I hated the badges, so it's good to see them gone. The new layout is definitely going to take some time to get used to though, everything seems foreign.

They're totally coming back!

  • I'll probably sound like the "It was better before" guy, but yeah, I don't really like how the website is now, it looks very messy. Before I could find every single thing I needed by a single glance a

  • We literally only just upgraded and haven't changed a single thing except the theme.  Give us some time to bring back the structure and such!

Woop! I love this new theme! Really nice.

This is all really nice, but I'm having a lot of problems with getting notifications just because I commented. OR even if I haven't even touched the topic, I've already gotten notifications that people have posted?

Yeah, I'm getting notifications that people are posting, commenting or uploading things. To be honest, I don't really care what most of the people do, except for a handful of people. I'm hoping I can customize my notifications, because this is gonna get nasty in a hurry. I don't want 1000 notifications for stuff I don't care about and miss out on something I do.

I believe you are getting all these notifications because with this new version of IPB they have made it about content, posts are now known as content and you don't have friends you have followers. So when the people you are friends/follow post, it will notify you they have uploaded new content. The easiest way to stop getting all these notifications, especially if you're popular would be to mess around with these settings to see if you can get it so only notifications you want are shown.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

I think a new leaf is good. It was time for a change, and convenient that the transition happened when GTAV came out (Everybody is too busy gaming to be bothered by LCPDFR being down for a bit). Hopefully this new leaf can be a good stepping stone to new stuff, to better functionality. I like the new theme, and IPB, it looks good!

Except the people who can't run GTA 5. Like me. So instead of being excited about the PC Version, I was excited about the new LCPDFR.com and looks good! I like it! Once everything's completely finished it will look better.

I don't know how I will run it, but Rockstar tells me that when I get it I should be able to run it 60 FPS at 1080p (I run GTA-IV at 52 FPS 1080p), and my computer is not amazing. I think it will run well like any other new game (BF3, Arma3, etc.). GTA-IV was just so poorly ported that people assume GTA-V will run bad and slow. Just give it a try, they might have done it right this time.

I still need to get used to it. I'm sure once all of the code and html text is fixed it will look much cleaner. But as of now, the site looks promising. I, however, am unable to play GTA since I started Steam and now GTA is at 59.0 GB/59.1 GB even though I downloaded everything last night. no matter. Surfing the internet I go!!

Yeah, if you are getting notified when someone posts something it's because you are "following" them. Your old "friends" are now the people you are "following." I stopped following everyone.

I guess I don't have friends anymore then. Unless it's going to change back to how it was?

The new site is looking good.  IPS has finally pulled through and released the software.  Although a lot of people may be confused at first, once the systems are all finished in their upgrade process, the site will be better all the way around for everyone.

Will be nice to see how they use the new software updates to improve everything!

Probably not in the immediate future.  For this to return, either G17 Media or another 3rd party developer would need to write a plugin or application to do this.  There was a large discussion on this change on Invision Power's forums, and still is a hot issue today as more website owners are upgrading their communities.

I really like the new layout - It's clean and organized. Plus, the new "Photo Cover" on profiles is an awesome addition! I already made myself one. :)

Great job LCPDFR!

If that's the case, there better be an option to disable them. With a lot of work they could look alright I suppose but the previous design looked like something a three year old came up with in Microsoft Word.
