Some police slots are not multi-livery enabled. To enable the liveries, go in vehicles.meta in update/update.rpf/common/data/level/gta5, extract it, open it with notepad or similar software, find the lines of the slot you placed the car in and scroll down to a line with a series of 'FLAG_HAS_STUFF'. Add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY at the end of it, save, replace the original vehicles.meta file with the one you modified, done.

Three cops got injured... surely it would be better to think of a solution which has the chance of stopping this ahead of time? I mean, it's all good saying every religious place in America needs armed guards but I highly doubt local law enforcement departments are going to send their valuable manpower to every religious building in their jurisdiction on the off-chance it is involved in a shooting, so these guards are coming from somewhere else - who is going to pay for them, how trained are they going to be.

It's all good saying that everyone will be safer with more armed guards, yet all I see is poor response to an issue which happens somewhat reguarly in the United States - don't get me wrong, I don't say I know the answer but surely putting the money into finding a more logical, safer and sustainable solution is better than just throwing more likely poorly trained rent-a-cops into the line of fire.

I find it funny that you seem to spend all day attempting to fire shots yet not making a point, I didn't say gun control was what was needed, and you'd know this if you read my post, so I am just going to gather that you didn't. I know that when Armed Police respond here, they are the very best trained in the world, I feel safe knowing that, so it works out incredibily well for me and I am sure the people from France would also agree.

So are you going to actually contribute to the discussion or just attempt to trigger people with off-topic jibes, and yes I can see the hidden posts where you went out of your way to be rude and offensive.

Perhaps with the current state of affairs it is necessary to have armed protection in these places, but isn't that just a really sad reflection of how things have become?  Why is it possible for someone like this to perpetrate such a massacre?  I can't think of any reason whatsoever why someone who is in such a state of mind should be allowed anywhere near a pistol, never mind an AR-15.  It's just something that shouldn't happen.

Honestly, if you keep focusing solely on increasing protection and increasing security, how far does this go?  Is it going to get to a point where there are armed checkpoints on every major intersection?

How can it be a partisan issue to stop lunatics from shooting at innocent people with rifles?

And no, I hate to say it, but you're wrong.  Making fun of a politician for being "orange" - i.e. them choosing to apply fake tan - is entirely different to being racist.  You can choose whether or not to wear fake tan or whatever else.  You don't exactly choose the colour of your skin, though.

Lots of arguments to counter there, love it.

1v3. You shoot one, the two others get to you and stab you, you lose. Even in 1v1 scenarios sometimes more weapons don't help you, ie just have to look at traffic stops going wrong in the US. So no, I'm not wrong.

    And you’re wrong about that.

Yeah, it happens. I never said it didn’t. But the facts say that you’re more likely to shoot an innocent person or yourself than a bad guy who actually deserved to die.

I could say the same to you. Pro-gun articles don’t mention gun thefts, shooting innocent people and family members, or the connection between access to firearms and successful suicide. I’m sure you apply the same objectivity to pro-gun media, right?

    Larger reality > anecdotes.

You’re asking questions that have already been answered. I can’t force to to accept reality, you’re on your own brother. There are a ton of studies about the relationship between guns and suicide, if you don’t understand by now you’re just ignorant.

Oh good god, dude. The romanticism you place on self-defense is super cringed. Yeah, I’ve been attacked. No chance of me seeing it coming. If I had a gun, he probably would’ve taken it from me and might’ve even shot me with it.

Im done talking to you. You’re too deluded with self-defense machismo to be objective.

Can't we just all agree that any person who owns a gun should be required to do three things?

    1. Be trained and certified to show that you are capable of using a gun and will use it responsibly.
    2. Have a criminal background check to make sure you did not commit a crime so severe that it would warrant you not having a gun.
    3. Be required to carry your gun licences everywhere you take your gun so that way you have proof that shows "Hey, I know how to use a gun".

I honestly can't see how any of this is a violation of rights.

I can likely outrun someone with a knife, have the potential to outfight someone in a fist-fight, but I can't outrun a bullet. Obviously, the whole European point of things would never work in the United States, simply because how many guns are already out there, most other countries I'd argue a case could be made that it is safer to have no guns or strict limitations, but the numbers in the United States simply means that either way you'd struggle to make a difference.

Guns in the hands of mentally unstable people is the issue, and is a correctable one.

There is a huge difference between many types of violence. I'm not a saint and I honestly don't care about gang violence, for example, when they kill each other, as long as it doesn't affect normal citizens. On the other hand, cases like above affect innocent people for no reason. It is a problem, and is mainly US problem (almost never happens in my home country, a real rare occurrence in many European countries).

Simply speaking, you have almost nonexisting chance getting shot just because in a mall, in a school or in an office in Russia. Do you see my point?

I think you missed the point the article you quoted was trying to make there. They seemed to specifically talk about terrorist attacks, in which case I definitely agree that an excellent intelligence and better community policing are the ways to go, rather than arming a larger portion of officers. Acting preemptively to avoid those attacks from happening is much better than letting them happen and just hope to be able to deal with it with armed officers once they occur. Good intelligence services allow for better tracking of dangerous individuals, and proper community policing can prevent some people in poor or segregated communities to fall into extremism.

Do you ever look into a mirror? -You- have a narrative. Something happens, it's muslisms' or black people's fault. An officer is attacked, it's a muslim or a black person, gotta be one. A shop is being looted, it's muslims immigrants or african americans, gotta be them. And if someone disagrees with you, they're nasty people hating the US and guns. And you dare tell others are close-minded and narcissistic? You can't be serious.

And don't you dare start talking about antogonize and instigate, because, and I'd love to remind you, this was supposed to be a discussion about a british officer being assaulted, and YOU brought France in the discussion, YOU directly named me even though I didn't talk to you but about the topic discussed at hand in the first place, all by yourself. But yes, you do make quite a good statement. Working to stop the issue before it occurs is always the best plan of action.

Not going to debate the gun issue, been over that countless times before, especially as it relates to the UK: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/83855-texas-school-shooting/?do=findComment&comment=547070

It's totally incorrect to suggest that our police fear for their lives and are begging for guns, though.  The Police Federation often surveys the police on this and there's little appetite for all police officers to be issued with guns with the most recent survey suggesting two thirds remain opposed to it.  It's an idea similarly opposed by the vast majority of senior police officers (if not all of them) and I think that just about everyone here embraces the unique model of policing that we have - I think you have to understand that it's very different to what you have in the US, especially as it relates to using force.  Indeed, it is frequently reported that police forces throughout England & Wales are actually struggling to recruit enough firearms officers - the vast majority just don't want to carry guns.  Even drawing the gun would be considered a reportable use of force here where paperwork must be filed after...  You simply couldn't do that in the US - you'd probably run out of paper.

On the contrary, you are entirely correct when you say that the Conservative government has cut police funding, and these cuts do appear to be having a worrying impact - especially as it relates to the numbers of officers.  I think that there's much greater public awareness of this now (it is frequently reported throughout the media, and it's not a left wing or right wing issue) and I'd be surprised if the government doesn't allocate extra funding in the next budget as they are starting to see the blowback from it.

Looting has been prevalent during many disasters like this beforehand. As for the part with the owners not wanting the police to become involved is well beyond me, however looting has, and always will be a problem during times like these.

If you want to compare shootings in the US to terrorist attacks in France, you should provide both sides. According to your own data, there have been 274 deaths caused by terror attacks in France in the past 15 years. Based on http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/ there have been 10,381 deaths as a result of shootings in the US in 2018 alone.

I'm not providing an opinion to either side of this debate, but no one is going to take you seriously if you don't acknowledge the facts from both sides.

Also, I don't see how what's going on in France is even relevant here. Knock it off with your off topic personal attacks against people not from the US.

Similar situation here. I live just a few kilometers away from Marseille, 2nd largest city in France and holding the largest community of muslims in the whole country. My father, who's a police officer, is regularly called as back-up there as he's part of the motorized brigade (the cops on bikes). I've been living here for 21 years, and yet I have never seen or heard anything like the stuff showed in those videos, nor did my dad.

The no-go zones are a myth, created by Fox News, who has been sued by the townhall of Paris for defamation. Fox News publicly apologized for making up this hoax, but it was too late as idiots who knew nothing about it picked it up and began to spread it, whether it was true or not. Yeah, there are difficult neighborhoods. Just like there are difficult neighborhoods in the US. Public forces still go in them when needed, be it police, firefighters or medical services. I guess that's too difficult to understand for some people.

Oh wait, that is right. You are wrong, so wrong to the point I struggle to tell if you believe the stuff you post or whether you are just trolling.

I come from one of the most deprived areas in the entire country, the same area you are most likely to see all these 'islamic immigrants' you speak of who are doing all these nasty mean things. Yet when I go out I don't seem to see them at all, kinda confusing don't you think. Maybe I should follow Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon to find all those criminal muslims he sees, oh and by Stephen I mean the guy with the pseudonyms Tommy Robinson and Andrew McMaster, boy he seems awfully big into sounding like a true british man.
