Honestly all I see is nonsense regarding Ferguson. Burning down stores and looting doesn't help anybody.

Now to throw in my two cents about the comment mr. Steele1925 made:

Am I with you in saying African Americans are racist, to an extent yes. What about the white folks what about them, same answer to an extent.

In my experience living in the near south, (the southern end of a border state, close 'nuff.) racism is running fairly rampant.

Why is this you may ask? Well, I'm here to state my opinion as to why this is.

I think John Wayne said it well enough in a 1972 interview that America needs to quit cow towing (Catering) to minorities and start to think of America as a whole, it is only when we see ourselves as Americans that racism can be defeated. Look at Germany, you don't hear of any african-germans or caucasian-germans, why? because the country is unified enough to know that race doesn't matter.

The stitches of equality that our great nation tried to sew during the civil rights movement, have now came unraveled. And why? Because of our innate narcissism, we all like to look out for what is best for ourselves. But not our country.

There are unarmed black men being targeted by police right now, but there are whites just as well, Latinos, Arabs and more. And why, because we all have horrible tendencies that give the police a reason too.

My Ideal to solve this nonsense is to gather a big group of multicultural leaders and personalities, have them work together very publicly, so others will follow.

The Canadian rock band Rush said it best "And the men who hold high places, must be the ones to start. To mold a new reality closer to the heart."

I generally pride myself on siding fairly conservatively in my political beliefs, though on the topic of net neutrality I think a little bit outside of my belief box....

Net Neutrality, at least what I've observed of it, is a ways to stop big bushiness from bleeding us (The internet consumer) dry. How might they, well take a look at most cable companies. Most of these companies have packages for certain channels I.E. Hbo, Starz, Porn... But, if you take a look back about forty to fifty years, there were no packages, only unrestricted to a point, cable.... (Or whatever you could pick up on your antennas...) The reason I support net neutrality is to stop big bushiness from doing exactly that to the internet, and with companies out there like comcast it was only a matter of time.

And generally speaking here, I would rather let the internet rest in the hands of the government than in the hands of the corporations. I mean just look at how well trusting them has turned out in the past for us... ~Insert sarcasm here... (Them being the corporations.)

    MODERATOR NOTICE
The point of this thread is to debate one specific topic: "net neutrality" and what these rules mean for ISPs and the Internet as a whole, and whether you agree or disagree with that.  This topic is NOT here for debating general liberalism vs conservatism vs communism, nor does it exist to bash one side or the other.

I've cleaned the thread up and removed all off topic discussions.  If you want to debate about how good or bad the president is or how many "commies" are in Congress, don't do it in this thread.

Goodness what a thread. This is no ordinary thread I must follow it to see how it plays out. However, before I do I would like to make a few points and then fade back into the crowd.

Point #1 Mr.Obama was sworn in as a Methodist, the country that he hails from originally (Though he's an American now) is 83% christian and lastly if he did practice Islam it would be a known fact, as religion in such a high political office is a rather hard thing to conceal.

Point #2 The comparison Mr.Obama was attempting to make was that of the superfluous loss of life caused by extreme zealousness in that era (Not dissin either side yo).

The bi partisan arguing is why other nations can't take us Americans and our politics seriously, for Pete's sake cut it out and discuss the point of the comparison.

(This is a suggestion, by no means is is meant to be offensive to anyone.)

Robin Williams really was my childhood, and I have never been so sad to see an actor or actress die. I used to watch flubber and patch adams on repeat as a kid.

Not even going to lie, I shed a tear or two. He was my childhood.
