    I don't know what features I'd want. The only thing I'm excited about is Highway / Traffic patrol Miles and Miles of highway, the AI actually driving realistic and fast, patrol those back country road

Just a heads up for those who don't already know, you can already tackle people to the ground.....kinda.

 

As you are walking or running press jump then circle and you will dive to the ground. If you play on xbox just press each attack button and see what happens

Yes, the k-9 is a highly possible feature, since there are proper animations for biting people, proper dog walking/run etc. animations, and get the animation from a mission where chop entered and exited at the back of a van, or use the original, where dogs could seat at the front seat of a car (Like what Franklin do),  make a model of real canine dog unit with k-9 texture, then make scripting to command your k-9 and done. The rope for the dog to walk with may be hard, I think there is already in GTA V?

I'm with you there, however I think there is actually a Huskie model in the game. I feel that it looks more like a German Shepherd and thus more realistic. Thoughts?

Does anyone know that in a mission in GTA V where the back/trunk of the Park Ranger Granger could be seated? Making it 6-8 seats to seat with? Means you can arrest more suspects and have more police with you on your patrol!

I agree to almost everything that's already been said with the addition that the stun gun should be non-lethal like in the Civil Border Patrol missions and the main mission 'Monkey Business' and then an arrest animation for grounded suspects

Does anyone has an idea how will the character switch system will take part in LSPDFR?

 

That could cause some problems for the LSPDFR developers. I's imagine they would code a disabling script so that game feature is disabled while LSPDFR is running.

The fact that you could go into shops, at least online, and rob them could add more callouts on the side of responding to a shop that was burgled or in the processes of being burgled. The animations for the cashier and the interiors are already made up. Just a thought.Hopefully V will be more stable and whatnot than IV, and, for the devs sake, not a bitch to mod. The sheer size of LS can add so much more to the gameplay of LCPDFR, or LSPDFR in this case.

There are around 5 models for dogs, two are rotweillers (One being Chop's folder, the other being hostile), a retriever, an unused sheperd and the husky.  Of course, some of them might come back as the next-gen trailer showed an arrange of new animals such as stray cats, hammer heads and pitbulls.

"Coding more commands" for a dog could be fairly easy. It could be nearly impossible. We just have no idea.

guys, i've had a great idea! now that we have enter-able skyscrapers with multi-floor large interiors and breakable windows, we could have Die Hard-style hostage situations on the upper floors of the skyscrapers- we could play SWAT guys rappeling down the building from choppers and smashing through the windows like you do in the FIB Hostage abduction mission. that would be AWESOME!

I agree with most of these posts. I can't wait to be driving down the highway in a CHP/LSHP style cruiser (CVPI or default). That's gonna be awesome.

 

One thing I've noticed with Xbox 360 online is, when I was driving in a police car near where Franklin lives (in that ghetto area) a bunch of gang members just lit me up and I had to pull over and take cover. Maybe something like that could be implemented in the PC version. Like a huge shootout/ambush while in "hostile territory".

 

I think we also are forgetting the "ambient crime" in the single player. The stolen cars, the people getting mugged and such. Since that's already in the game, wouldn't that be one less thing to do?

That would be interesting but, I'd hate to burst your bubble, LCPDFR has always been about your typical day to day policing.

I know, but it could be an Extremely rare callout, or perhaps a script plugin if you don't want it. one thing that could tie into it could be a Hostage negotiation ability, where you could phone the suspects and see what their demands are.

This is way above and beyond and am in no way actually requesting this because I KNOW that it would be extremely complicated and in depth for it to happen... But I think it would be neat if you could take reports. You could somehow question subjects/witnesses and ask generic questions like those rpg games where you're interacting with a character and you get to choose a sentence, phrase, or question based on what is going on in the game. Again, that is EXTREMELY involved and nearly impossible for a mod alone to do that. However, I think it'd be neat if somehow (and I think this could possibly be easier) if you could type a quick, basic, and brief report through the in game police computer and it could either be linked directly to the site so others can see what actually is happening and how we interact with the citizens or it could be saved as a log in txt file on your computer somewhere. Let me reiterate that this is just a rough concept that I DO NOT expect to see. I just thought was a nifty idea and am nearly positive that it would be almost impossible.

Out of curiosity though now that I've been thinking about it, exactly how in depth would that sort of thing be even it was to be done with the already known coding of GTA IV? I'm just curious because I'm not a coder or mod expert so I know nothing about what would be involved with that.

i think V will be about the same difficulty as IV to mod, seeing as its just a more advanced version of the same engine, and people have already coded trainers and scripts for the console versions already (cars firing missiles etc.) there are tons of Mod videos on youtube already.

animations-wise, has anyone dug in the .Anim files for V for any cop animations yet? it would be amazing to have a Tackle to the ground animation for cops to chase guys.

My feature wishlist

everything we already have in LCPDFR ported over

actual ingame animations for grabbing suspects and placing them in cars (they exist, they can be seen in random events ingame)

tackle and ground arrest moves (hopefully?).

pilotable Helicopter cam for chases ( the coding for this exists, you use it in one of the story missions)

rappeling from choppers as SWAT or Evac in the mountains (i think this could probably be done, rappeling code for players exist)

Park patrol as Forest Rangers callouts

Highway patrol pursuits.

calling for spikestrips, the same way that Roadblocks are called in IV

maybe modifying the Mission Row station so we can actually access the rooms seen through door windows?

being able to select vehicles from the Impound Garage in mission row (this could be where you select your sqaud car/partner)

being able to get Body armor and shotguns from car trunk/shotgun racks in car doors (the AI cops do this)

traffic that doesn't make a pileup on the freeway when you pull someone over like they do in IV (roads and Traffic AI are bigger/better in V so this shouldnt be a problem)

being able to interact with civilians using Y/N or arrows on Xbox controller, like in the main game.

I would love if we were able to do Park Ranger related incidents (illegal hunting/poaching, park trespassers)

Liberty City, a place where the medics are more lethal than the murderers

I think someone touched on it but i would love to see some call outs in the rural and wooded areas, I would want to play as a Game Warden so maybe some calls like poaching, illegal fishing, illegal use of firearms and just random stuff like that
