Hello guys! I'm recently playing LSPDFR as a CHP officer (thanks to RDE I can experience the cooperation of LAPD/LASD officers), but I want to know what type of callouts makes more sense to be a CHP officer. Besides the fact I don't live in the US, I just know CHP is the State Police of California, just like Texas DPS or Florida Highway Patrol for example, that is concerned on major callouts like illegal racing, DUI and other road offences, or terrorist attacks. I can't imagine a CHP officer who is dealing with something like illegal camping, noise compliant or a simple dispute between a landlord and a tenant. If you're even CHP officers of you're attending in a CHP academy, let me know about it. Thanks in advance!

This depends entirely on the state, but city police handle incorporated areas (basically areas owned by a city), sheriffs/county police handle unincorporated areas and cities that contract policing out to them, and highway patrol/state police stick to highways and in more rural areas assist local agencies, since some areas may have as little as 2 officers from combined agencies over a county during some nights.

Really they could respond to any call. If the local PD is backed up with calls and a CHP is nearby they can end up responding to domestic disturbance calls or anything. When I play CHP I usually stick to the freeways and respond to any call that's nearby the freeway as well.
