I am sorry, but I don't get why you're defending BLM. They only protest for 'black rights' when a white kills them. Black on black crime is an extremely large problem in this country, and it has turne

Two blacks shot by cops in one day?!!?! PIGS, RACIST PIGS! AVENGE!!! Maybe they should think for once, maybe they'll figure out who the real pigs are. People are so fucking stupid. Maybe you know

Yeah. let's protest against cops killing black criminals. Never mind politicians who sorta supposed to create conditions for the crime to decrease and for young blacks to do something positive instead of becoming criminals. Police is supposed only to protect people and solve crime, but is always blamed for everything (and last I checked Mr. President joined the rally too and said police kills too many black people. Christ, it only shows the extent of your failure as a leader...)

Black Lives Matter is not responsible for this. The protest was very peaceful until the snipers attacked. DPD was marching with the protesters and there's even pictures of them smiling together. When the shots rang out both BLM and DPD ran for cover, and a BLM protester was also struck by gunfire. The protesters were also being shot at, not just the cops. So please don't turn this into "the protesters did this, BLM is a hate group trying to kill cops." It's stupid and completely counter factual. Does Dylann roof at all represent the right wing? No, and neither do these fucking sickos.

Also, in the thread about the man who was shot by cops, EVERYONE said "I'll wait for the facts before making. A judgement" but in this thread a ton of people are blaming the protesters, even calling BLM a hate group. Why's that? We don't yet know the race of the suspects, what their motive was, or whether or not they were supporters of BLM. So far, all we know is that they are cop killers just like all of the other cop killers we've seen. What happened to "waiting for the facts"?

Sorry for the double post, but I'm listening to the Dallas police scanner right now. Definitely sounds like fully automatic gunfire over the radio. If not, it's a TON of semi-auto being fired. Sounds like a damn war zone....

BLM is but a initially benign symptom of the hatred that has festered for decades. Tell me, what group has been the face of anti-cop sentiment for the last three years? What group has been beatifying violent criminals?  What group has many supporters of it gleefully celebrating every time tragedy befalls an officer? What group has many supporters of it blatantly calling for violence against officers?

These brave officers lay down there lives everyday and how do we appreciate them? We march down the streets holding signs protesting them. I am not saying BLM is responsible for these 5 dead officers but they have no right to protest against these cops in my opinion and then go run to them for help when shots ring out.

According to what I've read, Dallas Police have been very supportive to protests in the city, and the protest tonight was very peaceful. Apparently Dallas welcomed protests, which is a very good strategy to prevent rioting. Dallas police were marching with the protesters when the shots rang out. The protesters were protesting systemic racism within the justice system, and the statistically disproportionate killings of unarmed black males. They weren't protesting police in general. Let's also not forget that a protester was struck by gunfire.

The police were unbelievably brave in protecting the protesters. Let that be a heartwarming reminder of their bravery, not a political point.

Let's try and maintain respect for the fallen officers this morning. As the death-toll reaches 5, I implore all of you to refrain from any hateful comments whilst these losses are so fresh.  It is clear the peaceful protest was not the issue and that these individuals had planned this attack long before the recent shootings of the past 48 hours.

I was thinking the same thing. Amassing all of that gear must have taken time and resources, let alone planning the attack...this probably wasn't about the shootings

No, but they are a catalyst for it. This movement, organization, group, whatever you want to call it; is toxic. It's caused nothing but trouble since its inception. Bull**** "hands up don't shoot" protests (when the person in question did not actually surrender to the best of my recollection, but an entire NFL team did it anyway... don't push your political agenda in my sports game), intentional violent targeting of police officers and even white civilians in areas where shootings involving a white cop occurred, looting, rioting, the blocking of highways, interrupting speeches by major political candidates, crashing town meetings, the list goes on and on.

Everyone deserves a voice, and everyone deserves to be able to protest, but everybody needs to cut the race card bull****. That's not the cause of every police shooting in recorded history, and I'm tired of seeing people behave like it is.

I'm not even going to respond to this. There's so much to respond to, and I know I'll never convince you of anything. You seemed like you needed to get this out of your system, and I hear you brother, it's a shitty night. We'll have the BLM discussion another time, if you'll be willing to hear me out. Have a good night

You just did. And there isn't really a whole lot of content to sift through. I'm all for peaceful protesting, but this movement or group that may have been started by well intentioned folks who want to root out racism in the world of law enforcement has been hijacked by people who have ill will towards the police. Lots of people of color have even badmouthed the BLM movement because it just promotes racial tension and hate. Unfortunately, BLM probably won't go anywhere any time soon as a result of the police killings that happen all over the country, many of which occur in low income areas where minorities are more likely to be the victim.

The best way to not respond would be to actually not respond, dude.

I meant that I'm not going to respond to the content of your post. I quite frankly don't have the patience or the energy to have the same exact BLM debate every week when there's a shooting. You want to believe they're a dangerous racist hate group, so you will. I can't convince you of anything.

I didn't say that at all. I said they're a catalyst for people who want to cause harm and spread hate, because they're able to use the 'BLM' name or principle as a shield. BLM is supposed to be an equality movement, so when somebody criticizes actions taken or words said in their name, it makes the person calling them out look like the bad guy because he/she is not pro-equality. I have no doubt the people that started the BLM campaign had the right ideas in mind, but many of the people who hopped on the bandwagon in the weeks and months following its inception have not improved it.

Of course. That's normal. The movement attracts the least powerful in our society, but still manages to be mostly peaceful. A small percentage of those people are bound to be violent or mentally ill, they clearly didn't get the message of the movement. Not sure what you expect, even the pro-second amendment movement has its share of cop killers.

This is one of the most devastating things I have lived through. I got up early and it was the first thing I saw on my phone. Why, in every other civilized country, can there be a middle ground where all lives matter, even blue lives, but in America you are either on one side or the other. The initial officers on scene were there for a peaceful and, according to pretty much every news site, loving, and inclusive protest.

These shooters, whatever races they are, are terrorists (in my opinion) and are only seeking to halt progress.

That's another topic for another thread, the "black on black crime" talking point has been thoroughly discussed before and frankly I don't care to start that again. BLM was formed because black individuals are disproportionately killed by police, and because our justice system unfairly targets minorities. THAT is their message. Anything else is bullshit that's been lost in a game of telephone among conservative media.

No, thats not a fair analogy. The cop was a uniformed cop being paid by the department. BLM does not have membership.

I absolutely guarantee the killers will be condemned by the movement, I'll personally PM you their response just to prove it to you.

oh they are killed more then whites right ..better look at the 2016 stats its almos equally whites shot by police ...take that stuff somewhere else blm is nothin more then isis in disguise and should be dealt with like so

This is just fucked. Honestly I am not suprised anymore. BLM has practically evolved into a terrorist group by now, and I am glad DPD did their jobs well. I hope that a large scale crackdown on civilians owning hunting weapons or automatic weapons that supports BLM is going to happen soon. I hope that the fuckers who are behind this that didn't get shot by police gets locked up for life or executed.

Also, "Guns don't kill people, other people do, but automatic weapons and hunting rifles help."
