[REL] Realism Dispatch Enhanced 3.1.1

Featured Replies

Gotta say I'm loving the update, but I'm getting pretty much consistent crashes at 3+ wanted stars, usually when I'm in a vehicle. Is there anything I can try on my end to fix these or is this a bugfix problem? The only mods I have right now are RDE, VisualV and Rippler's Realism, so I'm not sure about compatibility.

Rippler's Realism modifies some files that RDE modifies too. I have installed RDE first and then RR, however, I was careful not to overwrite any of the files RDE modifies.

Not sure if that's the right way to do it. However, I barely ever crash so something must be right.

This is possible; I've noticed that the crashes I mentioned both happened when I was in a vehicle and aiming a weapon behind me, and once when I kicked a cop car. It could be something to do with weapons or weapon damage in that case. I'll try your method and see if I get the same result.

Did the LSPD, LSSD and BCSO have Cars in RDE with Rotator Lights too?

Nope, if I remember correctly the only police vehicles that have rotator lights are the LSPD and LSSD transporters. Everything else gas LED lights.

Only the LSPD have the Rotator Lights extra in RDE, right?

The screenshots, and to some extent even the trailer, contain images and footage from several different people, who all have slightly different settings. Attached to this post you'll find my visualsettings.dat (install into (mods folder\)update\update.rpf\common\data) that has the brightness on emergency lights (and I believe indicator lights because I found those a bit too dark too) turned up quite a bit. You can also grab a visual settings mod of your choice, as far as I know they generally don't conflict with RDE.

The SAHP Staniers should have steady burning lights, on the LED bar it's (I think) the 2nd red light from the outside, and the rotator bar has one in the center pod, which doesn't spin but instead is just facing forward like the real ones CHP used to have.

The relationships.something file has been edited to some extent to make groups like gangs and cops dislike eachother more, which does cause more shootouts in gang areas, but as far as I know it doesn't change how impatient AI drivers are, or how they drive when panicking.

visualsettings.dat

Thank you

I will try the visual settings and see if it works good on my setup.

And regarding the lightbars on the Staniers the halogen rotator one was what I was asking about. For me all the lights do rotate including the red one in the center pod. Does that mean there is an issue with installation or settings?

So is it only the SAHP Staniers that are supposed to have steady reds?  It seems like every single car I've spawned so far has a steady burn red light somewhere, no matter what vehicle or agency it is. On the light bars it's the middle red one and on the cars with lights in the front windshield the red on that is steady burn.

Nope, literally every vehicle except for the motorcycles (because they're a pain to edit and will be changed later on) and federal vehicles (NOOSE, FIB, USAF Security Forces) have steady burning lights, as do their real life counterparts because of California specific laws.

No, as I told you only the LSPD and LSSD Transporters do, and I just remembered the SAHP Stanier has a rotator lightbar too.

@Cop1980 The center pod rotating too, probably means something else went wrong when compiling the final build. We're not quite sure what happened, but it looks like a bunch of older files was used, meaning some fixes from internal testing builds were reverted. UPDATE: I just checked on my game and the steady burn worked fine. I'm not running the release build though, so this'll require some further investigating to see on whose side the issue is.

This is what I've done with RDE and ELS vehicles. I got it working flawlessly. Big thanks to RDE for making it easy to mod and filling in the blanks with lore friendly stuff.

Visit me on youtube. The most common reason for crashing is user error. Make sure you have the latest RAGE, ScripthookV, ScripthookVdotnet and turn off your antivirus. Make sure you have an up to date gameconfig.xml as well. Use Allbo's plugin troubleshooter to find any errors too.

How did you get your ELS lights looking so good! Mine always look to faded!

Increasing the day and night emissives along with having postfx, shaders, and shadows on high will also make your lights look good if you want to do it manually.  A lot of folks think RadianceV and all these other ones are the only way to make them bright.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

I crash regardless of what I'm doing, sometime more than others. Could just be too much memory. I get a whole shitload of cars spawning in traffic plus when I have 15 units, all modified to ELS models. It adds up

Just a question, do you receive any specific error message or a simple "GTA V stopped working" one?

I don't crash often, but sometimes it happens. Even after I spent around $500 on a new graphic card and a CPU cooler.

Read the above posts... Checked in game... Yeah, vehicles do have steady burns. This level of attention to details is amazing.

All I need right now -- or probably even "we need" - is a ticket scipt. Sometimes I do want to pull over on the side of the highway for that SAHP unit and not end up in jail. However, the dense AI would probably ram me off the road, kill himself or park in the middle of the highway :D

Do you uninstall WOV by deleting the rdewov folder or is there any other files to edit/delete?

Yes, you'd have to edit several other files that reference content added there, otherwise it could cause crashes if the game tries to spawn nonexistent peds or vehicles.

In other words, if you delete the rdewov folder, you're going to have a bad time.

Damn, because I think it's causing my game to have textures disappearing while playing LSPDFR and calling for backup during a pursuit
