Deep breath guys!    Just want to clear a few things up.  I made this mod EVL compatible for a few reasons:  I am lighting freak and I really like flexibility a mod like EVL affords.

Guys, I am not dead yet (neither is the project)....I just honestly had zero time to put into this the past few months.  I am longing to get back at it....i just can't answer as to when.

  • I've had a few people ask me that via PM....i'll send out the template to those who are interested as soon as I have it ready.  That way, we can have a bunch of skins ready when it's released. Worki

not to worry, i've just been a little distracted by fallout 4.  It's been chewing into my modding time....  I will be back at it soon.  ELV was removed??  ugh, i will have to check it out.

Let's be honest though.... I feel like this website has been kinda dead since fallout came out :P it's taken over peoples life!! Good luck searching the wasteland people :) don't let the raiders get ya :D

I must admit I've been a little sat on the fence over EVL but seeing the videos of this has made me think I'll take the plunge when this model is released. I get the light limit that we have with vanilla game engine is it lots of extra work to make bits for EVL? Not tried any kind of modelling so kind of intrigued what it entails?

If someone makes their own parts to use like myself, it can take a lot more time to get EVL / ELS up and running. But it works so much better, and is a lot easier to set up than vanilla lighting in my opinion.

Thanks for the insight!

Man you have done an outstanding job on this car!!!! I cannot wait to be able to use it in game since finally by the grace of God we have a whelen liberty coming!!! (Favorite lightbar of all time!!) Any updates or time frame before we get to get an instant chubby the first time we load this puppy in game??? haha.

How have you dealt with the rear light? I know Desmonds rear light looks really realistic during the day time, but at night the central ring ends up looking white. The texture he uses is good because it looks exactly like it does in real life.

That's the light i'm talking about

I'll take a pic of the rear light and upload it. It is not white at all

If it hasn't already been said, use 'Baller2" handling. It works extremely well with Desmond's Explorer, so it might be worth trying that. Would also like to say that I would love to do a texture before release. Will be looking out for this and following the post, good luck.

Yeah I just can't stand the valor or Arjent light bars anymore lol.  Zoogenhiemer hasn't updated this thread in awhile now.

Polcat324 on YouTube is using a Ford Explorer with looks like a finished interior or somewhat and it looks so good with the lighting set up. Just saying, not trying to promote his YouTube channel. If anyone hasn't seen that yet.

I can second that. Im just looking for a range of vehicles with a different lightbar to the Arjent. The CHP Explorer Polecat uses is by Netman005 I think. It would be good to get something like another Explorer, perhaps streaching out so far with a vehicle like a Suburban (boy I would love a slicktop/unmarked version).

Yeah that would be awesome! But I guess it's hard to get a lot of lighting on the cars without ELS. I would love a slick top version too! Hopefully some are working on them and will release them.  Carperino should be almost done with the charger soon and releasing soon too.

I didn't know if they were to be released. If they are, that Tahoe is on my list for sure.

Yeah he said soon. I want a Tahoe so bad!  I hope zoogenhiemer will update this thread on his progress.
