Interesting, I'm not the only person who really liked World at War, please tell me you found the easter eggs in the Nazi Zombies maps and rocked out to the epic soundtrack too...

Best Games:

Call of Duty 4 (Original Modern Warfare)

Call of Duty: World at War

Grand Theft Auto Series (except for V, story below)

Just Cause (1 and 2)

The Sims 2 (complete pack)

Saints Row (1 and 2)

Far Cry (3 and 4)

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag

Battlefield (BC2, 3 and 4)

Rise of Nations: Gold

Age of Empires (2 and 3)

Bioshock Infinite

Dishonoured

Plenty of "good" games that could make this list, but nothing that impressed me as much as these.

Worst Games:

Call of Duty: Black Ops (This game made me leave the CoD scene)

Saints Row IV (yep, funny, but they went too far and ruined the series)

Hitman Absolution (Used to be a huge fan, this game ran like shit though)

SimCity (The newest one, as per usual EA games are looking more and more like mobile ports, this is why I haven't bothered with TS4)

Why GTA V is not in my "Best Games":

I played the original PS3 version when it first came out, I loved the game a lot. But it was not the best experience with me using an old tv, additionally I never enjoyed GTA multiplayer that much, I played RP servers with Vice City and never did since then really. With GTA V being mostly about it's new Online mode I sort of lost interest after completing the story. When the PC version comes out I'll probably enjoy it again.

Oh boy, I'm not good with formatting, but here we go:

I will also only list PC games here.

Best games I've played (in no particular order):

  • Hearts of Iron III (with expansions) Absolutely AMAZING Grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive.
  • Europa Universalis IV - although I suck at it, this is also a great Grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive.
  • Far Cry 3 - It lags like hell on my computer, but it is really fun
  • Team Fortress 2 - Fun free to play and it is fun to trade hats as well!
  • Half-Life 2 - Great campaign
  • Portal 2 - Great campaign
  • GTA: EFLC - Better than IV in my opinion with a few more vehicles and fun campaign.
  • GTA IV - Great campaign and LCPDFR!
  • GTA V - Large map, decent campaign, nice cop cars and great graphics!
  • Civilization V - Fun game when you have nothing to do for a couple of hours
  • Civilization Beyond Earth - Pretty much the same as above, except that V is a bit better.
  • Euro Truck Sim 2 - The only situation where I find country music enjoyable.
  • SimCity 5 - Fun game where you build cities for stupid people!
  • L.A Noire - Amazing campaign focusing on a detective in 1947 Los Angeles
  • Company of Heroes 2 - Challenging campaign with fun multiplayer
  • Planetary Annihilation - Really fun multiplayer games
  • Arma 2 - Operation Arrowhead - Realistic first person shooter
  • Arma 3 - Even more realistic first person shooter with better graphics
  • Garry's Mod  - RANDOMNESS
  • PAYDAY 2 - Filled with glitches, but is really fun to play with friends!
  • Wargame: Red Dragon - Great realtime strategy game with a challenging campaign, also multiplayer.
  • Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Also a great realtime strategy game with fun multiplayer!
  • War Thunder - Another good free to play MMO, high quality and it is not one of those really bad pay to win games.

Worst games I've played (in no particular order):

  • APB Reloaded - Crappy MMO where its supposed to be cops vs criminals, but cops end up killing each other because of
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts - Really short campaign and full of glitches
  • Japanese visual novels, sure they're full of boobs but still, they're not really games.

Best:

  • Knights of the Old Republic

Hands down, will probably never change my mind. Mass Effect comes close, but not enough.

Worst:

None, really. There's been bad ones, but none that I'd say was really really crappy. X-Rebirth maybe.

((I didn't see a limit to how many should be in the list, needless to say. I think i might have gotten a little carried away.) :teehee:

Best Games:

Zelda Ocarina Of Time (Such a huge staple of my child hood memories, and still enjoyable enough that I play it to this day.)

Unreal Tournament & 2004, (One of the best shooters ever made.)

Starsiege: Tribes 1 & 2 (A Fast Paced FPS with Jetpacks, what's not to love.)

Quake 3 Arena (The Daddy of all arena shooters.)

Starwars: Kotor 1 & 2 (A great game in its own right, the game mechanics are what should really be aknowledged. Most people credit Mass Effect for really popularizing RPGs, This game is where Mass Effect got its Roots.)

Mass Effect Trilogy (Such an amazing story and I love how no two play throughs are exactly the same. Choices made from the first game have consquences in the last.)

Gears of War Trilogy (The multiplayer community really made this series great for me. Loved how competitive everyone was, combined with the squad based game play it was intense.)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (The environment and sound really made this game better than it should have been. Something about hiding in a hut and then having the walls cave in ontop of you with little to no warning was always a heart racing experience.)

Saints Row 1,2,3 (I played Saints Row way before i ever touched GTA. I loved the attitude the game had and the range of diversions. Dumping a septic trunk on innocent bystanders, why not. Getting wasted and shooting up the place, Hellz yea!.)

Elder Scrolls Skyrim (I've played most Elder scrolls, but it wasn't untill Skyrim that I actually fell in love with the game. The amount of gameplay is ridiculous and the quality of the game didn't suffer for it neither. + Killing Dragons is always a good time.)

Batman: Arkham Series (I'm BATMAN!, A batman video game that's not just a cheesy knock off.)

Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2005) (The last truly good NFS game. It was original and it had a great balance of races/cop pursuits and handling.)

Need For Speed: Underground (NFS in the open world, Street racing galore and customization makes this game something really special not just for the series but the genre as a whole.)

Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition (Did a great job of filling the void after NFS Underground 2, and you could race in Atlanta)

Mario 64 (Mario 64 isn't just a good game, it's a technological marvel that inspired a generation of open world games and redifined how camera control should be handled.)

Starfox 64 (I'm not aware of another starfox game since that's been able to properly pay tribute to what this series started off as.)

Fallout 3 (This game put Fallout back on the map, despite the gameplay being riddled with bugs it was a great enough experience to win it several awards.)

Guild Wars 1 (The competitive MMO, was free 2 play and offered tons of content and variety in builds.)

Super Smash Bros Series (The fighting game anyone can play and not feel trivialized in doing so.)

Borderlands 2 (Great sense of humor, guns galore, and a high replay value for a FPS game that's heavily story based.)

GTA V (This is the GTA that made me pay attention to the series, the attention to detail is phenomenal, and the story was just awesome.)

Halo 1,2, Reach, ODST (The series that proved FPS games could not just hold their own on consoles, but excel.)

Gran Turismo 1,2,3,4 (Great racing sim that had actual "endurance" races.)

Forza 4,5 (Has taken the flag from Gran Turismo for best racing simulator. High attention to details, more customization, better sense of scale and difficulty.)

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (I don't even like Assassin's Creed games, I spent 90% of my time in Black Flag just sailing the open seas getting into trouble... Being a pirate is AWESOME.)

X2 The Threat, X3 The Reunion, X3 Terran Conflict (I love Space Ships, and this game featured a "Working" Economy that constantly changed based on supply and demand. Starting with next to nothing and buiding up to a space empire was always a rewarding ((And very time consuming)) buisness.)

Red Dead Redemption (Who thought you could take the gameplay mechanics of GTA throw them into the wild west and have not just a good game, but an amazing game.I sure didn't but even if I had this game would have blown away any expectations I had for it. Probably my favorite Rockstar game.)

Worst Games

Duke Nukem Forever (Went through development hell, when it finally does get released it looked and played like an unfinished product too. Which is really sad because the humor was there but the gameplay its self was so horrid i couldn't enjoy a single moment of trying to play a Duke Nukem game.)

Saints Row 4 (The humor and new diversions are the only thing that save this game. It's a expansion that was released as a full product and continuation of the main series, like 80% of its assets are ripped straight from SR3, even then not all of the gameplay of SR3 is included in SR4 you lose the depth of the "Wanted" system. ((There's one bar that represents the aliens and their response to each wanted level is horrible in comparison to former games. You get more and more grunts thrown at you untill a warden shows up, kill the warden and you're clear of all wanted levels... In a matter of minutes you go from unwanted, most wanted, to unwanted again. There's no dragged out fights/pursuits across the city, no road blocks. just more aliens with rifles)) It does a great job of disregarding its legacy and decides it wants to be a Crackdown meets Matrix rip off. Being a super powered A-hole is fun for about the first 5 minutes then it gets really gimmicky and combat becomes stale/boring.)

Unreal Tournament 3 (Took an amazing FPS series and bastardized it by trying to cash in on current gaming trends. The characters all look like they came out of Gears, They tried to make an actual "Campaign" that's a horrible representation of what the former games really were. There's no need to flush out this game by explaining the Uspawners and trying to make it relevant by saying they went from being used in Media fights to a war asset, it was absurd. They should have flushed out the Arena experience and really delved into building team rosters, competing in numerous seasons and practicing with your team to build skills/teamwork.)

Gears of War Judgement (The good thing was the stability in the multiplayer coding. What ruined the series was all the gameplay chanes, from squad based shooter, to FFA. Weapon Balance changes, the atmosphere was way out of sync with the rest of the series. Went from Dark and Dreary to bright and overly saturated. Perhaps the biggest sin was the exclusion of locust in mutiplayer for the first time. It broke the immersion by leaps and bounds seeing gears kill other gears... and I'd played the same locust for 3 games up untill this point.)

GTA IV (I know blasphemy to even say such things on a GTA 4 Fan site... My confession is I'm a fool for campaigns, I love them and if a game has them they should be done well so as to be a good representation of the product. I absolutely hate the story in GTA IV I find the characters, voice acting, and dialogue to all be atrocious. The reason I still play GTA 4 is because I was let down by SR4, and having played and enjoyed GTA 5 so much I figured I'd give the earlier games including GTA 4 another chance.  Don't get me wrong from a gameplay perspective the attention to all the little details is amazing, this is without a doubt one of the most well flushed out and alive cities ever created in a game. Niko & Friends just really kill the series for me as I cringe every time they speak.

  • Management Team

Best in no particular order

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator X
  • OMSI 2 (OMSI was was pretty much the same but much less stable)
  • Euro Truck Simulator 2
  • Mass Effect series (a lot of people hate on the series or on one specific game but I enjoyed all of them)
  • Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (highly recommend if you enjoy chopping the heads off of Orcs)
  • LA Noire
  • GTA series
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (say what you will about it being shit compared to the rest of the series, but this is the only one I've played and I enjoyed it)
  • Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead
  • The Stanley Parable
  • The Wolf Among Us
  • Elite: Dangerous
  • SWAT 4
  • Fallout 3 and New Vegas
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (mainly for the nudity, but the rest of the game is good too...)

Worst:

  • Every shitty "simulator" game that seems like no effort was put into its development at all.

I wrote out a rather lengthy reply to this earlier but the website broke when I clicked "Post" and I lost everything, so I'll keep this one short. These are PC games only as I have way too many games on PS2 and Xbox 360.

Best:

War Thunder - A tad grindy at times, loads of fun though. Ground Forces is a blast!

Battlefield 3 - Clocked over 2000 hours.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Haven't played it much as I can't reinstall the bloody game. From what I played of the campaign it was fun though.

ArmA 2/3 - You can virtually do anything with these titles. The modification possibilities are endless.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X - You can fly a 747 into your own house.

Grand Theft Auto IV - Mods.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 - You drive where-ever you want in Oahu and Ibiza and there are plenty of mods.

Far Cry 3 - You can run over a crocodile with a jet-ski.

Just Cause 2 - Grapple two planes together. Why? Just cause.

Elite: Dangerous - Do whatever the hell you want... in space!

Command & Conquer Red Alert II: Yuri's Revenge - I had a lot of fun with this when I was younger and I still do now.

Rewrite - The only visual novel I've bothered to play more than half an hour of. Hopefully it'll have an anime adaption.

Worst:

Rogue Warrior - Worst game I have ever played, picked it up really, really cheap though so not really complaining much. I would if I'd paid full price though.

Panzer Elite Action - Went into it expecting cool tank gameplay, was met with disappointment.

Assassins Creed Revelations - Awful port, not a great AC game to begin with.

Watch Dogs - It failed miserably.

Battlefield 4 - No, this isn't a bad game at-all. It just plays nothing like Battlefield 3 (and the SCAR-L isn't in it) therefore I don't enjoy it as much.

Best Games:

Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 - favorite game of my childhood, next to the second one on this list

Mercenaries - Best PS2 game, also made by Pandemic (who made SWBF)

Battlefield 3/4 - Never had issues with these, some of my favorite shooters

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - My favorite shooter of all time. That Vietnam DLC was the shit

GTA IV/V - 'nuff said

Red Orchestra - Started playing this when I got my PC. Man it's fun

Halo (particularly 3, 4 and ODST) - A lot of my childhood was having friends come over and play this game.

COD 4/Modern Warfare 2 - The games that got me into playing video games really

COD World At War - I think this didn't deserve the hate it got. One of my favorite CODs really.

LA Noire - A detective...in the 40s!? Sign me up!

Forza Horizon and Forza 4 - My fav. racing games.

Need For Speed Most Wanted (the original one) - My favorite racing game of all time. Best NFS, period.

Star Wars: Rouge Squadron - One of the best SW games of all time!

Tomb Raider (Reboot) - Really fun, too bad I suck at puzzle games.

Worst:

Sleeping Dogs - just didn't like many of the mechanics

Saints Row 3 - humor was funny, but I prefer GTA

Midnight Club LA - Just didn't do it for me like the original ones

Mass Effect - Had tons of issues and I didn't care for the game at all.

I'm sure there's a lot that I didn't like, but I can't remember anymore. I just remember playing some really shitty games time to time.

I think you all got a little carried away LOL. Every simulator is shit apart from EURO TRUCK, X PLANE M, TRAIN SIM and MS FLIGHT

Technically you have like 8 more things listed than I do. I just explained my reasonsing.

Also that's a really strong opinion, every other simulator isn't trash. To be fair Euro Truck is just the latest in a series of Semi-Truck Simulators produced by SCS Software several of which were wothy of honorable mention at the time of their relase. Simple fact is for all Euro Truck does right, they still didn't utilize all the good feature SCS has implemented in their previous games. To be completely honest I've spent 3 hours in Euro Truck 2 and I don't see why people really like it that much. Seems almost soul-less and up to this point owning other trucks hasn't been a rewarding/engaging experience, just more numbers being tallied up for you to examine in between runs... Hopefully I'm missing something or more gets unlocked as you play.

The X games I listed are very worthy space flight simulators with allot of depth. Sure their combat could have been more fine tuned, and their releases since X2 have become a little too streamlined and user friendly, but it doesn't negate the complexity of their working economy, variety in combat tactics/options (You can be a pirate stealing other space ships, or an enforcer hunting for people smuggling drugs or people in their cargo... Earn enough money you can get your own capital ship and fleet.)

The sims is a long standing and widely aknowledged simulation series. While at the surface it honestly seems like playing a doll house they've put allot of time and effort into making their world enjoyable to tinker around in and invest in starting new communities, helping sims live or ruin their lives. (I've tortured one too many sims. )

I could go on, but I'll save us both from having to read another mountain of text...

Best:

Mercenaries: Play Ground of Destruction:

Lets just say best game I've ever played on the original Xbox system. Ever. You kicked ass and could do almost anything, destroy any building, nuke a town, work for the US, Chinese, South Koreans, or the Russian Mafia, there were targets to capture or kill, money crates, weapon crates, FREE ROAM, you can explore anywhere and not be loyal to anyone. and just kick major ass no matter what playing style, and there was two different worlds you can explore from.

Mercenaries 2: This was a lower version of the first one, but still packed a great punch to anything. You could do almost everything you could in the first, with just more firepower. Excellent game series, unfortunately Pandemic shut down :(

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Pandemic mad this game, I can't explain how awesome this game was, spanned across every Star Wars (ALL 6) plus missions or just random battles you could be a clone or a jedi, or even be a droid or a sith. I love this game alittle more then the first to :X.

Halo 2: Some people WILL* disagree, everyone has their opinion, this was the best no matter if you played original on Xbox or the Xbox One Remastered version.

Battlefield Bad Company I: Loved more then COD.

Battlefield Bad Company II: Best Vietnam add-on then any game ever made hands down I don't care who you are.

Battlefield 1943: Best WWII game next to COD WAW.

Battlefield 3: Never loved an campaign and multiplayer more then this one, was really my favorite war game, after COD released their BO2 and on....

Battlefield 4: Upgraded graphics, with weapon physics and no hacking and you got yourself one of the most memorable games.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: I loved all the Modern Warfares, but this one stuck out the most, never wanted to play another Multiplayer game, even though it started to get hacked.

Metro 2033: Looking for apocalyptic craziness and absolute realism, only one difference, Russian Style, yes it is a russian themed game but you would never think it was this good and scary, at some points, first time playing needed my lights on....at 12 during the day.

Metro: Last Light: The sequal to an amazing first one.

Saints Row 2: Before maturity there was this, always one of my favorites.

Grand Theft Auto III: First GTA I've ever played, got hooked from there <3.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City: Another amazing GTA, but miami vice style.

Grand Theft Auto SA: Best installment ever, even out ranked GTA V in my book(on some standards)never seen a more versatile game. Literally do almost anything.

Grand Theft Auto IV (Lcpdfr only):  Without GTA IV we wouldnt have LCPDFR, and let me tell you, I thank rock star for it, even though its demand and crash prone(alot) I will give it credit for bringing together a great group of people who all love to do the same thing. I thank it for it.

Grand Theft Auto V:   Better then GTA IV and I cant wait to see what it has instore for the future of policing mods, and scripts, amen. Upgraded matching for online play brings a whole new sense of realism. Happy to play it and be here for it.

Command & Conquer: The First Decade (Yuri's Revenge, Generals):  Like blowing up people and just seeing total destruction, play it, can't explain enough.

Fallout New Vegas:   Never seen more accurateish game of what might life be like if the real thing ever happened, just wish they added a bike or something, lol.

Mafia II:   Want to feel like you belong to a group of criminals, here you are.

Worst:

Dead Rising

Crack Down

Call of Duty Ghosts

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

Call of Duty Black Ops 2
