Hey guys, I'm just curious on what you guys prefer reading. Me being a big reader and a good one at that, I prefer nonfiction, mainly because it's true and it gives you knowledge. :)

Book hater! Lol jk.

No no I agree reibu, when I've look at past topics in the political section, it's hilarious to see the debate that goes on between the members, one of the funniest I remember reading was "please sign this" and "LAPD shoots unarmed man" or my favorite "mess with the best, die like the rest" :D

I guess for me it more depends on what's being written about, than whether it's Fiction or Non-fiction.

But I'll choose Fiction, since I love my Fiction books a lot & have more of them :D

LOL, what a coincidence, I love reading the YouTube comments, today I was just reading a comment on why this man said he thinks periods are disgusting, I laugh so hard because he was trying to win the argument, but couldn't. But also some of the comments give me eye Cancer, primarily because of sheer stupidity and ignorance People. The comments I hate most are when people bring up religion into a unrealted video and the racist ones, but still there are for the most part funny.

Anything horror/suspense related. I am a sucker for such things. Stephen King is a favorite,

Yes.. That is a very interesting category for books... I Have not read any Stephen King.. I Might do that.

reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Reading things in general, like forums, internet pages, YouTube comments etc i like to do. However reading books i don't do, mainly because.. i hate reading xD The only "books" i read would either be strategy guides or comic books (which are just Batman comics/graphic novels)

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

I enjoy non-fiction books very much, but I also enjoy the fiction books. 2 of my all-time favourite books are Into the Fire by Dakota Meyer; it's about the battle that lead to him being awarded the Medal of Honor. And my other is Black Hawk Down.

Ask me that question another time ... at the moment it's just neurophysiology books for my exam. :wallbash:

But other than that, I can't really decide if I like fiction or non-fiction better. I've read the Harry Potter books, the Song of Ice and Fire books, a lot of other fantasy and science fiction books, but I've also read Keith Richards' biography, a lot of Oliver Sacks' books (read them if you are even a little interested in neurology/psychiatry or the funny stories that occur to you when you're a neurologist - Sacks actually wrote the book the movie "Insomnia" is based on). I could give a whole list of non-fiction books I absolutely love (like "Brain on fire" about a woman who suffers from Anti-NMDA-receptor-encephalitis - an auto-immune disease that has only recently been discovered).

Still, I'd say I was always more of a fantasy reader, I love these worlds, far away from our own, where anything can happen. And a lot of people don't actually know what immense knowledge you can work into fictional works. Star Wars - for example - shows the rise of Julius Caesar with a lot of historically accurate details. You can put a lot more thoughts on philosophy into fictional works because you can write stories you couldn't write in a realistic setting.

And I like to read some graphic novels from time to time. I've got the huge "Big Damn Sin City" collection by Frank Miller at home as well as the "Fables" books and some Batman stuff.

And of course ... books for university ... I love learning 800+ Pages in 2 weeks ...

I used to read a lot of fiction and fantasy, but I'have been more into biographies/memoirs and non-ficton lately. The last few books I read were by Nate Silver (The Signal and the Noise), Mark Russinovich (Zero Day), George W. (Decision Points), Henry Kissinger (World Order) and Nelson Mandela.
