As disgusting as this is, the media is rolling in it. It's almost sickeningly laughable at how the media is making bank as this unfolds. The shootings, the murder, the bloodshed, the protests, the fighting, and violence. 
I'm tired and it's 1 AM here, but I want to watch and see how this unfolds. =P

How is it that we have MRAPS in small towns, but big city cops don't have hard body armor...?

How come BLM don't protest when a black cop is shot? Does his life not matter too?
These days equality doesn't mean equality. It means we want what we're fighting for, and screw everyone else.

An injured officer was just declared dead. It has risen to 11 officers shot, 2 in critical condition and 4 dead.

I am sorry, but I don't get why you're defending BLM. They only protest for 'black rights' when a white kills them. Black on black crime is an extremely large problem in this country, and it has turned once beautiful cities like Chicago, Baltimore, and Detroit into wastelands. Black leaders ignore these problems, and do nothing about it (at least nothing big which makes the news). In fact, the black leaders are more focused on replacing a statue of George Washington (I think that's who it is) with Michael Brown at a University.

I know the message that Black Lives Matter is trying to display, but they do it in a horrible fashion.

Also, by your logic, if those snipers were not BLM protestors, then the officer which killed Alton was not a cop, just another murderer. So, BLM shouldn't be protesting in the first place. I know you mean good at heart, but BLM will never be something I and many others will see in a good way.

According to OFFICAL reports 3 Police Officers are dead, 2 in Surgery, 3 in Critical.  They were killed by SINPERS. Not even man enough to go face to face. 10 Officers shot. I am disgusted by this. Prayers to Dallas PD and DART. Will update with links when I get them.
Update: 4 Officers dead 3 Dallas PD, 1 DART.
Update (12:00 AM EST): 11 Officers Shot, 3 Killed 2 Dallas PD Killed, 1 DART Killed, 1 Citizen Wounded. They are believed to also have threatened to plant bombs in the city. Some Officer's shot in the back.

What did I just watch...
An ambulance stranded in the streets of a big American city. AUTOMATIC GUNFIRE echoing through the block, and nobody seems to give a flying f**k. "So we are here in our broken down ambulance, with somebody shooting an automatic rife (Which BTW if was to happen in any other city would get a full terrorism response) but there are no cops around. Oh and someones baby is dying from cardiac arrest. Just another night I guess."
I think Detroit EMS should get guns because it looks like there aren't enough cops anyway! Can somebody please explain to me why people were literally shooting in the streets on new years eve?
On topic, I believe that if there is a need for EMS to be armed with ASP's, spray, taser etc. in one specific area, go for it! If your average Joe can own a gun, surely a person trained in maintaining a safe, calm and clear situation WHILE saving someone's life can handle force. But as I said, don't go around arming them for the hell of it. You don't want to take away the job of a police officer.
I could never be an EMT because I couldn't handle seeing people with really bad injuries as my job, but to those who can and do save people everyday, deserve to feel safe when they do it because none of us would survive without them!

It's very sad that these types of incidents are starting to rise and become more of a headline now a days. Years ago you didn't have to worry about any of this but now it's starting to become a big concern. My heart goes out to all of the members and their families. RIP.

Or maybe a reason to actually stop to spread weapons all over the country as if it was candies. Check this Guardian interactive map. You have an equal percentage of homicide by firearms to Brazil. Brazil, one of the most criminalized countries. Says a lot.

It isn't necessarily gun violence on the rise, it is the media paying more attention to it now. The media focuses on stories that they think the public is interested in at the moment in order to boost their ratings. They all have an agenda to push and it applies to all news outlets, none of them are innocent. There is so much else that is going on in our country and in the world but if police brutality and shootings are trending in social media this week then that is what the media will cover.

Lol yeah I have yet to see that, it's probably like Will said, or just bugged. I've seen a lot of cops steal civilian vehicles to chase me, but never a helicopter like that.
