If I remember right, all are by Jack Webb right? I know that they all exist at the same "universe" or  time (at least Dragnet 67, Emergency, and Adam 12). I watched an episode of Dragnet 67 and on the radio they had 1-Adam-12 responding with Joe Friday and his partner. Also, I read about how Jack Webb wanted to do a Dragnet 1982, and have Kent McCord (Officer Pete Malloy) be Webb's parter, but Webb passed away.

Yeah you're right, jack webb  was a pioneer for cop dramas and the like, I do believe that the shows had crossovers but no they are not set in the same universe.

It would have been great to see McCord and and webb do a series together its a shame that he went but you have to go sometime.

Please, let's keep this classic only :)  Beautiful Porsche, reminded me of these curious pictures of the day that the direction of traffic in Sweden was changed to the right in 1967.

At the same time a joke emerged in Finland about Swedens traffic direction change and it goes by:

On the first day only trucks and other heavy vehicles changed direction and on second day it was passenger cars' turn and at last the bicycles.

Probably referring at the chaos of the first day. I guess it was more amusing joke in the 60's  but I'm also contributing:

Finnish Police Dodge Aspen. Only a few units were in service, most likely used in patrolling highways

And a Porsche. I believe used more in catching speeders than in domestic disturbances

Lastly the old workhorse of Finnish Police, Saab 900. Used from early 80's to late 90's. Worked like a dream in Finlands roads and harsh climate, packed a nice punch under the hood too. You can also see the changes in paint jobs, older at front and current at the back. Also Ford Transit is seen.

Old CHP Mustang. This picture has to be one of my favorites.

Speaking of 'Stangs, We here in Oregon had a few. Also, as much as I love our state, our liveries back then were god awful.

I love the old Mustangs, the livery on this is pretty generic though. Interesting that many other departments used the Code 3 LP6000.

If find that generation of the Mustang probably the dullest of its whole history.

Few curious pictures of the custom air intakes made to filter the ashes expelled during the 1980 eruption of the mount Saint Helens and prevent it to get sucked into the car engines.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Jim LaMunyon set up a road block at Interstate 90 and Geiger Road in Spokane. An emergency was declared in Eastern Washington, and all State Highways were closed for several days after Mount Saint Helens erupted.

Sorta reminds me to the Tuareg people and how they can make a broken truck work in the middle of the desert with the most rudimentary materials.

Here’s a cool 1985 video of the FBI Hostage Recue Team, their tactics and equipament. Most of the local SWAT teams of the same time look much more dated, these guys already looked like the SWAT teams of the early 1990’s.

I wonder why back in the day they didn't wear helmets...

Poctik is active at GTAForums, I could try contacting him there

Did you ever contact him? br100x gave me permission to use his T-2 Tin Can lights if the project gets rolling.

Here's some action clips from an old Aussie police drama. Featuring: hideous cars, awful acting and an awesome siren!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UesM_LUibQE

That's a variant of the LTS siren by the way, which was primarily used in the 80's and 90's all over the country. Unfortunately, the MFB is the only department which still uses it today. If you've ever seen the Mad Max films, it was the siren used on his interceptor.

Saw this add in one of my classic car magazines. I don't think I've ever seen a 442 Cop car, let alone a Oldsmobile for a cruiser. Anyone else know about these? The article talked about how Olds did offer a police package for the engine.

EDIT: Huh. I guess the CHP had 67 Olds in there fleet but only for that year.
