THIS... THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR. THE BIG ONE. THE CHOSEN ONE.

I highly doubt his "investors" are going to invest the ten million dollars he supposedly needs to a company that nobody has ever heard of for a game that will probably go nowhere. It's certainly interesting, but given this and the way he acted on our forums, even if it doesn't flop, I still won't be buying it.

Just crack it IF it releases, lmao.

Lol, their list of things to be done is fun.

Just... No. For starters, a 100sq mile map?

I did some research and GTA V's map is around 30-40sq miles big, so a map three times as large as GTA V? I just find that impossible, unless they have loading screens.

The Multicultural and both Male and Female Officers thing sound like they were forced to put in some equal rights and political shit, because obviously all LEO's are Caucasian and Male. No.

VR Support, lol, no need to say more.

ANd I could go on and on. It's just one of those games that'll sacrifice gameplay for graphics in the ends, so I'll pass.

With the team that is working on it, I doubt the map will come soon, but for reference, I believe Arma 3's map is a bit larger than 100sq mi. Just Cause 2's map is definitely far larger than 100sq mi, without loading screens, so it is definitely possible.

The project is to big and the customer group they're targeting is to small. I don't think this game will ever be released.

May as well put my 2 pence (ain't got time fo' that cent's) in on this.

I've followed the development quite a bit for this game, am I eagerly awaiting it's release? no. The Developers have not released anything which really makes me want to put trust into them. The game itself seems like one of those quickly mashed together games that you see on Kickstarter. It's meant to be this triple-a professional game development company and it's just full of these quickly crafted images which are put on their homepage. They have some sort of slider going across the main-page of their site and it's got one image which is of a few police cars, it's also one of the most pixelated images I have ever seen... in my life.

In terms of professionalism, just looking at the posts on their forums puts me off. They're not structured properly, and really look like they are being aimed at people under the age of fifteen. They really have to work on changing their whole perception if they want to be taken seriously in the "policing" community.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

Brining this up and saying this is what we want is a joke, even if this thing is somehow completed, it'll probably just lack details and fade back into obscurity, oh, and now I've been through their forums, they still have tons of open jobs needed and plan to release with a fully customisable map (what?) in 2016. They are waaaay too optimistic.

I expected a much... "Different" response...

Well I remember seeing it sometime last year and it really looks like they haven't made much progress.

There is this other game (EmergencyNYC) that's also in development, at a slow but steady pace. Here's the Facebook page , their website is down at the moment. I'm pretty sure it won't be any of the things in the topic title but it's something to keep an eye on as it shows potential.

This looks more ambitious than anything I've ever seen. I don't know how the hell they're going to pull it off without forcing people to buy a Cray just to run it, but damn son, everything looks incredible. If only the descriptions were written by someone who actually spoke English.

A positive reply!

The gentleman who is heading it personally insulted most of this community and has really nothing nice to say about the LCPDFR community.

And then he says that our community is amazing but didn't reply about making HIS GAME after insulting the community (I wasn't registered when that happened)

Police 1013 is a massive multiplayer open World Police Simulator

If I wasnt turned off already

Modules and DLC Content

The future of Police 1013 is expected to be a very long one. With planned Download content and Modules that will keep this game alive for years to come. Below are some of the planned content that we’re calling our MODULE packs that will be available for download after the full game has been released.

Modules

WORLD MODULES:

We plan to release specific Country modules that will add World Police made vehicles, uniforms and weapons to replicate those from other Countries around the World.

Australia

England

Germany

France

Italy

Switzerland

And many more…

EMERGENCY SERVICES MODULES:

In future releases we plan to add Fire Services and Ambulance services which will eventually be part of their own divisions throughout the Metro City and Country areas within the game. In other words, players can become medics or fireman as an example.

Our hope is that we can cover an entire City’s Emergency Service’s needs.

POLICE AGENCY TRAINING MODULES:

One of our grandest plans is to make POLICE 1013 PRO EDITION, which we see as a training module that can be used by Police Agencies around the World to help train real Police. This is a very ambitious module that will come with a different cost structure but can be implemented into any Police Agency around the World to help new recruits understand Policing in a 3d environment.

DLC (Downloadable Content)

Our plans are to make several versions of the game over a 10 year period. Like most other successful AAA games, there will be POLICE 2, POLICE 3 etc. In between the release of these newer and more improved versions of the game we will offer Downloadable content for our gamers. Examples of these DLC’s are:

New Maps

New Uniforms

New Vehicles

New Weapons

New Gadgets

New HUD’S

Game Updates

Police 1013 is not just a game that is released without a future. We see the greatest benefit in this game where as the future is limitless to what we can achieve over time. As new technology is born, we can adapt to that new technology and bring updates into the game to cope with what’s new.

This game has the potential to be one of the biggest simulation franchises of all time. We plan to keep this potential alive through the many varied DLC’s and Module add-ons that we can to better serve the gaming communities wants and needs over a long period. As new technology comes out with newer game engines, we will rebuild the game from the ground up with the new gaming engine. When that happens the game will be made fresh and a new chapter will begin.

LOOL, more things

One of their main problems, discarding the un-professionalism is how they interact with their community, the information they release and all. At such early stages in development, without previously making a game they are promising features that games with enormous budgets struggle to develop. They have what seems like a small team and they are planning on creating a map which is 100 Square Miles which if my research is correct, is the same size as the map from Grand Theft Auto V. The amount of time it took for Grand Theft Auto V to be released and they was working with a massive budget and a team of around 900.

I really do  wonder if they are going to keep their plans to make such a massive game and if so, how long would it really end up taking with their small team.

I agree Ben, it would be amazing to have something like this. But I am personally fine with LSPDFR, and to be honest they're shooting way above themselves.

as for the whole Police 1013 Pro Edition, thats a load of crap, a game in which law enforcment agencies around the world could learn from is impossible with our tech at this point, they'd have to implement a feature for codes of different countries, cities, counties, state (whatever you want to go by). It'd be ridiculously expensive to do so.
