  • Guys, I just took a look at GTA V files with OpenIV (new update) and almost evrything is in XML. Take a look at this file - dispatch.meta. It controls the wanted level system, or more specifically, wh

Trainer does work online. Some asshat is even streamed it on youtube, using explosive bullets and no gravity, etc.

I wonder how they're going to fix this one. They can't possibly stop every single person using it online, they apparently match up cheaters in "cheater lobbies" instead of full on bans but either way theres probably hundreds of people doing this by now. I guess it's no surprise, it's been there since console but now its just more larger scale.

Rockstar really needs to just be more lenient with everything.  I understand wanting to keep people with trainers in a separate lobby from people without, but there are people being deemed "cheaters" for the dumbest reasons and glitches, some of which could easily be avoided.  Even simple things like the police outfit and storing emergency vehicles are a huge deal to them, and I just want to know why.

I want to know why as well. If they just made 'legal' ways to purchase them, I feel that the average player would not need to resort to using glitches, or hacks. Thoughts?

I would gladly grind the missions in order to buy a police car, but no.  They even went to the extent of personally going through accounts and deleting the police outfit from players inventories.  This is the reason why we need glitches, mods, and trainers like this.

Aye, I don't get their need to remove player choice. Being able to steal and store police vehicles aswell as wear police outfits for some form of unofficial role-playing seems like a natural extension for players.

I keep hoping they'll embrace the idea of having a police protagonist at some point for an expansion, maybe like officer Tenpenny from SA. They've done the gangster/crime life thing to death now, lets do something different R*.

There's a few things I don't understand with GTA V. They have trucks with the ability to move cargo trailers but omitted GTA SA style trucking missions.
Why'd they remove Vigilante missions when your in a police car, even the wanted board from GTA IV would have done. Why can't you open the cargo plane rear doors. The animations there (from the mission) and we have context action buttons for vehicles.

Just really strange to put in so much effort to these things then only use them for singular missions.

If there is anything to learn about Rockstar, it is that they are very inconsistent, in my opinion.

The reason companies care about things like the police outfit or storing emergency vehicles is that that involves you exploiting the game, whether via mods or via glitches, to get something they didn't want you to have. Companies care a lot if you're exploiting the game; it's the same reason Microsoft would ban anyone with a strangely-colored avatar from Xbox Live: there was no way to get the avatar except by modding/exploits, and what they were punishing was that. Rockstar doesn't want people to start thinking it's OK to exploit glitches in GTA Online.

As for police protagonist: While they have done lots and lots of "criminal" games, you're forgetting the part where said games give them essentially a license to print money. I don't think they're thinking they need to shake things up.

I understand why they punish glitches, but if they don't want people to mod or glitch then why not just give the players the simple things that they have been asking for?

I think you are forgetting the name of the game. It's "Grand Theft Auto," not "Anti-theft Task Force." GTA will always be about being the criminal. If they decided to do a GTA style game with a police officer protagonist, it would be a different game.

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

R* could make a deal with G17 Media here to make an LSPDFR dlc.  I personally wouldn't mind paying for a mod, it would provide direct support to the community, and R* could take a percent of the profit so it is worth their time to do very little in respect to our very little community.

It would be a separate game mode where you can get a uniform, standard issue weapons, and vehicle of your choice from the station.  Then patrol with the same if not more functionality than we have with GTA IV.

I know this probably won't happen, but a guy can dream right?

The police aspect of the GTA community is a minority when you look at everyone, the amount of effort that they'd put in just for that would be pointless, they'd still have to put just as much work into securing the rest of the game.

It isn't really a huge amount of effort.  The outfit is already in the game, just make it available for purchase.  As for the cars, the have a list of vehicles that can't be stored, just take them off that list.  They were willing to change the sheriff suv (used to be storable) by adding it to that "blacklist" of vehicles.  There's no point in having a list like that.

Pretty much this. The contents already there for uniforms and vehicles its just behind a unnecessary lock.

We're actually not too interested in that - being a mod affords us freedoms of allowing for imperfection. If it was official, we'd have to release very slowly because we'd have to do stuff like translations, QA and product support.

so on gtaUniverse the mod SAPD;FR was released and im wondering was it you guys or did someone else make this? Heres the link http://gtauniverse.com/index.php?threads/release-sapd-fr-mod-become-a-member-of-the-lspd.215/

It wasn't them. One of the moderators commented on this on another thread. There's going to be more than one police mod for V just like there was two for IV (LCPDFR and Police Pursuit Mod).  <-- Always was an LCPDFR man myself... lol

Will The Guy Who Made ELS

Be able to port it to gta v  ? i hope so or ill rage quit ;)

Doubt that the whole script would be ported but I'm pretty sure that a script allowing more control over the lights in V is well due and probably will happen.
