ItzAwfulWaffle got a reaction from DivineHustle in Are you a evolutionist or creationist? In a nutshell that's why I personally don't believe in going to church, nor have I ever paid attention to the pope. Any time money is involved there's going to be corruption, churches that broadcast on TV and/or make serious bank just rub me the wrong way... (It seems hyprocritical if you pay attention to the word as written.) However I do think that the mass hatred that allot of atheist show towards religion is unjust, most of the time they want to use Warmongering extremist as a reason against religion. Which is just illogical. If we were to crucify everything that's ever been used as an excuse to get away with murder we'd be in a real mess, and religion wouldn't be the biggest scape goat.
Your very words now. Forward-looking individual who believes in the progress of man... Basically that's a polite way of saying any rational human would believe in evolution.
Which I would have just left be had it not immediately and for no good reason been followed by. "If you still believe in invisible Sky-god friends then I suggest you re-evaluate your life."
... That's straight forward, and kind of hard to miss-interpret. Skygod friends = God and re-evaluating your life. Well yea you said it. I don't see how that can be taken any other way.
What you just said is "If your rational and don't have imaginary friends you will believe in Evolution, and if you do believe in imaginary friends you might want to seek a shrink."
I'm not stupid and seeing how you went through so much effort to nicely word your intentions I'm not going to pretend like you are either.
So how is that not 1.) Insulting and 2.) No where does that post indicate the reason you're opposed to religion is because a few bad examples out of a few billion has distorted your idea of what religion really is..
A few billion or something like 2/7 of the world's population isn't irrational... It's a widely held belief that's been documented and highly studied for a few thousand years now. In all that time no one can either dis-credit it or prove that it is all completely real. That's why its founded on belief, what you can say and its not really debatable is that the important historical events that are depicted in the bible (I'm not talking walking on water, and miracles, but actual history.) all happened.
What I really hate about this thread is the way the OP led this into Religion vs Atheists who's view is right? There's no middle ground here, even though as indicated in this thread more religious minded people believe in the possibility of Evolution then you might think. Science and Religion aren't exclusive things, you can believe in both, anyone who says otherwise is foolish, and i won't even have that winded debate here. There should have been a third option.

ItzAwfulWaffle got a reaction from DivineHustle in More frisking outcomesThis might be slightly off topic, but I'll be completely honest I get torn on what to do everytime weapon pops up because depending on what kind of weapon there's different laws that regulate it.
A gun isn't always illegal, he could have a permit for it... or he could be a convicted felon carrying a fully auto rifle.
Knives are perfectly legal to own, bout the only reason I'd have to prosecute/arrest someone for having it, is if it matches a nearby crime.
(Women gets mugged by knife, find suspect a block down running with a knife.)
So more clearity on the weapon or information regarding the suspect would be nice there.
I think that something similliar for drugs would be cool. How much and what type. Is it just personal consuption or did we nail a dealer.
So I guess I'm saying more information on the outcomes could lead to a better sense of variety.

ItzAwfulWaffle reacted to Black Jesus in More frisking outcomesI've always wanted more results from frisking a suspect in lcpdfr. It seems like there are only like 3 different outcomes, stolen credit cards, a weapon, and illegal drugs. I feel like there should be more things you can find on the suspect, for example: Stolen IDs, Fake IDs, Stolen Property, Drug Paraphernalia, Digital Scale, Large Amounts of Money, etc. And more specific things for finding a weapon or illegal drugs: Handgun, Knife, Sawed Off Shotgun, Knife, Blunt Weapon. Oh and maybe add the possibility of finding more than just one thing. Would this be hard to implement into lcpdfr? I don't know coding and all that s*** but isn't just randomly generated text? What do you fellas think?

ItzAwfulWaffle got a reaction from DivineHustle in Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?Fear of dividing a community isn't really grounds for removing a forum, obviously if they're going to get that upset over a subject openly debated on the internet then they were never exactly going to be best of friends to begin with. Aslo the exact opposite isn't being expressed in the forums. A well thought out and carried debate can be a quick way to bring certain types of people together, you don't have to agree with someone's opinion to respect it.
At the end of the day everyone knows what they're in for when they click on a forum called politics/society it's not like they're being ambushed. They can ignore the threads very easily. If the forum has to be removed then at the end of the day it speaks volumes about the entire community and what the moderators/staff think of them.. That they can't be left alone without turning everything into an immaturely thought out flame war.
That's absolutely an unacceptable response and it doesn't matter where it's posted it shouldn't be tolerated at all. That one line speeks volumes about the poster's mind set and obvious in ability to operate in an environment where people don't see eye to eye with them. It should be considered 'hate speech' and disciplined accordingly. I can't think of any other forums/community I've been apart of that would allow such blatant personal attacks.
-
Well I did structure the post by putting the = signs to separate different subjects, so that is where I used structure and organization. I also bolded and underlined the headlines with a small description under it, that's where I made it easy to read. If I understand what you're trying to say correctly, you're saying that I need to be more elaborate on my topic posting.
That's like saying that perhaps people wouldn't get beat up if they stopped walking through alleys. They should be able to walk through an alley without fear or a concern of getting beaten. Same with posting a debatable topic. I should be able to post a topic without it derailing and becoming aggressive and negative.

No one is telling you to use the 4K textures on your cars if you are running into memory problems. They are there as an option.
Gladly. 4096x4096: 2048x2048 ("Standard Resolution"): 4096x4096: 2048x2048: Another example from a previous skin I released: -

ItzAwfulWaffle got a reaction from Monarchco in Please sign this petitionYou're being extreme. It's the role of a parent to not just set a good example, but to also guide their children towards a successful and prosperous life. Or to put it bluntly to attempt to define their child's future for the best/better outcome. While the topic of gay/les/trans is much more tolerant today, anyone who is this way whether by choice or birth (Not going to argue the topic here.) is going to have a rougher time in life, just due to the fact it's so much against societal norms, and there's a good amount of hatred/distaste from the general public. So why would a parent want that for their child, for them to go through life with a permanent disadvantage just because of their life choices? Especially when some people strongly believe with all their might that it's a choice that's been made by their child due to their environment. If a kid goes goes through a stage in their life where they start making poor life choices, Stealing, Fighting, Drug Use, and a parent used similar methods to address the situation (Isolating them from their peers, forced counseling, hell even whipping their ass on a regular basis.) this wouldn't be an issue now would it.(Hell they made a “Reality” TV Series where they put kids in jail for 24 hours and use scare tactics, real psychological manipulation to fix the problem.) But because we're talking about civil rights for a minority group everything has to be overly exaggerated and cross examined.
At the end of the day it's the parent's choice to decide what's right for their children based on their beliefs.

My first GTA 4 skin very loosely based off Dredd.
-
ItzAwfulWaffle got a reaction from Murphy in Texturing CarsThat makes sense. I appreciate the timely response.
I haven't 'modded' anything in years so I wanted to start with something small, textures are right up my alley cause I know how to use Photoshop pretty well. I suck at actual 3D modeling so I tend to avoid it at all costs.

ItzAwfulWaffle reacted to Mikofiticus in FRAPS and youIn my opinion, FRAPS records in the best frames and quality, but it "frame rapes" my games. I usually get 60 frames not recording, but when I kick it on, I'm lucky that I get 25-30. Makes it really hard to play with stuttering. But, if you've got a good PC, it shouldn't be an issue. I used to use it all the time in my videos, especially my multiplayer ones.
I'm not a fan of OBS, even though it is free. It takes too long to get a good setup with it (my videos still aren't at a decent quality after ditching FRAPS for awhile). I just downloaded shadowplay last week, but I've been too busy to record. I'm gonna give that a try next.

Frankly, I don't care.
Even if TES:O went completely free to play on PC with no purchase or subscription required, plus all the exclusive content also included for free, I still wouldn't play it.
Why?
Because it'd still be a completely terrible game, it'll just be for free.
I've recently started playing though Skyrim again, I'll just continue playing that instead, much better experience.

ItzAwfulWaffle reacted to LukeD in BEST AND WORST GAMESInteresting, I'm not the only person who really liked World at War, please tell me you found the easter eggs in the Nazi Zombies maps and rocked out to the epic soundtrack too...
Best Games:
Call of Duty 4 (Original Modern Warfare)
Call of Duty: World at War
Grand Theft Auto Series (except for V, story below)
Just Cause (1 and 2)
The Sims 2 (complete pack)
Saints Row (1 and 2)
Far Cry (3 and 4)
Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
Battlefield (BC2, 3 and 4)
Rise of Nations: Gold
Age of Empires (2 and 3)
Bioshock Infinite
Dishonoured
Plenty of "good" games that could make this list, but nothing that impressed me as much as these.
Worst Games:
Call of Duty: Black Ops (This game made me leave the CoD scene)
Saints Row IV (yep, funny, but they went too far and ruined the series)
Hitman Absolution (Used to be a huge fan, this game ran like shit though)
SimCity (The newest one, as per usual EA games are looking more and more like mobile ports, this is why I haven't bothered with TS4)
Why GTA V is not in my "Best Games":
I played the original PS3 version when it first came out, I loved the game a lot. But it was not the best experience with me using an old tv, additionally I never enjoyed GTA multiplayer that much, I played RP servers with Vice City and never did since then really. With GTA V being mostly about it's new Online mode I sort of lost interest after completing the story. When the PC version comes out I'll probably enjoy it again.

ItzAwfulWaffle got a reaction from lovkal in BEST AND WORST GAMES((I didn't see a limit to how many should be in the list, needless to say. I think i might have gotten a little carried away.)
Best Games:
Zelda Ocarina Of Time (Such a huge staple of my child hood memories, and still enjoyable enough that I play it to this day.)
Unreal Tournament & 2004, (One of the best shooters ever made.)
Starsiege: Tribes 1 & 2 (A Fast Paced FPS with Jetpacks, what's not to love.)
Quake 3 Arena (The Daddy of all arena shooters.)
Starwars: Kotor 1 & 2 (A great game in its own right, the game mechanics are what should really be aknowledged. Most people credit Mass Effect for really popularizing RPGs, This game is where Mass Effect got its Roots.)
Mass Effect Trilogy (Such an amazing story and I love how no two play throughs are exactly the same. Choices made from the first game have consquences in the last.)
Gears of War Trilogy (The multiplayer community really made this series great for me. Loved how competitive everyone was, combined with the squad based game play it was intense.)
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (The environment and sound really made this game better than it should have been. Something about hiding in a hut and then having the walls cave in ontop of you with little to no warning was always a heart racing experience.)
Saints Row 1,2,3 (I played Saints Row way before i ever touched GTA. I loved the attitude the game had and the range of diversions. Dumping a septic trunk on innocent bystanders, why not. Getting wasted and shooting up the place, Hellz yea!.)
Elder Scrolls Skyrim (I've played most Elder scrolls, but it wasn't untill Skyrim that I actually fell in love with the game. The amount of gameplay is ridiculous and the quality of the game didn't suffer for it neither. + Killing Dragons is always a good time.)
Batman: Arkham Series (I'm BATMAN!, A batman video game that's not just a cheesy knock off.)
Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2005) (The last truly good NFS game. It was original and it had a great balance of races/cop pursuits and handling.)
Need For Speed: Underground (NFS in the open world, Street racing galore and customization makes this game something really special not just for the series but the genre as a whole.)
Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition (Did a great job of filling the void after NFS Underground 2, and you could race in Atlanta)
Mario 64 (Mario 64 isn't just a good game, it's a technological marvel that inspired a generation of open world games and redifined how camera control should be handled.)
Starfox 64 (I'm not aware of another starfox game since that's been able to properly pay tribute to what this series started off as.)
Fallout 3 (This game put Fallout back on the map, despite the gameplay being riddled with bugs it was a great enough experience to win it several awards.)
Guild Wars 1 (The competitive MMO, was free 2 play and offered tons of content and variety in builds.)
Super Smash Bros Series (The fighting game anyone can play and not feel trivialized in doing so.)
Borderlands 2 (Great sense of humor, guns galore, and a high replay value for a FPS game that's heavily story based.)
GTA V (This is the GTA that made me pay attention to the series, the attention to detail is phenomenal, and the story was just awesome.)
Halo 1,2, Reach, ODST (The series that proved FPS games could not just hold their own on consoles, but excel.)
Gran Turismo 1,2,3,4 (Great racing sim that had actual "endurance" races.)
Forza 4,5 (Has taken the flag from Gran Turismo for best racing simulator. High attention to details, more customization, better sense of scale and difficulty.)
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (I don't even like Assassin's Creed games, I spent 90% of my time in Black Flag just sailing the open seas getting into trouble... Being a pirate is AWESOME.)
X2 The Threat, X3 The Reunion, X3 Terran Conflict (I love Space Ships, and this game featured a "Working" Economy that constantly changed based on supply and demand. Starting with next to nothing and buiding up to a space empire was always a rewarding ((And very time consuming)) buisness.)
Red Dead Redemption (Who thought you could take the gameplay mechanics of GTA throw them into the wild west and have not just a good game, but an amazing game.I sure didn't but even if I had this game would have blown away any expectations I had for it. Probably my favorite Rockstar game.)
Worst Games
Duke Nukem Forever (Went through development hell, when it finally does get released it looked and played like an unfinished product too. Which is really sad because the humor was there but the gameplay its self was so horrid i couldn't enjoy a single moment of trying to play a Duke Nukem game.)
Saints Row 4 (The humor and new diversions are the only thing that save this game. It's a expansion that was released as a full product and continuation of the main series, like 80% of its assets are ripped straight from SR3, even then not all of the gameplay of SR3 is included in SR4 you lose the depth of the "Wanted" system. ((There's one bar that represents the aliens and their response to each wanted level is horrible in comparison to former games. You get more and more grunts thrown at you untill a warden shows up, kill the warden and you're clear of all wanted levels... In a matter of minutes you go from unwanted, most wanted, to unwanted again. There's no dragged out fights/pursuits across the city, no road blocks. just more aliens with rifles)) It does a great job of disregarding its legacy and decides it wants to be a Crackdown meets Matrix rip off. Being a super powered A-hole is fun for about the first 5 minutes then it gets really gimmicky and combat becomes stale/boring.)
Unreal Tournament 3 (Took an amazing FPS series and bastardized it by trying to cash in on current gaming trends. The characters all look like they came out of Gears, They tried to make an actual "Campaign" that's a horrible representation of what the former games really were. There's no need to flush out this game by explaining the Uspawners and trying to make it relevant by saying they went from being used in Media fights to a war asset, it was absurd. They should have flushed out the Arena experience and really delved into building team rosters, competing in numerous seasons and practicing with your team to build skills/teamwork.)
Gears of War Judgement (The good thing was the stability in the multiplayer coding. What ruined the series was all the gameplay chanes, from squad based shooter, to FFA. Weapon Balance changes, the atmosphere was way out of sync with the rest of the series. Went from Dark and Dreary to bright and overly saturated. Perhaps the biggest sin was the exclusion of locust in mutiplayer for the first time. It broke the immersion by leaps and bounds seeing gears kill other gears... and I'd played the same locust for 3 games up untill this point.)
GTA IV (I know blasphemy to even say such things on a GTA 4 Fan site... My confession is I'm a fool for campaigns, I love them and if a game has them they should be done well so as to be a good representation of the product. I absolutely hate the story in GTA IV I find the characters, voice acting, and dialogue to all be atrocious. The reason I still play GTA 4 is because I was let down by SR4, and having played and enjoyed GTA 5 so much I figured I'd give the earlier games including GTA 4 another chance. Don't get me wrong from a gameplay perspective the attention to all the little details is amazing, this is without a doubt one of the most well flushed out and alive cities ever created in a game. Niko & Friends just really kill the series for me as I cringe every time they speak.

ItzAwfulWaffle reacted to Will in What CPU/Memory usage is ok for GTA IV?Download Speedfan (should be easy to find) and keep that on your second monitor as well, so you can monitor the temperatures. The CPU and RAM usage is fine at those percentages.
