Open up Norton and go to Settings in the top right corner. Then click on Antivirus and then click on the "Scans And Risks" tab. You should see "Items To Exclude from Auto-protect, SONAR..." If you click on the configure next to these, you can select an entire folder that you can download LCPDFR into without Norton deleting it. (You may also want to exclude it from scans too)
Make sure you only download mods you know are safe into the folders you tell Norton to exclude from Auto-protect, download mods you are not sure about into a separate folder.

If you plan t start making models entirely from scratch, it may be worth getting some practice before you put money down on something such as ZModeler. Blender is free and has plenty of support to help you learn how to create anything you could possibly dream of.

Rockstar maps their vehicles in a way that most car mods don't do. Only the places with the decals have been uv mapped, the rest of the car is just a color the game puts on the car, it's not a texture created by someone. If that makes sense.

    This, essentially.
Plus, we don't have to give support to anyone. We don't have to have a support forum, as stated in the usage policy "Please note that this software is provided by G17 Media and the contributors 'as is' ". We don't have to develop LSPDFR. But we do so anyway. We don't have a support team on standy 24/7: We have volunteers. Adding even more workload to them for a software we don't 100% control is not just feasible.
Plus, I think you got it a bit wrong - We do help people who are having issues with the RageHook AND LSPDFR. Threads just asking for RageHook support has a much larger chance of being solved if you ask it at a place where its main developer posts.
Why would we lock and remove a thread that has valid points? We don't discourage members from providing constructive criticism, we encourage that.
And I think most people know what you can expect from G17 Media: Free modifications developed by dedicated developers for free in their own sparetime - Providing relentless entertainment and community interaction on a daily basis. Providing a free site, where no one is treated differently. A site where you can download items for free, as much as you want, as often as you want.
That's what you can expect from G17 Media.

Reviews and comments which abide by our Community Guidelines simply won't be removed. We know that users can review or comment on files for entirely the wrong reasons, but unfortuantly this is something which can't be solved easily without making reviewing more difficult (something we don't want to do).
Regarding adding a reply to reviews left, I do agree that this is an important feature we'll need to add. I don't think this is something IPS will ever be interested in implementing, so I'll add this to the list of things to do.
We tried that before for the clan system, we gave users the ability to moderate comments on their own groups, and it ended in disaster. We won't be repeating that mistake anytime soon.

There are groups out there who are trying to get this stopped, just like the Australians who were also executed a few days ago, I presume the same organizations are involved in trying to get the Indonesian government to stop the execution. I don't think this is going to have a massive negative effect on the population of the UK as a whole. Our government even has radio adverts sating "Don't get talked into trafficking drugs, once you're in, the British government can't bail you out".

Right, and one of the reasons why ELS might not work is because of a mis placed file, like an .asi loader, and that's what I'm trying to find out.

I have had a look, and I can't find any specific 2013 police interceptors, you're best bet would be to try and find a different year police interceptor (Or maybe even a Ford Taurus, seeing as their similar and you can edit it into a police version later) Or, you'll have to model a new one from scratch.

emptw1 reacted to LoneWolfSpecter in Bearcat Template Discoloration?
I find that some templates are greyscale for some reason with some of the models released. I've experienced this with templates for models by KevinDV, GFXLE, Sgt.Kanyo and some others. Whenever I try to make a texture, the colors are all grey. Now I use GIMP so I'm not sure if this is the exact problem you are having or how this would work with Photoshop or paint but I hope it somewhat helps.

If you're using GIMP, on the very top where File<edit<select<View etc is at, Click on Image then Mode and then set the image to "RGB". This has worked for me.

Second option you can do is open a new blank texture 2048x2048 or whatever the size of the template you are using is, then import the template you want to use. Everything should be normal after. Save it replacing the template if you want to use the template later on.

Considering that something with as much energy as our sun cannot form a black hole when it collapses in on itself, I highly doubt the black holes will have much gravitational power, and as other people have said, they will stay open for only a fraction of a second.

I like the way they're trying to see the effects the gravitational pull has on the different wavelengths of light, I can't wait to hear the results of this.

Here is what a line in the peds.ide looks like:
    M_M_FatCop_01, M_M_FatCop_01_p, COP, move_m@fat, GESTURES@MALE, GESTURES@M_PHONE, FACIALS@M_LO, visemes@m_lo, 0, move_m@fat, null, -1,-1, PED_TYPE_PLAYER, VOICE_PLY_CR,   VOICE_PLY_CR

Changing the bold entries to something like move_m@generic or even move_cop will change how the ped moves. make sure you change both to the same thing.

I'm not 100% sure if it's the case with GTA 4, considering everything is all in a .wtd file, but you'll need to have access to the unlocked model to change the name of lightbar textures. This is because when you UV map something, you have to tell the model what file it should use as a texture for that mapping. That file will have a specific name, and if you change that name without telling the model, then it won't be able to find the texture it's supposed to use, so will appear untextured in game.

The only way to do it is in Zmodeler with the model itself, you can't do it with models that are locked though as those textures are assigned to materials by that name permanently. Go into the texture browser and select the texture you wish to change the name of, then click on the replace button and navigate to the file with the appropriate name to your liking.

You can do all sorts with the vehicles.ide file. You can change which handling line the vehicles uses (I.e if you have police2, it uses the police 2 handling line, but in the .ide, you can change it so the police2 car uses the cavalcade handling line without having to open the handling line file) You can turn on or off the vehicles dirt texture, which is controlled by one of the numbers. You can change the engine sound, the way the doors open, the animations for getting in, out and sitting in the car, you can add a variety of extensions to a vehicle to change what GTA 4 does with it by adding extensions on the end. The most notable tag people add to the end of a vehcile.ide line is the +livery tag.

I'm sure there would be problems with that considering the enormous amount of effort it takes to scratch model cars, especially modern ones with all their complicated shapes. While scratch modelling doesn't cost as much money, it is more expensive in blood sweat and tears.

There is no easy, simple way to model something as complex as a human with no experience. Your best bet is trying to follow the tutorials. The most important thing you can do is practice, so load up your modelling program and practice making all sorts of different objects. Challenge and push your limits with each new model, then you'll have an easier time making peds for GTA IV.
