  • Let's all take a deep breath and rest assured that we're still committed to releasing 0.4 this month.

  • Just as a heads up, I can't think of much that makes me grumpier than having to hide 24 nonsense posts after working without sleep on 0.4.  Lack of sleep I can deal with; people being idiots not

  • I've been informed we'll have to delay release by one day for each cat that is killed.

I really like what they did when it came to developing the arrest !! however, I have a question, can the NPC cops also do this action as the player?

either today or a week from now, it must be on a Sunday, the last ones were, I'd rather have it out a week from now, rather than tomorrow, just for the memes, btw anyone going lowkey insane, just play some vanilla, or get some vehicle packs ready

I think it's pretty annoying to make unrealistic and inaccurate announcements about the possible release more than a month before. You could also announce the end of February if any other release date seems unrealistic, so as not to let your community stand in obscurity.
Many people have been hyping for weeks, although every staff member is more or less aware that February 2019 means only the end of February. You wouldn't have had to announce a specific release date, but at least a realistic period as short as possible.
Again, it's just my point of view and I don't know tactical backgrounds. For me personally, it always seems disappointing, as it subconsciously feels like it's shifted every weekend.

Nonetheless, I thank you for your work and hope for a timely release by, as announced, the 28th of February.

I agree with the above ^ was the ploy to keep people coming back here every hour for ad revenue generation?

It was fun at the start of Feb with everyone hyping but now it's just plain annoying and while I appreciate that you don't sell this and you've done it out of your own free time you cannot deny you have a fanbase that doesn't act any different just because it's free.

Companies always announce release dates months in advance, why should they been any different? This practice isnt exclusive to video games.

May we know what part of "LSPDFR 4.0 coming Feb 2019" is unrealistic and inaccurate? I believe announcing a release date 45 days perior to the release is actually very responsible, short and realistic period! Please don't make illogical and thoughtful statement while LSPDFR team is working hard to get something done for all of us!

The difference and you can look this up in every release:

step 1: game isn't finish yet

Step 2: release an approx release date
step 3: game is almost ready

Step 4: Release accurate release date

Pointless trying to prove my point wrong by looking on steam as their developer guidelines states they can follow the approximation but must announce a day for the game to unlock on  within 30 days of planned release.

Granted as most games are paid for, they do this so they are managing peoples expectations of things like:

- Will I afford it at this date?

- Do I have time on this date?

- Can I move things around to play/pay for it?

Free games do this as well but remove the paid aspects.

In my view, this makes sense especially when you want to boost pre-sales. Particularly since you could do a little better than the rest of the industry.

I just wanted to point out that I guess from my point of view that from the staff's point of view it was already obvious that the beginning of February could not be achieved and therefore unrealistic.

If that were the case, we might say the end of February. This date would perhaps be more targeted.

Nor do I want to start a discussion about it or condemn anything. I personally simply wish for more transparency in the future, as there is no reason for me to handle it the way it is done at the moment.

The fact remains that LSPDFR should take the time they need.
But maybe they could minimize the release range so that you don't hyped yourself months before.

Nevertheless, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience I may cause.

Let's get back to why we're all here. Support the LSPDFR team and mentally prepare for the release.

oh yes I forgot, will it be possible to choose which agency will respond to such intervention, for example (a unit that specializes in a field, such as special forces for robberies or a highway brigade that specializes on all the interventions related to the highway? I hope that someone will be able to answer my 2 questions and thanks to @Sam  and the whole team for what you are doing !!

well i hate to break it down for you. this isn't steam, this is lcpdfr.com and this is how things happen around here. i have nothing against no precise release date and neither should you.

And where did I compare LCPDFR.com and steam? I didn't. I clearly said that in every game cycle of media hype there will always be an exact release date to manage peoples expectations. I mentioned steam because that is what most people will look to to try and prove me wrong so I eliminated that as an option.

You may have nothing against a precise release date but I do because it's clearly an attempt to get people to come back here every hour for ad revenue generation from the site advertisements.
