Okay, now it makes more sense. Well, I sure hope so. I cant see any reason why they couldn't increase it to 32 at least. It still blows we can't create our own lobbies and control them accordingly by changing the weather, respawn time/distances and what not. It really sucks.

Agreed. I think they completely ruined multiplayer with a ranking system. The GTAIV freeroam is the best idea ever. There's still people playing GTAIV on Xbox 360 just driving around. Why R*, would you not include this?

 

I am excited because they said they're adding things (whether we get that or not, I dunno) but I'm mad we still have to wait a long ass time. I suppose I'm most excited to be using a CHP style cruiser with a vector lightbar sitting by the freeway waiting for speeders.

Clearly if Rockstar are planning to release the PC version a couple of months after the PS4 and Xboxone, then they must have something major happening with the PC version of the game that they want/need to spend extra time with to implement and test. I can't see Rockstar from a business perspective wanting to hold on to these re-releases any longer than they have to with the amount of money they have put into it; I'm sure they really want to get the PS4, Xboxone and PC releases out as soon as they can.

A big disappointment being treated like third class after having waited for so long already and having done so much for all the games before.

 

Well, at least we're getting it. They could have just said "F* You!" and not release it at all. So yes, it was delayed, but if that means we'll get a more polished port, then I'm not going to complain.

Like someone else said they are just delaying the PC release to curb piracy, "don't wait till January, buy the improved version of the game you already bought over a year ago". I love rockstar  and  the GTA series but they really need to work on their communication and pr skills. They stated the PC version would be released with the next gen but now they are pushing it back with no mention as to the reason for the delay or even an apology. 

 

As for the delay, what issues could have caused a 2 month delay??? I doubt they are making it highly superior to the next gen version, I just hope its a proper port. 

 

I think rockstar is just getting way to arrogant and they need to take a step back and realize that they are running a business and its about customer satisfaction and there is alot of unhappy customers including me right now.

Actually it's about their bottom line. Customer satisfaction ties into that, but not if everyone is going to buy their product anyway. They know every game they put out there will sell millions of copies, regardless of how mad everyone gets.

As a matter of fact, Rockstar Games is wholly owned by Take-Two Interactive. Take-Two is a publicly traded company, which means that they are legally required to work to maximize shareholder value - if they decide to do something because they think its right and damn what gives the best returns to shareholders, they are breaching a duty owed to shareholders and can be sued for it.

Frankly, I'm OK with the delay, for several reasons:

 

• It gives them extra time to make sure they don't rush it out unfinished for the holiday season like they did with IV
• they can spend a few months optimizing it properly.
• January is a quiet month for game releases.

I'm OK with them delaying it. Because it shows that sure we might have waited but with the delay they are probably trying not to make the same mistake with IV. I would like to see:

-Possible Modding Support for the Modding Community

-32 - 64 online servers + sandbox mode with no cops

-Better optimization setting for 1080p 60 fps.

So hopefully they make it better than IV.

Well, that's the way they work. Their communication has always been "limited". As frustrating as it may be, it's been like that for years.

Coming to Xbox One and PS4 January, 27'th. Also coming to PC.

So am I, but the problem is GTA Online itself. With them moving more toward online, I can imagine that Rockstar will probably do everything they can to make modding almost impossible. So sure, we'll get some mods, but I fear we may not get anything like LCPDFR was without it being a HUGE crashfest. But I'm still hopeful for LSPDFR, maybe Rockstar won't be complete dicks about it, at least for PC. Maybe (unlikely) they'll even do a complete 180 for the PC version and support mods... Maybe.

Speaking of Kavinsky, apparently he was supposed to have his own station on V called "Nightride FM", which he confirmed on his Twitter account. Why it wasn't in the game I don't know but perhaps they're adding it for the next gen releases.
