    I started back in January of 2017. I've really noticed this as well. There aren't as many new plugins being released as there used to be. More so I've seen a decline in the quality of vehicle mods. I feel that the standards have be laxed and a lot of the top quality guys like BradM and thegreathah from when I started have left the modding scene. Which sucks because I really miss being excite for their new mods and being thoroughly impressed with them. In my opinion, FiveM has kind killed the lspdfr vibe, most cars you seen now are "non-els FIveM ready". I know a lot of us wish lspdfr was able to be played with other players and that FiveM RP groups have somewhat made that available. Too each is own I guess

    I will start this off by saying that I started here way later than you just like JBin (2018). So my point of view will be from that time period onward.
    I will say that yes, it does feel like modders are moving on. Each for their own reasons. Whether it be irl stuff, other stuff, or just them not being happy with how LSPDFR handles things. It is a shame that such great modders have moved on, but hopefully new modders will step up and take the place to give us an even more in-depth future for modding.

    As for Albo, he just had real life stuff to deal with and he couldn't put anymore time into updating. Luckily, we have Bejoijo which provides an alternative to Albo's mods.

    You started long before I did.  I didn't find LSPDFR until Feb 2018.  I think it was still strong back then but I was busy trying to figure out how to install mods and other stuff.  This was the first game I spent time learning how to mod.  Not developing, just learning how to install it properly and what to do to prevent you from completely reinstalling the game.  Albo that "retired" from doing this from what I understand.  he posted that he is moving on to other stuff in late 2018 so he won't be updating his stuff anymore.  He does have this mods on open source and some where updated but still have problems.  I figure the best person to update the mod correctly is the author him/herself.  But if the author moves on then that mod might be dead.  Luckily, a mod developer named Bejoijo mod Stop the Ped and UltimateBackup which replaces a lot of what Albos mods did.  Link down below since he is not listing his mods on this site anymore.  With this latest update there are a few glitches that need to be worked out but I think the game is running ok for most.  This was a big update by R* where even LSPDFR had to be updated.  Also, Rage, Scripthook, Bejoijo updated his Stop the Ped and UltimateBackup.  If your game won't load then it may be you need to go into Open IV and update the Update.RPF which would possibly make some mods not work so you would have to reinstall them.  It's a pain but if you really want to play the game then that is what you do.  It is unfortunate that there doesn't seem to be a lot of developers like before.  If I knew how to develop mods then I would but I don't have time to learn it.  Barely have time a play it right now, just too busy in life.  LSPDFR does have what they call 4.0 version and they had some neat new features in the game that even eliminated some mods you would need.  I think it is decent they way it is.  Some more improvements could be made which I can't think of now but it is still decent.  Of course I haven't played it as long as most here.  Since you been out for so long you might have forgot somethings so put up a post if you get stuck and we'll try to help you through it.

    You have to add it to lspdfr.ini in the \LSPDFR folder.
    Like so:
    [Main]
    PreloadAllModels=False
    ForceDutyModel=s_m_y_cop_01
    MinimumBackupDistance=200

    This bug is what prompted me to make my cleanup plugin. Basically what happens is if police cars are spawned as persistent entities, then they will never go away. You can use the DismissVehicles command in my plugin to make them no longer persistent. They should despawn once you leave the area. You can also use the DeleteVehicles command to directly remove them.

    greenman reacted to Pie in How do I install the new Rageplugin hook?
    ok, thanks.

    I figured out the problem. Since I'm using mod manager the files are not saved in the GTA 5 folder and are stored somewhere else. Mod manager had its lspdfr files but also left the files in GTA 5 folder creating basically duplicates. So I had to delete the files in the GTA 5 folder for the new ragehook in the mod manager files.
    It seemed like it didn't want to remove the old files in there but it wanted to launch off from them.

    The game does launch now. Thanks!

    U dont need speed radar if u have TRAFFIC POLICER by albo1125.  Its a must have.
     Do u have all the necessary downloads for RPH and LSPDFR to run??  C+Redistribute, NETFRAMEWORK 6.4 i think.... ETC????
    I'm actually confused about your pathway in which u install mods.   Mine would be C:rootdrive/programs86\Steam\steamapps/Common\GTAV\then i would be in the folder with all the necessary files for the game.
    Anytime u post make sure u quote me so i get an alert letting me know u commented back

    Then I suggest what greenman said.  Post the log of  your last loadup, and possibly screen shot your gta5 route directory, and your plugins directory.  Also your computer specs.

    At this point I am still using RPH 0.34 and GTA 573.  I have my connection blocked so I can play in offline mode and GTA will not update.  At what point should I go ahead and update?  Meaning should I wait for all plugins to be compatible with the new update?  I guess I do not want to update and have plugins that are not working properly or have crashes.  Is there a certain point where I can say ok now I am cool to update?

    I am using a DVD version of the game which I purchased and is NOT a cracked version.

    In my opinion the world around u adds immersion as well.. U might want to look into some mods that add more PEDS, CARS and a variety of traffic on the road. Plus VisualV is always nice.

    First of all, the latest GTA V patch could not have come at a worse time.
    The power supply of my computer died a week ago, and I had just received the new PSU yesterday, when the patch was released.
    On top of that, I was preparing to go on vacation. So friday, I was repairing my computer, packing the last stuff for my vacation and making an update of RAGE Plugin Hook to support the latest GTA V patch.
    As always, I've tested and verified that the RPH update works with the Steam version of game patch 617, and as such, the update should work with any non-corrupted Steam installation. Ensure that you've updated other mods, like ScriptHookV, and that any modded RPF archives work with this version of the game. If you're using modded RPF archives, try renaming the mods folder to something else to disable them, and try again.

    It seems there is an issue with the retail version, which I haven't been able to test. I'm currently sitting in a cabin at my vacation site, and am unable to make any updates to RPH.
    I've notified LMS about the issue, and hopefully he'll be around soon to investigate the issue with the retail version of the game.
    Until then, the only thing I can suggest, is downgrade the game to version 573, and use RAGE Plugin Hook v0.34 for now.

    Website update
    I'd like to point out that we have not been DDoS'ed, and our host has not shut us down for using massive amounts of bandwidth.
    Instead, an issue with the website was causing high CPU usage; for each user trying to connect, and it had to be shut down as it was killing the server.
    This unfortunately means, that the website will be down, until I get back home and can rectify the issue.
    This page will continue to provide download links until then. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    That's extremely strange, it should not be like that. Does the game still work fine? Because if it's like that I wouldn't expect the game to work at all. There should be 19 folders, but you only have 1.

    No worries folks, the devs have already said they are without a doubt reading these pages, and I'm sure they're busy with A LOT of small fixes here and there for their next hotfix. I'm sure they'll well aware of this, and they never meant to give people a bad experience. They were trying to help with people being run over by GTA's illogical AI, and this feature was a "Swing and a Miss". They'll get it  .
    That having been said... If only Albo was on the Dev team

    Same thing here. I'm running barebones LSPDFR 0.3 too.
    I notice that the moment you initiate a traffic stop, any traffic around you going in the same direction stays on screen but traffic behind that disappears. In some instances, you can see the headlights distance vanish.
    In some instances they will turn around and the first available place to do so.
    This doesn't always happens to opposite direction traffic but when it does, they are making a u turn at the first opportunity.
    The moment the traffic stop is ended with one of the following:  1. you issue a citation / warning; 2. you make an arrest 3. you begin a pursuit, the traffic patterns return to normal.
    I agree with earlier poster that this is way over the top to help players prevent traffic jams or other accidents during a traffic stop. Having traffic going by you during should remain part of the game.
