leave this forum. This is how 0.4 will be possibly released, not by being thirsty.

But it is soon to release, this has been a good year or so in the making, and a matter of days left to wait is nothing in comparison.

That is true!

I don't mind waiting for a month or two more. It's just daunting that 36 days have passed since they announced 0.4 - And they say February. Had they said late February, you would had something to relate to.

We are closing in on the final weeks of the month, based on that odd's are the release will legit be the last day of this month. If anything expect it a day or two before. It will release this month. This thread would not have been made with the phrase " Coming In February " in it otherwise.

Whilst I agree that there's no point in complaining its not out yet, I disagree that the team are simply biding their time to generate revenue. I'm not sure there's an exact way of measuring but I'm willing to bet a great deal of users have adblock installed regardless. A lot of people simply want to engage with others whilst they wait.

I don't doubt the integrity of the staff here and I'm sure if an issue arises they'd rather tell the community than lead them on. It will come out, and if not there's a damn good reason why it isn't. It only takes the smallest amount of experience developing something to know how a set back can affect many things.

I think it is extremely negative of you to think that the staff are rubbing their hands together laughing at everyone getting frustrated, or for more traffic to be created. Instead the devs are hard at work trying to polish off this amazing update, so that when it is released it will be almost perfect, with extremely rare crashes or major bugs. This requires many hours from us testers, then from the devs to iron out any kinks that may be within the mod.
Things are being implemented that have not even been mentioned within any of the release posts that Sam has made. These features need to be thoroughly checked. LMS, Sam and Cyan do not do things half-arsed and only release something once it has been tested, checked and re-checked to ensure that you, the player base, have the best enjoyment from the mod.
There is no fixed release date as (if you ask many developers) anything can crop up at anytime, but trust me. Everyone is working their asses off this update to be released...

I hope this allows people to chill their beans

Says the guy who can play it lol

But seriously, hopefully what you said can put an end to the irrational whinging, accusations and pointless arguments.

I mean, what we play isn't the release version. We're not playing it primarily for entertainment, we're playing to find bugs. We're testing all sorts of things one might conjure up to do in the mod plus a lot more, to make sure you guys have a bug-free experience.

Now @Shockie While I do not agree with the previous comments in the past bit, It is refreshing for those of us who have some patience (may not seem like it, but WE are just killing time) to see someone from the team to give the community some semblance of hope and reassurance and not just " It will be released in February " Or " Before the 28th ". Shows some compassion on your behalf and I personally respect the hell out of that.
