Will You Stick Around When GTA V Comes Out?

Featured Replies

GTA V is coming out in a few days - will you be sticking around LCPDFR and wait on LCPDFR RC3/1.0 or will you be fully taken with GTA V?

I for one, probably wont start up GTA IV for a while (if ever). I might check out LCPDFR RC3/1.0 but I don't think I'll actually play it.

  • Yeah, I don't do console games.

I will most defiantly be here.

I'm going to rent GTA V for my PS3 so I can check out the map and explore, but I have zero interest in buying it or playing the story until a few months from now when it's either released on PC, or confirmed that it will not release on PC so I can pick up a used copy for my PS3 and save some money.

Seriously, I log in like every 5 minutes, if I open my browser, I will always click on LCPDFR, even when I should be doing my homework.

I actually had to block it for a few hours so I could get work done.

So yes. I will definitely be sticking around after GTA V, even after GTA VI, VII, and so on. This is my virtual home.

I defiantly will be due to the fact that GTA 5 actual gameplay looks terrible they have completely ruined the driving and crashing that GTA IV had the mechanics and physics of GTA V look absolutely horrid. Reminds me of Saints Row.

The big picture though is lets face it, people aren't going to be playing GTA V on console for months and months.  It looks like an absolutely fantastic game, but I'm not sure just how long people could play it religiously.  I think eventually in a couple of months everyone will be finished the story and start to get bored of the game.  Let's face it, we all like using our own mods and swapping out cars and making textures and scripts or whatever - these are things you simply can't do on GTA V because its on consoles.

For one, I don't understand why you said "RC3/1.0." 1.0 is no where near RC3 and the reason it was called RC3 is because it was a Release Candidate. 1.0 is a full release, not a candidate. Sorry, things like this are one of my pet peeves - VIN number and PIN number are the main ones though...(the N stands for number, you don't say "number" after saying VIN because then you are saying Vehicle Identification Number number).

Anyways, of course I'll be sticking around here. I'll play GTA IV still for LCPDFR. This is the only forum I participate in so I'm not going anywhere.

Also, more to the point, RC3 was a release candidate of *0.95* (I had your concern back when .95 was the version being worked on, as I'd rather have had the stable one). The next version will be *1.0*, which is a complete rewrite of 0.95, so RC3 is *not* a 1.0 release candidate.

considering I can't Mod console (legally anyway) sure I stick round even when the mods stop coming

Haha, I haven't played IV in over 3 months. Just hang out here because I love the community.

I had to ask for my account to be voluntarily suspended by the admins during my exam period since I was on here when I should've been studying lol.
