If the game doesn't end up happening then the developers have wasted the past year and a half establishing investors and employees. That's why nothing has been heard from them in a while, doesn't mean it will happen but it would've been a huge waste of time for them if it doesn't.

It will be a good game if it ever gets completely built.  Still a long long way out.  Doesn't sound like they are doing it for the money.  3 years of effort and the sales probably wont amount to much profit.  Seems games like this get half way built and then released way early.  A company like rockstar is the only one with the money to invest in all that development time.

Getting bored roleplaying?  Need ideas for calls to respond to?  Try out http://sandyshorespd.weebly.com/  Tons of role play dispatches to use your imagination on.

I find it funny that they actually want to release this (if it ever gets fully developped) on PS4 and Xbox One. It would be a massive flop, the community around police simulation is quite small, not enough to justify the release on consoles at least.

They have to say anything that'll get them donations man, that's all they really want I'm sure. Hell, they'd announce a release on printer screen if they could make money from it, LMAO.

I'll pass until I actually hear something from them.

Look at the youtubes, they have devblogs, just posted one the other day, and a pretty busy facebook page.

I honestly have no hopes for this game at all. This is probably the 392792th time I heard of it and like CouthInk, I thought it died.

It'd be good if it came out, supported modding and didn't sucked. Last good police game I've seen was True Crime: NY (which had lots of potential for police mods, btw, don't know if that was ever a thing with it though)

Ok, I just checked out their latest devdiary on youtube, and it looks great. Apparently there's PAPERWORK :woot::woot: (seriously, I want paperwork!)

Just... No. For starters, a 100sq mile map?

I did some research and GTA V's map is around 30-40sq miles big, so a map three times as large as GTA V? I just find that impossible, unless they have loading screens.

The Multicultural and both Male and Female Officers thing sound like they were forced to put in some equal rights and political shit, because obviously all LEO's are Caucasian and Male. No.

VR Support, lol, no need to say more.

ANd I could go on and on. It's just one of those games that'll sacrifice gameplay for graphics in the ends, so I'll pass.

I highly doubt his "investors" are going to invest the ten million dollars he supposedly needs to a company that nobody has ever heard of for a game that will probably go nowhere. It's certainly interesting, but given this and the way he acted on our forums, even if it doesn't flop, I still won't be buying it.

What did he do on the forums?

This was at-least a year ago if not more, but he abused members when they questioned the authenticity of the game and then threatened legal action against LCPDFR.com. Discussion about the game was prohibited for many weeks after that.

That was good times.

To be honest, aren't we in the same position now pretty much, without the creator of 10-13, abusing and legal threats?

What happened to all the other police simulator games, that were "in active development" and "almost ready for the release"? I even remember a trailer featuring a pursuing (or so it said). All those topics were like "this is what we all wanted!", "this is THE breakthrough!" And yet here I am, sitting in a Vapid Stanier in the middle of this desert. Good luck and all, but I have a speeder to pull over.
