  • Of course I will stick around. Honestly, I'm not even here for the mod anymore, in fact I don't even play GTA IV anymore. I just love this community, so I stick around even when I should be doing othe

  • I'll be here too.  No PC version = no GTA V for me.   The big picture though is lets face it, people aren't going to be playing GTA V on console for months and months.  It looks like an absolutely f

  • Yeah, I don't do console games.

For one, I don't understand why you said "RC3/1.0." 1.0 is no where near RC3 and the reason it was called RC3 is because it was a Release Candidate. 1.0 is a full release, not a candidate. Sorry, things like this are one of my pet peeves - VIN number and PIN number are the main ones though...(the N stands for number, you don't say "number" after saying VIN because then you are saying Vehicle Identification Number number).

Anyways, of course I'll be sticking around here. I'll play GTA IV still for LCPDFR. This is the only forum I participate in so I'm not going anywhere.

I said RC3/1.0 because I wasn't sure what it would be called when it was released.

I'll still be here, mainly because I have no Xbox or PS3 (Why buy something that is half the quality of my pc?)

I'm just curious, was LCPDFR v1.0 delayed on purpose to coincide with the release of V to draw attention back to the mod/site or is it just a coincidence that its being released so close to V?

It had more to do with the fact it wasn't really being worked on by anyone except LMS, who was rewriting the code from scratch, until relatively recently.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

I of course will be playing both, eagerly awaiting 1.0, of which I have high hopes. Though I am saddened there will be no PC edition, as mods keep games alive and popular. Which is why I don't understand the stigma game companies place on modding, CoH2 was built so it was difficult to mod.

I've already set some money aside for GTA V but I'm not going to stop playing LCPD:FR. If anything, my GTA V play will probably make me want to play LCPD:FR even more!

P.S. Console can not have the power of a PC, therefore games look better on PC. Consoles can not show so much details and textures are changed, draw distance is also greatly decreased for the consoles etc

I'll repeat myself again;

A console is basically a PC you cannot upgrade, much like a laptop.

How much did a current gen console cost when it first came out? Around £300-400 right?

For the same amount of money, you could build a PC that has the same specs or is slightly better during those times when hardware wasn't as advanced (like no i7's or the GTX 690)

Yes, consoles are almost always instantly overthrown by PC's due to how often new parts are made and the wide range of customization each rig can have. But I bought a 360 all those years ago because I didn't need to worry about getting the right parts, building it (or paying someone else to) or even be concerned over having to upgrade it every now and then.

Consoles are for more relaxed gamers like myself, yes I do play games on my PC too but when I wanna relax on the sofa or in my bed to play a game, I'll stick my xbox on.

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

Well since I have a PS3 i'm going to be buying GTA 5 for it. I haven't played GTA 4 in over 5 months because its just the same old thing over and over again.

You don't have to just computer, what the hell do you guys do when you have friends over? Just sit around and watch tv? I bought a PS3 just for that so I could play video games with my friends when they came over.

im pumped for tommorow night midnight release...gta v looks like tons of fun...but even with arma 3 coming out of beta, and gta v about to drop. i still find time to get on gta iv LCPD-FR...if ur into this sort of thing, i dont think it will ever get old for dedicated players, this mod is the only game that actually puts u into the role of a police officer... its always fun to just get into your cruiser and patrol the streets...the only reason i ever see this game getting old is if gtav comes out on pc and you guys make LSpd-FR. im a firm believer that if gtaV drops on pc we will never look back..but personally i will hope that this community/lcpdfr team turns it completely upside down like yall did with gta iv. im loooking forward to the future with LCPDFR 1.0 and what possibilities gta v on pc could bring...

You don't need to buy new parts for the PC all the time... I've had my old GT card for almost 5-6 years and it served me pretty well for everything I do on daily basis. When I needed more power I've saved some money and bought all the new parts. My current PC is good enough for probably more than 5 years without any upgrading. Especially because my primary goal is not gaming; on the other hand you have "freaks" buying new parts every two months and I think that's stupid

PC has much more advantages over consoles for me. Only thing I'm looking to buy is a nice laptop with Core i7 and no graphics card. That done, I've got everything covered.

I'll be around as  their's  no LSPDFR lol

OF COURSE.

1) I don't have a console, and

2) If I did, I'd probably be trying out RC3 with all the sick new mods that'll be coming out...

 I'll second that!
