  2. Cleaned up a few posts. I have no idea what that was about, but please do not bring petty drama to the site. Thanks.
  3. I assume you are referring to the rule where you are only supposed to leave a review after using the mod. This rule is extremely hard to enforce, as it is impossible to know if someone actually used the mod or not. The best option is to only allow a member to leave a review after downloading the file (a technical solution, which would be up to Cyan to implement, assuming that is not already in place), then they at least have to take the extra step of downloading the mod first. If you are referring to people asking for support in the review section, just report them. It is also extremely hard to keep track of everything that is posted on the website, so reports are extremely helpful to us. I know some people might think "they'll just ignore it if I report it" but that is not how we operate.
  4. Problem with that is that textures work on many different models; there usually is not just one model the texture works with. In many cases, the textures are made using the template provided with the DEV model, so they will work on any model uploaded using that DEV model.
  5. Just saying that it doesn't work is not going to get you much help. Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related. Please post in the correct location in the future.
  6. There's no need to type in all caps, it makes it seem like you are yelling, which is just rude. Also, you need to install ELS: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/13865-emergency-lighting-system/ Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related. 7. There's no set way - it's basically a token of appreciation given by management for doing something spectacular that deserves recognition.

  12. You'd probably have to get a copy of it.
  13. I was curious about that as well, but they haven't said anything about it yet.
  14. The OpenIV team has been working on a way to bring Liberty City to GTA V and it looks like they are getting close to a release: http://openiv.com/?p=1285 The way it works is it will convert the existing Liberty City from your GTA IV installation to GTA V - that way you don't have to download the entire map, and there are less legal issues with redistributing it. Downside is you'll have to have GTA IV or EFLC installed for it to work. Figured I'd share since I'm sure some people here would be interested.
  15. Moved to GTA V Modding Discussion & Information as this is not directly related to LSPDFR. This topic has been moved to the appropriate forum. Please post in the correct location in the future.
  16. Check your disconnect message. Locked as this is a matter to be handled privately.
  17. Is he getting the error "panopticon"? If so, see here:
  18. It looks like they updated the Social Club login servers, making GTA IV need a patch if you want to play multiplayer. I guess they realize people still play it, so they released the patch and threw in some bug fixes.

  20. You're not alone. I don't have it showing anymore, though. Happy birthday* Couth! *belated because of upside-down timezones.
  21. I think we used to separate out "data file" modifications with GTA IV, but there was never a clear description of what that meant, and all kinds of mods got thrown into that. Now, though, we have pretty clear sections for everything, so it probably would be a good idea to have a section just for modifications to the actual data files.

  23. I really doubt he's using the "old version" system for that. What Cyan is referring to is an automatic feature that IPS has where an old version of a file is retained in the server when a file is updated, and is supposed to allow members to download those old versions. If you click "See changelog" on some files, a list of versions will pop up that you can select from. You are supposed to then be able to download that old version, but it's never worked properly. That's what we are removing. You should still be able to have multiple different files in a single upload.
  24. When I moved my Steam games, all I had to do was make a new steam library on the new drive and copy all of the games over to it. Then, after restarting steam, it recognized those games as installed. All it had to do was the "first time setup" for each game, no "discovering existing files" thing. Note: I copied the entire steamapps folder, not just common. Some of the files in steamapps are simply for steam to know what games are installed in that location. If you do it that way, there's no need to redownload or install anything. Note 2: Essentially this is the whole process: Open Steam and create a new game library on the new drive. Exit Steam Move the entire steamapps folder from the old drive to the new Steam library location (either by cut/paste, or copy/paste/delete; you probably don't want the games in both locations when you start Steam again). Usually the new location will be called "SteamLibrary" or something. I'm not sure if it will already have a steamapps folder, if it does just merge them. Open Steam. All of your games that were previously installed should still be installed. Whenever you launch one, it might perform the first time setup again. One issue with this might be with the registry. You might end up having redundant entries there since you never actually uninstall the games from the old location. I fresh installed Windows after this process, so it wasn't a problem for me.
  25. The gallery is there for our users to share cool shots that they take in game, it isn't really meant for debugging or asking for help/suggestions. That's what the development and showroom forum categories are for.
