If not already said.   LESS CRASHING..

I think what we have now just improved and better furthered with more functions/animations.

The ability to chose what you want to do each patrol such as be a normal patrol officer, SWAT team member, pilot, detective, federal agent with each choice affecting the calls you get and the assignments you receive throughout your day as a cop.

Assignments; receiving an assignment from dispatch to say lookout for a dangerous subject wanted for questioning, bring in a witness to the station, things that add realism to the game.

Seeing as there are better locations and more buildings that can be entered, more disturbance calls (like loud music, parties, protesting, etc) would be better as real life officers get these calls many times per day.

If at all possible an investigation side to the game would be wonderful, like where you play as a detective and have to go and hunt down certain criminals after having an investigation and talking to potential witnesses/suspects.

WARRANTS! All that needs to be said is how great would it be to kick some bad guy's door in and throw a warrant in his face before tearing his life upside down searching for guns, drugs, large sums of cash and other contraband.

This may be a bit of a stretch but maybe a call where you have to escort high value VIPs (such as prisoners for trials, witnesses, politicians, celebrities and so on) from the airport to a certain location and sometimes you may be ambushed and others you may get through fine that way you don't always know an ambush is coming and it changes things up a bit.

Maybe a part where you can be flying around in the LSPD Airship helping fellow officers chase suspects in pursuits, drop SWAT teams on the roof of a building so they can infiltrate it.

Be able to setup checkpoints and search peoples cars for things.

Have major incidents like bank robberies, shoot outs, home invasions, silent alarms and so on. Just not have them every single call out, maybe once or twice every 15 calls that get generated?

Also if you get a prank call, change it so you don't just get out of your car and then say the area is clear actually make us check the alleyways, inside of buildings and the rest of the immediate area.

I think we are jumping the gun a bit here but why not....

I'd like to have different callouts for each area. some examples:

-Large scale shootouts, drug related incidents, drivebys and assaults in lower LS (grove street and such)

-Stalkers and paparazzi and such in Vinewood and Rockford hills

-Minor search and rescue operations and hunting related callouts around Paleto bay and the Chiliad Mountain Wilderness.

-Random firearm discharge, drug deals, domestic violence, random drunk people and reckless driving around Sandy Shores

And of course some normal generic stuff thrown in to mix it up a bit. These would be cool.

The k-9 units is the most awesome! Just reskin or create a german shepherd dog model, create some scripts to make dog enter in van/police transporter (like from a mission where chop is taken at the back of a van) and walk with the police, then finished!

I had some of the same ideas in mind. Hopefully they look over these ideas.

Keep in mind, we have no idea how easy/hard GTA V will be to mod. As I understand it, LCPDFR generally operates somewhat abstracted from the actual game, which would tend to make it easier to transfer once scripting on V is worked out, but we have no clue what scripting on V will be like, and it'll be a while before anyone can *think* of transferring the mod.

I think what we have now just improved and better furthered with more functions/animations.

I think with GTA V the way we would do it would be to have 3 locations where you can go on duty.  Firstly, there would be the LSPD station in Mission Row (the enterable one), where you would (hopefully) be able to use the locker room and armory there to go on duty as an LSPD officer.

In addition to that, we'd probably have checkpoints outside the LScSD stations in Sandy Shores and Paleto Bay where you would be able to go on duty as a sheriff.  I doubt that we'd be able to do much interior wise for them however.

Initially I don't think it would make sense to weigh ourselves down by digging too deep into having different classes or roles, like pilots and detectives as this would make getting the core of the mod working much harder.  Instead, it would be much like LCPDFR is where you can be a bit of everything.  At least in 'LSPDFR' though, we'd have the distinction (even if it is small) between the LSPD and the sheriffs.

With the improved animations I think you should be able to tackle people on the ground and do a more realistic arrest for suspects who are resisting.

Oh, and felony traffic stops would be soo awesome!

Does GTA V let the player tackle people or have proper animations for it?  If it does, that hopefully would be quite easy.  Felony stops on the other hand are really nasty!  Traffic in the game complicates them a lot.  It'd be really nice to include something like them though.

I just want to see K9 patrols with the better animations for animals!

I would hope that this should be possible.

This is another good idea.  For the first time we would get to deal with rural crime, which sounds quite exciting.

Of course, please don't be under the illusion that anything is guaranteed for GTA V.  For all we know, it might be a nightmare to mod.

''A quiet man, is a thinking man. A quiet woman, is usually mad.''

I've been thinking of a few.

1.We could have a hostage situation where a sniper ( you or AI )could pop the perp in the melon

2.Proper bank robberies ( could lead to the above )

3.Pile up on the highway

4.Burglaries ( or stalkers up in Vinewood )

4.Shopliftings

5.Chop shop raids

6.Truck high jackings ( like the first Fast and Furious film )

7.Gang related shootouts ( Grove St V's Ballers )

8. Riots ( cos who doesn't love a good riot )

plus all the other good stuff from LCPD:FR

Hopefully it will be as easy to mod GTA V as it will now in GTA IV.

Here are a few things o would like to see.

*The ability to handcuff people before searching them

*The ability to do beach patrols with beach related crime like Underage Drinkers, illegal fires, and fights.

*The ability to have high speed chases along the freeway

*The ability to discontinue a chase as the LSPD and let the LSSD take the chase.

*The ability to do a helicopter patrol without crashing.

*The ability to plan and form raids.

and some other small ideas that were already listed.

A cop is no good if he refuses to lay down his life for the safety of others

i think V will be about the same difficulty as IV to mod, seeing as its just a more advanced version of the same engine, and people have already coded trainers and scripts for the console versions already (cars firing missiles etc.) there are tons of Mod videos on youtube already.

animations-wise, has anyone dug in the .Anim files for V for any cop animations yet? it would be amazing to have a Tackle to the ground animation for cops to chase guys.

My feature wishlist

everything we already have in LCPDFR ported over

actual ingame animations for grabbing suspects and placing them in cars (they exist, they can be seen in random events ingame)

tackle and ground arrest moves (hopefully?).

pilotable Helicopter cam for chases ( the coding for this exists, you use it in one of the story missions)

rappeling from choppers as SWAT or Evac in the mountains (i think this could probably be done, rappeling code for players exist)

Park patrol as Forest Rangers callouts

Highway patrol pursuits.

calling for spikestrips, the same way that Roadblocks are called in IV

maybe modifying the Mission Row station so we can actually access the rooms seen through door windows?

being able to select vehicles from the Impound Garage in mission row (this could be where you select your sqaud car/partner)

being able to get Body armor and shotguns from car trunk/shotgun racks in car doors (the AI cops do this)

traffic that doesn't make a pileup on the freeway when you pull someone over like they do in IV (roads and Traffic AI are bigger/better in V so this shouldnt be a problem)

being able to interact with civilians using Y/N or arrows on Xbox controller, like in the main game.

1#: The ability to have Air Support deploy a N.O.o.S.E team via-fast rope by dropping a flare at any given location when ground units can't reach you.

2#: Being able to switch between your dutybelt and Police vest inside the station's armoury (The dutybelt and the Bulletproof vest are both separate accs)

3#: Choosing load out at the armoury. (Restricted to Police weaponry and to one weapon of each class )

4#: Convenience store robberies

5#: Terrorist activity related crimes and other things such as trains derrailing into the highway.

@Sam

You can always use the clean FIB HQ, plus the Paleto Bay Station has an unloaded interior which could be triggered (If they didn't delete it).
