Real Duty Callouts is no longer in active development.

The previously planned updates and future versions of Real Duty Callouts will not be continuing as originally planned.

Real Duty Callouts was one of my earlier attempts at building a more deliberate and realistic LSPDFR callout experience, but the project was rushed, had problems that were never properly addressed, and ultimately never reached the standard I wanted for it.

Rather than continue patching and rebuilding an old project, development has moved toward something much larger.

RealV Rehaul V1.0 Beta 1 โ€” Civilian Foundation Build is now available.

RealV Rehaul is now the main project moving forward: a much larger single-player realism overhaul built around connected vehicle, civilian and world systems.

If you have followed Real Duty Callouts, Real Traffic AI, Real Pursuit AI or any of my previous realism projects, RealV Rehaul is the project to follow going forward.

Real Duty Callouts was originally built around one main idea:

Make LSPDFR callouts slower, more investigative and less focused on instant action.

Instead of every situation immediately turning into a pursuit or shootout, the aim was to give the player more time to investigate, speak to people, run checks and make decisions.

That idea was good.

The execution wasn't where it needed to be.

The project was developed too quickly, several systems were rough, bugs remained unfixed and the overall quality did not meet the standard I now want attached to my projects.

Rather than pretending otherwise, I'm leaving Real Duty Callouts as a legacy release and focusing development on a better foundation.

That foundation is RealV Rehaul.

Real Duty Callouts should now be considered a finished legacy project.

There are currently no further standalone versions, major fixes, callout expansions or feature updates planned.

This includes previously mentioned versions such as:

  • Real Duty Callouts V1.2

  • Additional Beta releases

  • New callouts

  • Reworked investigation systems

  • Major bug-fix updates

  • Further balancing passes

Those plans have now been discontinued.

Where appropriate, ideas learned from Real Duty Callouts may influence future RealV Rehaul systems โ€” but RealV Rehaul is not simply Real Duty Callouts V2.

It is a completely different project with a much broader scope.

Because Real Duty Callouts is no longer in development, dedicated support for the project has also ended.

This includes individual assistance with:

  • Installation problems

  • RagePluginHook errors

  • LSPDFR compatibility issues

  • Crashes

  • Plugin conflicts

  • GTA V build incompatibilities

  • Broken callout behaviour

  • Individual configuration problems

The mod may remain available as a legacy download, but it should be installed with the understanding that it is no longer actively maintained.

Changes to GTA V, LSPDFR, RagePluginHook or other plugins may eventually affect compatibility.

For actively developed content, please move over to RealV Rehaul.

The first Beta release of RealV Rehaul has officially launched.

Instead of focusing on one isolated part of GTA V, RealV Rehaul is being built as a connected single-player realism overhaul.

Beta 1 already introduces:

  • ๐Ÿš˜ Vehicle state tracking

  • ๐Ÿ”‘ Manual engine controls

  • โ›ฝ Dynamic vehicle fuel

  • ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ Functional fuel stations

  • ๐Ÿ”ง Progressive engine damage

  • ๐Ÿ’ฅ Performance loss from vehicle damage

  • ๐Ÿ”„ Hot-reloadable settings

  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Safe Mode

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Debug and diagnostic tools

  • ๐Ÿš” LSPDFR-friendly compatibility behaviour

And this is only Beta 1.

Future Beta releases are planned to continue expanding RealV Rehaul before the project eventually enters its feature-lock and stability stage.

For anyone discovering this page for the first time, Real Duty Callouts was an LSPDFR callout plugin focused on slower and more deliberate police scenarios.

The intention was to move away from constant high-action calls and instead create situations where the player had to investigate what happened.

The plugin used a manual progression system that allowed the player to move through parts of a callout at their own pace.

The general philosophy was:

Slow down.
Assess the scene.
Speak to people.
Run checks.
Make a decision.

Real Duty Callouts attempted to make investigations feel more controlled by the player.

Rather than automatically progressing through every stage, the plugin was designed around manual interaction.

Players could move through dialogue and scene progression themselves rather than having the callout constantly rush ahead.

The original design included concepts such as:

  • Manual investigation progression

  • Player-controlled dialogue

  • Record checks

  • Multiple investigation stages

  • Scene assessment

  • Backup considerations

  • Officer-safety prompts

  • Different possible resolutions

The idea was to give the player more involvement in how a callout unfolded.

One of Real Duty Callouts' main ideas was allowing the player to control the speed of the investigation.

The default interaction key was:

Y

Rather than forcing every dialogue stage or decision automatically, the player could manually advance parts of the callout.

This concept was intended to make scenes feel less like scripted cutscenes and more like something the officer was actively controlling.

Some scenarios attempted to encourage the player to think about how they approached a scene rather than simply running straight toward every suspect.

Domestic incidents, for example, included ideas around staging and waiting for backup before making contact.

This reflected the project's original intention of making callouts more deliberate rather than simply increasing action.

The plugin also attempted to clean up objects created during a callout once the incident finished.

Spawned pedestrians, vehicles and map elements were intended to be released or removed once a scene ended.

This was designed to reduce unnecessary leftovers during longer LSPDFR sessions.

Real Duty Callouts included an INI configuration that allowed individual callouts to be enabled or disabled.

The main interaction key could also be changed through the configuration.

This allowed players to disable scenarios they did not want appearing during patrol.

Real Duty Callouts was developed as an LSPDFR plugin.

The original requirements included:

  • LSPDFR 0.4.9+

  • RagePluginHook

Because this is now a legacy release, compatibility with newer future versions of GTA V, LSPDFR or RagePluginHook cannot be guaranteed.

For users who still want to use the legacy release:

  1. Install a compatible version of LSPDFR.

  2. Install a compatible version of RagePluginHook.

  3. Extract the Real Duty Callouts archive.

  4. Place the Real Duty Callouts files into your Plugins/LSPDFR directory.

  5. Launch GTA V through RagePluginHook.

  6. Go On Duty through LSPDFR.

Again, this is now a legacy release and active compatibility support is no longer provided.

Real Duty Callouts was a rushed project.

There were bugs.

There were rough systems.

There were things that needed rebuilding.

And updates that should have happened never arrived.

I know some players were disappointed with the quality of the project, and I understand why.

Rather than repeatedly promising a massive update to repair an old foundation, I've decided to be completely clear:

Real Duty Callouts will not be receiving the previously promised redevelopment.

My development time is being focused on building something better from the beginning.

One of the biggest lessons from my earlier projects was that maintaining lots of separate mods can eventually become harder than building one properly structured overhaul.

Real Traffic AI handled traffic.

Real Pursuit AI handled pursuit behaviour.

Real Duty Callouts focused on LSPDFR scenarios.

Each existed in its own world.

RealV Rehaul takes a different approach.

It is being built as one structured single-player overhaul where different realism systems can communicate and build on each other.

A vehicle isn't just something one script sees for five seconds.

It can have:

  • Fuel

  • Engine state

  • Damage

  • Persistent condition

  • Financial consequences

  • World consequences

Civilian behaviour can eventually connect with other systems instead of existing in isolation.

That is the direction development is heading now.

RealV Rehaul is not replacing LSPDFR.

This is important.

RealV Rehaul is not being developed as:

  • An officer career system

  • A duty framework

  • A callout framework

  • An agency framework

  • An LSPDFR replacement

  • A police plugin loader

The goal is for RealV Rehaul to improve the civilian world surrounding police gameplay while remaining compatible with players who choose to use LSPDFR.

Beta 1 already contains an LSPDFR Friendly Mode specifically designed around that philosophy.

Thank you to everyone who downloaded, tested or played Real Duty Callouts.

Thank you as well to everyone who reported bugs, suggested improvements or simply gave one of my early projects a chance.

I know Real Duty Callouts didn't receive the development and fixes it should have received.

That experience has still been useful.

The problems, ideas and lessons from this project have all helped shape how newer projects are approached.

Rather than repeatedly trying to revive something built on a rushed foundation, it's time to move forward.

I only hopped one for a few to try it out, I tried out the traffic stop backup, wellness check, and one other forgot which one and it did it for all of them

Is it possible to have calls with SWAT teams in a helicopter rappelling down? Like a bank robbery? Are you attacking the airport, taking hostages, or committing a mass shooting?

Try adding welfare checks that when you check on a person it can turn out as everything is ok or turns out to be something gruesome

installed this mod and have gotten the domestic call and the shoplifter dispute call so far. in both cases the spawned peds are just standing in the middle of the road with no interaction available, and messages pop up from dispatch basically explaining what should happen...and then the call ends? not sure if this is a glitch or what

it's a bug. I am working on a brand new update that will be ready very soon :)

Why does the ini get generated in the plugins folder and not in plugins/LSPDFR? also the ini is blank.
