  1. Hello there, I am having the seculauncher 2000 error on startup, I know that this is common and usually related to C++ or .NET framework. I know that I have .NET framework, but am unsure of C++, and when I try to download C++ the installer starts for a few seconds saying "Gathering information" then it automatically closes by itself. The weird part is that several days ago my game was working perfectly, and I re-installed it to get off all the mods since I wanted to play the vanilla game but after that this began happening. Also if it helps at all, if I try to launch the gtaivlauncher.exe as an administrator I get a windows UAC alert that the program may be dangerous and it won't let me run it at all, however I feel that this is a false positive because as stated this is on a clean install. My game is bought through steam, any help is greatly appreciated. Also, I apologize for making a new post for a common problem but after looking through the other posts nothing mentioned could solve my problem. Again thank you for your time. Nevermind got it working finally, however the fix was to not run GTAIV as an administrator, I feel like this may make the game slightly less unstable as it already is.
  2. Because in the U.S. pits are more common id be nice if during a chase you could hit a hotkey to have other units back off while you performed something similar. Also, just my personal suggestion, it would be nice to be able to have a key to switch between AI just chasing the suspect not hitting them, and AI causing the classic GTA demolition derby, because personally I prefer the former but I've heard people enjoy the other aswell. I remember there being a mod for this awhile ago but I think it's incompatible now.
  3. good, I'm happy everything worked out
  4. send some screenshots of your gta 4 root folder. (The one where GTAIV.exe is located)
  5. Does anybody know how to use the enb injector for gta 4?
  6. hehehe... you my friend are in for a fun ride... steam version eh? me too. let's see if I can walk you through this. On steam, right click on grand theft auto 4 in your library, then on "Properties" which should be at the very bottom, now on the new window that just opened up click on "Set launch options..." and copy and paste the following into the box that shows up: -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -availablevidmem 4096 -reservedApp 0 -refreshrate 30 -noprecache -frameLimit 1 -windowed -reserve 0 What this is going to do for you is let you change the graphics settings, and more importantly actually play the game with less crashes and it will help you avoid the dreaded disappearing textures bug. Next, this is almost as important as the previous step. you are going to download this thing called xliveless. it will completely disable social club. if you were planning to play online, sorry. but the chances of you actually getting the game to run ok with it are almost none. here's the link to xliveless, just drag and drop the files into your GTAIV root folder which is the one that contains GTAIV.exe https://www.moddb.com/games/grand-theft-auto-iv/downloads/xliveless-0999b7 So ya already did the paul.old.dll thing. hopefully those 2 steps above fixes whatever you said went wrong with that, if it didn't then just tell me. Now... start up gta 4 and make sure everything is working A-ok. nevermind, gta 4 will never work A-ok, just make sure that it's playable. [: If it's not then explain to me in great detail what's not working. If it is working then go download lcpdfr 1.1. install it using it's installer which should install itself. (basically just double click the installer and it will walk you through the installation. Once again after that's done start up the game again and make sure that everything works, if it does then press "ALT+P" you should get a message that lcpdfr has started up or something like that. if that works then congratulations, you just installed everything correctly and can now play lcpdfr until your little peasant eyes melt out of their sockets from your PC screen. Now, their is ABSOLUTLY NO WAY that you got this on the first try, so just message me back with whatever goes wrong and I'll get back to you as soon as I can when I feel like it.
  7. yeah that's the problem, I am using an enb. but the d3d9.dll file causes the error, this happens on all the enb's I try. (yes, I do indeed do a clean install before trying each one.) Any ideas?
  8. I have the same problem, I do not use paul.dll, I have xliveless. if I try and start the game a get a 0x000005 error. This only happens when I use the d3d9.dll. Anyone have an idea?
  9. Just wondering if anyone has seen a 2005-ish Chevy Tahoe, preferably unmarked and ELS. I looked and only saw a couple which will work, but wanted to know if there were any better ones out there.
  10. Thanks, I got it working.
  11. Howdy there, I got a small problem where nearly all the vehicles are able to spawn on their own, or through a trainer. But (after replacing them with new models) the fbi and polpatriot can only sometimes be spawned. When trying to spawn them through a trainer it freezes for about 30 seconds and says "Cannot spawn vehicle, check the model" but the model is fine. Any ideas?
  12. After you install the game, open Steam, then in the lower left corner of your game library there is a little button that says "ADD A GAME..." click this then click "Add a non-steam game" from here find GTA5 and add it to your library.
  13. just get familiar with CAD programs and learn how to model.
  14. Oh yeah, no problem. Just keep it in mind for later. (:
