Better paramedic driving

Featured Replies

So, the paramedics job is to save someone's life, but while they go to save 1 persons life, they end up running over and killing 5 people on the way! Life its a blood bath. I have to put the suspect in the car so he doesn't get smashed the the huge car. Most of the time, im the victim of getting killed. So is there a script, plugin or mod that gives the paramedics some Knowledge of driving XD and that makes both paramedics, driving and passenger get out and help,

I've had a better experience when I call them from other callout scripts, like policehelper or callouts+. They seem to drive a lot better from those, rather than the lcpdfr command

  • From what I've read in this topic, you've claimed something can be done which everyone including LMS has said is not possible, why should Alcon have to give evidence on how you can't do it. You said

The ambulance driving is hardcoded into the game, so improving it is pretty much impossible but as pointed out by BlackJesus slight improvements have been made in PoliceHelper (not made to run with LCPDFR 1.0/1.1 though) and Callouts+ (made especially for LCPDFR 1.0/1.1).

we have prayed many times for more stable paramedics..but like blackjesus and the others stated the best chances are police helper and callouts+.  however, the ones that just run amuck around the city by themselves can't be controlled..just call more ambulances to pick up the dead once they pass

The file is attached, unpack it (*.dll) into your "Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVlcpdfrplugins" folder. Ambulances drive with Vmax = 65 kph.

In addition to that script ^ you can also change the ambulance model to something smaller (remember to change the handling/vehicles.ide too) so the ambulance doesn't sway and skid so much.

Trying to change the AI ambulance driving? In your DREAMS! Never in a million years....

Back in Vice City, they were worse. When they arrived on scene, they would usually run over someone else and park over their victim, start walking around their ambulance trying to get to their victim. In the end, the victim dies and the medics drive away, and sometimes end up running over another person. I too have fallen prey to their tactics, even died. LOL

High speed driving of any kind in GTA IV is generally funny, but the fact that that mod needs to exist is hysterical, because yes: the "public safety" AI in this game really IS that bad.

Is it that hard fro Rockstar to code in proper Ambulance Driver AI?

Cheers.

Apparently we who cares about police, law enforcement, realism, are the minority among GTA players, friend. In GTA V R* didn't even care to code the injury system and the ability to revive.

I don't know how Abraxas did it, but the ambulance in PH is the best one yet.  They drive normal and don't kill everything in site.  Pickup the patient and leave without so much as knocking down a light-pole.

I dont really know if "because yes: the "public safety" AI in this game really IS that bad" is sarcasm. But i wanna make my game play more realistic :P

No, he didn't. What he said was, the default GTA IV paramedics controlled by the game itself is hardcoded and impossible to change. However, calling an ambulance through the policehelper mod results in the paramedic's driving being controlled by the policehelper script instead, where it has been improved.

ah ok but editing the hardcored memory with cheat engine would mean it isn't impossible to change/improve. I could even change the game's sco script for "emergencycall" which sets up ambulance event.

The script controlling the driving within GTA IV is not stored in the memory. It's hardcoded into GTA IV's engine. You cannot change anything in the memory that will affect the way that the native paramedics drive.

If you think you can do it, then I'd love to see. Come back to me once you've got a file up in the downloads section.

lol... lets see your research about how this is impossible then report back to me when you have the proper info.
