TheBunk got a reaction from startrooper in So.. what do you all do when you get bored?I use the NOOSE mod, put on a fancy EUP SWAT uniform, call a shit ton of backup and shoot everything that moves. Really fun stuff if you're into SWAT/Tactical shit.
You can make plenty of scenarios like these using Map Editor, one of my favorite is an arrest warrant scenario on the Lost clubhouse near the Vinewood track, i put on my FIB gear, call FIB support and raid the spot.
LSPDFR won't really get you anywhere by it's own, it needs to be combined with mods to have shit to do.

TheBunk got a reaction from r000 in Stop the Ped vs Arrest ManagerIt was pinned in his discord server (which i was banned from for asking a solution to the internet thing) that it helped with troubleshooting and that "it's something he wants".
I checked again now and it was changed to ensure compatibility between UB and STP which is annoying but i don't really think you need online for that? I'm not a dev, but plenty of people have mods interacting with each other without needing constant internet.
I suggested for the update check to be just at game startup not constant, i was banned for that, which seemed a little odd. I know he's not collecting personal info since someone already looked into the code, but it's just ridiculous how he's sensitive about this issue. No one should be forced to connect just to play LSPDFR. Just don't give support if they don't have the proper version and that's it, people have been doing it for a long time.
I ignored you because of that " if their connection is that bad they can't play with Bejoljo's mods, chances are they can't stream/view any form of media" comment. There's a difference between bad connection and an unstable one, everyone is different, you shouldn't assume that people don't have access to civilization just because they can't keep a constant connection just to please Bejoljo's awkward design.
I play with STP when i can, it's overwhelming to the point that you start to ignore some of it's features. Plus it conflicts with other mods that offer the same stuff (animal control for Wilderness Callouts and virtually every single service offered by albo's mods), sometimes it seems like a compilation of every other mod that came before. I don't wanna replace mods with Bejoljo's STP or Ultimate Backup, but since he left the website i think he's been on this "crusade" against i dunno, other modders or whatever. Considering his rude behavior against other fellow modders i wouldn't be surprised.
Also, telling people you're playing GTA or LSPDFR wrong goes against what this whole gaming experience is about, freedom.
Yes please, educate me on how to properly press the "B" button.
I don't use 2 mods at a time, but why should i sacrifice features from X mod so that Y mod can work without conflict.
This is a case of "we're replacing every other mod and fuck you if you don't use our mod" and it seems like a plausible scenario considering the circumstances.
He just reuses ideas already worked on by the community in an effort to absorb it's users huh.
Yes albo's mods are intended to work with each other. And i remember feeling weird about this back when they first started releasing, i felt like it was made on purpose to rack up downloads and it would be unstable. But it turned out fine, and when i'm talking about plugin dependency, i don't mean plugins of the same author, i mean people who make new scripts/callouts/whatever based around another plugin by another author. Because usually when for example, albo makes two different plugins, the way they're coded is to work together, there's a common workframe there. It's when someone decides to use albo's stuff of bejoljo's stuff as a base for their own mod that shit can get complicated because it creates layers of mods and that shit can be unstable as fuck.
A year back i remember messing up my albo mods and the fact that these mods held such an important place in my LSPDFR plugin file that i was unable to play. Same shit happens with Bejoljo's mods when my connection acts up, not only STP and UB won't work but several other mods too. This design philosophy is one that i virtually disagree with in every single modding community i'm part of (those of you who play S.T.A.L.K.E.R and every bethesda game out there will know the struggle is real).
You claim that i use STP wrong but in your case, you're using your eyes wrong if you got that impression on me.
I just disagree with a lot of what you're doing. Plenty of excellent devs putting out quality mods out there with no stupid gimmick and no over-righteousness, helping each other in every possible to create greatness. But Bejoljo's is being a child, with just a tiny bit of criticism able to make him leave the site and go cry in a corner, combined with his hostile behavior to other fellow modders and the fact that he hires you, a goddamn PR manager for a mod for a mod, to defend his public image is just funny to me. Dude has a "praise" chat in his own discord server and runs that shit like North Korea, albo's mods might have flaws but at his prime you could PM him for support anytime. There's a lot more to this than "features", there's a human element in modding. Bejoljo seems like the one on the high horse right now.

TheBunk got a reaction from r000 in Stop the Ped vs Arrest ManagerUse Arrest Manager.
Easy to use, not bloated with useless features and doesn't bother you every 2 seconds with online updates.

TheBunk got a reaction from r000 in Stop the Ped vs Arrest ManagerYes unfortunately albo left the community and his mods aren't being updated but it doesn't really matter, people are still using outdated mods, hell, the whole GTA 4 section in this site is outdated mods yet people still use Abraxas and Braveheart's mods. Albo's stuff stood the test of time, gave simple and efficient tools for the community without complicating things for users. I don't like Bejoljo's mods since they require internet connection to work, mine is unstable so is a lot of other players but he wouldn't fix it based on the fact that "iT HeLpS WiTh TrOubLeShooTiNG" which is just bullshit. People have been fixing issues with crash reports since modding was a thing, you don't need constant surveillance to be "efficient".
STP is bloated with useless stuff, i liked some new features it introduced especially when it comes to managing scenes n stuff but it keeps getting updated with a lot of stuff that i ain't really gonna use and conflicts with other mods. Arrest manager is simple and efficient, provides me with a no-bullshit prison transport and that's just what i need.
And really, the thing i hate most about some new mods, is that they depend on other mods to work. This is just lazy developing and makes the game slower and more prone to crash by creating layers of mods on top of mods. A mod for a mod for a mod for GTA V, that's honestly just a recipe for my game to crash so i pass in most cases.

TheBunk got a reaction from Marcus Harper in Will there be Lspdfr for gtatrilogy definitive edition? It's definitely a good idea.
People have exhausted almost everything LSPDFR has to offer and Red Dead doesn't really fit for a potential sequel.
The old SA state is a gold mine for police gameplay, you got a broad range of jurisdictions and environments at your disposal, plenty of cop assets such as interiors, weapons and vehicles. I can easily see myself patrolling SF or the desert, maybe crack down on Idlewood's crack dealers or rough up drunken LV tourists.
You also have Vice City, and man oh man don't we all wish to fulfill that old 80s Miami Vice fantasy.
Not a big fan of the 3D era LC but who knows man it might be fun to try police mechanics there.
Please do consider this, we long for a new police experience.

TheBunk reacted to Tejk in Stop the Ped vs Arrest ManagerOk, you guys were right, AM is useless, STP does everything and I got a little FPS boost by getting rid of it.
And I prefer manual updating by the way, since Operation Flashpoint 😄

TheBunk reacted to Brexin212 in [WIP] Agency Dispatch FrameworkThis is a good question. The "Primary Role" option in the menu is used to tell Dispatch which type of callouts to prioritize sending the player to over the AI simulated officer units. For example, If you set your role to "Patrol", and a GangActivity scenario pops up from the call center, Dispatch will send the closest officer units to handle the situation. If the player is not one of the closest units available to send to the call, then the AI units who are will be sent to "handle" the situation. On the other hand, if you set your Primary Role to "Gang", and the same callout pops up from the call center, Dispatch will most likely send the player to that call instead of the AI, as long as certain criteria are met (such as the player being "Available" for calls, or currently handling a low priority call).

TheBunk reacted to Cyan in Stop the Ped vs Arrest ManagerIt's required because the author wants greater control of their software. People can make their own judgement call as to whether they want to tolerate that or not, but I don't think it's fair to dress it up as some sort of thing that's a requirement for better synchronization.

TheBunk reacted to UnknownBastion in Stop the Ped vs Arrest ManagerJust wanted to point out that this isn't exactly true. Here is a quote from Albo himself:
"It mostly comes down to being busy with other things in my life, as well as LSPDFR becoming less interesting for me having played it for so long and the introduction of frameworks allowing modded GTA5 multiplayer environments (read: FiveM)."
Which can be found here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/87615-open-sourcing-albo1125s-mods-retirement/
Hope This Provides Some Clarity!

TheBunk got a reaction from Cyan in LSPDFR and "misplaced" effortIt was a scam, never had faith in it since the author's background was sketchy and promised things that were really too good to be true.
Although the guy who made these videos sounds like a complete jackass, he has a point a guess.
Back to your topic, i think that the arcadey feel and the atmosphere of GTA, the lore, the humor, the already laid-out gameplay is what makes LSPDFR enjoyable. Most changes are really minor when you think of it, a backup system, a cop skin and some enemy blips who get labeled according to calls n stuff. Most of the LSPDFR experience is mainly a GTA experience, i think that's why most cop sims flop (think Police Force and that Police Simulator thing).
And when it comes to realism, i don't know, i don't get the appeal of a perfect real life representation like they do in those german sim games. A lighthearted tone, fast paced action approach is what makes stuff exciting to play, if i wanted paperwork i'd work on my exams IRL not type up imaginary charges on an imaginary perp.
I don't think you'll find much success with this endeavor my man, if you been around modding communities like the San Andreas golden age (and now, Bejoljo), you'll see that modders have this god-complex with making mods for free, even though most mods were made for their own fun not as a Sisyphus type task like they make it out to be. But good luck nonetheless.

TheBunk got a reaction from Faya in What LSPDFR Needs right now(suggestions)LSPDFR needs to stop trying to be a standalone game with it's own mods.
There's a shit ton of different hooks, tools, frameworks going around and this makes the game really goddamn hard to mod and also makes it unstable if you have all these different plugins running. I mean it's hard to keep track of everything you got installed.
I can understand someone making callouts or random events but the rest of the plugins that bring new features in ? Why not have all that into the base LSPDFR mod?
Letting the main mod give a large array of police tools so that the community can focus on making quality callouts instead of patching in the holes that LSPDFR leaves around sorta like what has been done in GTA4.
Nowadays it feels like LSPDFR is just a pursuit system and a forceduty command, almost everything else has been built on by the community..

On a side note, Abraxas is a fkn legend man. It's a real shame he had to leave, he could have done a way better job than all these kids popping outta nowhere with their lame ass GTA V mods.
Bring back the LCPDFR days, the creativity, the rawness and the dedication.

TheBunk got a reaction from Hastings in [REL] Realism Dispatch Enhanced 3.1.1Yeah RDE kinda brought a new life to my GTA experience , SP and LSPDFR included. The amount of new content is massive and it's really rare to find such lore-friendly mods.
I don't get people that use CVPIs and real life cars , it's just off for me.
