Want to start a REAL Movement to protest T2??

Featured Replies

Hey guys

I know we are all pissed aboout T2's decision on the modding topic and I dont want to discredit any effort made to try and resolve that but I couldn't help myself but try to find another way of sending a powerfull message above... I was thinking about what could be the greatest way too protest T2 on this topic and this went throught my mind...

We are all content creators, many of us have differents skills and talents that makes some aspects of moddings easiers for us. Why don't WE show them what can be done with theses "Illegal Mod" by making custom projects on the topic?!?!  They would show what kind of great work they are putting an end to and it would probably give us awesome coverage.

I know we all have different skills but this could be a one-time-deal where we really need to work together as a community and show them we are worth the time or this might just be the end. Some people are better at photoshop others make awesome 3d models  and we probably have the best videos editors in the whole gaming community - But bottom line is we can create awesome customized mods related to this! Lets put that to our advantage. Today I saw the Atomic Blimp modded into a powerfull message to T2. This is a small example of what we could do (Awesome job on it BTW =D )

Let's unite all these powerfull skills and create mods/videos/photoshoots/scripts to show them what  we REALLY are we capable of.

I suggest we all mash our ideas here and ask for help if needed =)

What do you guys think?

Nice idea , LSPDFR is a great example of what modders are capable of i mean people are grabbing GTA V for pc just for tha mods .

But this gonna be quite useless , T2 ain't gonna play ball just because "Content creators" told em to , i can see the headlines "Huge video game company makes mods legal again because fans are pissed" , let's be real and think of other alternatives .

I don't read too good ...

At this point, there is nothing as contributors we can do.  Signing petitions, and making the very last few modifications just to show T2 what we can do aren't going to change a multi-billion dollar gaming company minds.  It's like trying to tell Washington to take Trump out of office.

What we need is creating a black market of mods , let's take the fight to them , hit them where it hurts most ; the money .

And to think those idiots at RageHook disabled pirated support just to avoid trouble ...

same here, but like its been said, t2 is a multi billion $$ company, they will still make millions.

What we done only on this day already made them at least open their eyes, if you go to steam they removed all of the game reviews and removed the gtav steam forum lmao

The only real way to get to companies would be to not buy their games.

This will achieve nothing. Nobody here would want to work together in the first place.

new statement  rockstar

"Take-Two's actions were not specifically targeting single player mods. Unfortunately OpenIV enables recent malicious mods that allow harassment of players and interfere with the GTA Online experience for everybody. We are working to figure out how we can continue to support the creative community without negatively impacting our players."

We are following up with further questions for Rockstar to try to clarify its position and what may come next for OpenIV and GTA modding.

We can start DDOS attack to some servers, no?

I have gta 5 legal and pirated, you can play LSPDFR on cracked gta, just use some tricks.

I'll not uninstall open IV (when i start it, i just press "unistall later"), we can start uploading some illegal copies of open IV here or on 4chan...

Uhhhmmm, quite bluntly. No.

Not only are DDoS attacks illegal, they are extremely stupid. We all don't like this idiotic move by Take-Two, doesn't mean we should devalue our point by partaking in illegal activities against the normal Grand Theft Auto Online users. Additionally, we do not allow any content to be shared here if the author does not want it to, in this case the distribution of OpenIV has been ceased so as such distribution of said software is forbidden on this site.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

I was joking about DDoS attacks ,

I have 3 questions for you:

1) what can we do for stop T2?

2) If we can't use openIV how can we install mods?!?

3) If mods are illegal, the whole site have to close, no? will you close it?

  1. Nothing.
  2. Find a copy of OpenIV from other sources.
  3. Nothing is 'illegal' until tried and tested in court. A cease and desist is basically saying 'stop doing this or we'll take you to court'. Additionally, this website has no direct connection to OpenIV.
