Ford has revealed there 2016 Ford Explorers, as Ford says ''We are trying to get that Lincoln feel in a Ford Car.'' I think they are really ugly, but what does this mean for the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor? Will this change the role of the Police car, or will Police Departments stop using the Ford Explorers?

Well, this certainly blew up over night. I didn't really mean to escalate anything, just poking fun at huge cars in general (especially America). It's a joke, and just because I'm not using emoticons does not mean it can't be a light-hearted message. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I still stand my ground; I see no practical useage for a car like this. 
 
And OL: There are people doing exactly that in Sweden and other places, and yet, they can do it without cars like this. It's a different culture, pretty much. Which I find extremely fascinating. I'm not downplaying american science or what america did for cars. I think we all need to relax a bit about this, obviously this is just a joke  that wasn't very well received by a few people here.

That's pretty unprofessional coming from someone who is supposed to uphold the rules of this community and represent it.

I don't know, but the caprices are nice, my PD has brand new 2014 ones :P

I happen to like the new Explorer's look.  Just imagine everything blacked out, and with steelies, and you get the 2016 FPIU.  Pretty mean if you ask me.

Ford will always make good cars and i do believe there will be a 2016 Interceptor Utility.

I don't understand at all why they need to change everything every 2-4 years.. the Crown Vic stayed the same for what? 13 years? & was & still holds up better then any other Police Vehicle on the market.. there is no benefit to changing the look other then to make dumb ass customers buy it because it looks different when it is in fact the same damn thing..
they should improve how it runs rather then how it looks..
I was talking to an HRP Officer about a month or so ago & he said he likes the Ford Taurus, but it wasn't built for the abuse Police put them through, his Unit was a 2013 & is already on it's fourth transmission & just had it's 3rd engine put into it & has not even 100K on it...
Dodge is even worse he said, yet they keep changing stuff instead of improving their vehicles they already have out.
bring back the 4.6L Crown Vic!
They don't need speed, they need reliability.
Ford has been really disappointing, 7.3 Diesel was damn near bullet proof & they run like new with 900,000+KM on them, they discontinued them they came out with the smelly problem ridden 6.0L Diesel, garbage as well, if I get rid of my CVPI I'm switching to Chevy...

I'll just stick to my trusty Kangaroo to get me to and from work, never lets me down

I get what you're saying and i respect your opioion, but mines, just shoot him in the head put him out of misery you know. 

They can't happen, (I understand its you're opioion) but everybody has there right no matter what! Like my Dad, who is a criminal defense attorney (Deals with Raps,Muders,Shootings) and he is not helping them get out of jail, he is defending their right so they are treated equally, and who knows, in 30 years when he gets out (I dont know how long he is in there) he could be a changes person? Why do death on somebody that has changed, and yes i understand it is a crime and he need a good 30-40 years.

That's really sad and really nasty....Glad he is in jail.

The correct spelling is you're... Also you say you are glad to live in a place where people have grown? You might want to consider moving, because it seems pretty childish to assume anyone who lives south of the Mason Dixon line is a racist. You can't know that I'm a racist, because you don't know me. I don't consider myself to be racist, I have African American friends where I go to school. There are racist people all over the world, and just because you lived in a area that did not have an African American police officer doesn't mean everyone is racist. That just means an African American didn't apply for a job, or he/she didn't do very well during the hiring process.
