Featured Replies

I really dont see what they could release now...as other mod authors are pretty much covering everything IMO.

  • That stream chat was atrocious. Some people have no respect for the work and time that goes into creating a free mod like this. Absolutely amazing job guys. LSPDFR is better than ever.

  • True. Gtaforums are full of threads about singleplayer updates\DLCs and other speculations. Rockstars know that, but they make easy cash with Online, so it's all about money, and they will not support

Then don't update your game. Follow one of the multiple tutorials on backing up and restoring the older version.

you still have to update eventually as the mods only start supporting recent version. or be stuck with old stuff, old problems. all while everyone else enjoy shiny coll stuff thats in the latest version of whatever mod.

Just wondering, does lspdfr 0.3.1 actually have any other callouts that aren't stuff like road chases? That's all I've been getting so far. I would download the callout mods, but I would just prefer that everything be included as one big thing in lspdfr.

LSPDFR includes 3 callouts per default. If we include too much stuff, we feel that we'd be working against the idea of having an API.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I just bought GTA 5 from Steam so I got the latest update... I wanted to play this mod but the LSPD FR doesn't work with the newest version what can I do? i have all the other mods working

i feel your pain...i bought the game on PC JUST to play this mod, almost a year struggle to get it to work FINALLY did, and thats all i get lol with all the new updates from Rockstar, not sure if any of the other callouts will work or not, i tried the swat one and it kept failing, the other one that comes with radar and drunk drivers etc, would work for a few minutes then freeze so i dunno... guess you can try and see what happens.

Yeah, mine doesn't crash too much for the most part, but it took me forever to get rage hook to work. I just don't see why we should need to download a million separate things for us to get it worthwhile to play, hopefully the team members will address this issue, they could at least have the mission packs come with the mod... (HINT, HINT)

but I think once lspdfr is at version like 0.5 or 0.6 it will be pretty good, and once ELS is released. But until then I think I'm sticking with gta 4.

yeah, too bad rock star didn't offer something like this... they could make a killing off selling extra mission packs, vehicles, roles etc... I'm waiting for the day with lift kits and drop kits rather drop everything, lol different size wheels, better sounds, if you equip exhaust, actually change the note etc lol

Don't give Rockstar any ideas! I'd rather show my support to this fine community then line the pockets of Rockstar. This is where the passion is at :)

Exactly. I'd rather donate to the passionate people developing without the motivation of greed, the end product will always be better that way.

RockStar doesn't give a damn about the single player community.  Why do you think that their DLCs offer NOTHING to the single player?  This is unforgivable, to be quite honest.  Only implementing new content that can only be played online.......what's the matter, why isn't it also available in single player?  As I said, unforgivable.  As if the 2008 GTAIV port wasn't bad enough......

Hell, I'm tired of those updates. They give me nothing but headache. I have to update my stuff and recreate some mods just to make my game work as before. And I would be OK with it if those updates gave me something new in terms of gameplay or didn't break mods at least. So I stopped playing LSPDFR 1.5-2 months ago because of constant crashes after Bikers update, though I never had any gamebreaking problems with LSPFR or RPH before.

Screw Rockstar, screw their Online crap, I will not buy their games again.

It is ridiculous, really.  All of this online content added but nothing that can be utilized in single player.  Personally I don't care much for online multiply due to the reduced amount of pedestrians, reduced traffic, and differing game physics.  The only thing the updates do for us is cause headaches when it comes to moded single play - you pretty much have to start over from scratch.  Most times I just delete my mods folder and start over.

I read an article about RockStar's previous president wishing for DLC to be applied to single play as well, but, when he resigned (or was replaced?) the new president is only in favor of DLC being added for multiplayer.  Which comes down to money as you say........they don't make any more money with single player unlike multiplayer which idiots will spend real money to get digital crap in their games.  True morons!

Without the community there would be no rockstar either.  Without the modding community GTAV would much more quickly move to oblivion as well.

Given the popularity of GTA Online, no, not really. The modding community isn't as big as some people think, most people still play the game the way it was originally intended.
