Will rockstar patch the crap out of GTA V for PC?

Featured Replies

i mean they want our money like seriously they are playing it like EA, Rockstar: Fuck you give me money. and the mods will "ruin" the game... unless they play it smart and let us do the modding and they just release DLC's.

I'm not sure what you are going on about, but R* hasn't really made it harder for modders in their games. True; They haven't helped, but not the other way around either. GTA V had some fun moments, but it seems to be quite stable tbh.

I wouldn't compare EA to R*, they're both very different companies.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Playing it like EA?

You mean for lots of paid DLC? Like Battlefield's premium?

Because if you haven't noticed, all the DLC is free for GTAV. And R* even said that the PC and "current gen" (Xbox One, PS4) will have all the DLC already released included in the game.

As for mods, no one knows until it's out. However, my 2 cents is, if we can mod it on console, shouldn't we have little issues with PC?

So...in other words...

Will Rockstar spend time fixing their game when things go wrong? Will they release free content for online each time?

Is that what you're asking?

Patches break mods yes, but they fix things in game and bring us new stuff. I personally wouldn't complain even if it makes my life difficult.

Excuse me, but thats not true. Not anymore at least. They're not charity. They're business. They're a successful company. And the secret of being a giant isn't always rainbow and chocolate but rather something nasty that you won't like when you see it.

I really don't think they care too much, they're more concerned about the online community, which I've never played, it seems like they're attitude is "take what you get" & that's that, they know people will play the game regardless of what they give, or they would have made it possible for you to still have money, I think the only thing they did was make it so you are able to drive around with no siren, which is cool.

i mean make the mods unstable and or wipe it out of existance in GTA V and making the game crash by launching the game with this mods.

Yes it is. I am playing it as we speak : D

Liar!

The only non-R* employee person to have GTA:V on PC is Carrythxd.

He hacked R* & downloaded a version for himself.

....

Oh wait, I think that was supposed to be a secret. hmm... *wonders*

EDIT: Damn, remembered. It was supposed to be a secret.

I'm sure they will patch the game quite a bit at first to squash bugs, improve performance, the usual, but as time goes on, the updated and patches will start to become less frequent to a point where we are now with IV. Except for Gta V Online. That may be updated for a while to come.

PC modding is 5 times easier than console modding, in my opinion. We probably can find ways to get around the patches R* adds. The thing that would be a pain in the ass is to re create the mods if R* adds a patch that doesn't make a mod work!
